Lu is the only person I trust to do my brows. She is a down to earth person and a real professional. Every time I go in she greets me by name and even remembers the people in my family. I had the worst brows ever and Lu saved them, I cannot believe I used to walk around with over tweezed thin eye brows. Getting the courage to microblade my brows took 3 years to build lol. Lu would always tell me get the microblading done and you won't have to worry about tinting and how your brows look. But I was too scared. When I finally got it done I was so mad at myself for waiting that long. The process was smooth and simple. I had to fill out paperwork prior to my appt and she set me up for the procedure. Because microblading is considered tattooing she had to show me all the new needles and blades etc. Lu even had on protective garments which made me feel comfortable that she was clean and professional. She did numb my brows but I could feel the strokes on my left brow, when I felt something she stopped and numbed me again, which I appreciate because I was already nervous. I couldn't feel anything on my right brow. When we were done my brows looked amazing and natural. It didn't look like someone grabbed a sharpie and colored in my brows. The strokes of the blade and needle looked so natural even my nieces and mom thought it was real hair! I just got my 40 day touch up last week and I love my brows. I was hesitant at first to get my eyebrows microbladed because I was not only scared, but had never experienced getting a tattoo before. I thought tattooing and microblading would relatively be the same. Lu's assistant mentioned to me that she has tattoos and had microblading done. From her experience, she told me that tattooing and microblading was not the same as how she felt with the sensations of being poked. She reassured me by telling me that I could go to a consultation first to meet with Lu to have a better understanding of what the procedure would be like and could decide from there. She also said that everybody experiences pain differently and that some clients even sleep or feel little to no sensations at all. I did some research and watched some videos to get to know more about the procedure. I heard a lot of good reviews about Lu and knew family and friends who have gone to her. When I met Lu, I've told her that I was nervous and that I take awhile to get numb. She told me not to and that we'll wait 15-20 minutes for the cream to do its job. She told me if I feel anything she would apply more cream. I, then built up some courage to have got it done. I kept on telling myself to think of the after results and how beautiful my brows will come out. I'm so glad and relieved to have made the decision to have gotten them done. In 2014-2015 my friends recommended Lu to me. As a 18 year old, I fell in love with my brows every time I was able to go in and see her. I continued going to Lu for over 6 years regardless of where I lived on the island. This meant some days I would face the traffic from west side to North Shore that was well over a hour compared to the 10 minute drive I had when I first started seeing Lu. Every minute invested was worth it. Had I not relocated To Kauai, I would still be going to her.
