I cannot resist killing time by browsing bookstores, and Fully Booked in Greenbelt5 is one of the places I like to browse. It's usually quiet (unless some kid is making a ruckus), and the selection is fairly good, though not as extensive as the other bigger branches. What I like most about this branch is that it's easy to see all the art supplies in one go. When I'm really in the mood to just doodle or sketch, I go to this branch of Fully Booked to get blending stumps, maybe a new sketchpad and a couple of pencils. I also like to browse the art books, since Fully Booked almost always has the "Art of (insert recently shown movie here)". I'm still waiting for "The Art of the Avengers: Age of Ultron" to come out, but it will likely be a while before it's released. Anyways, sometimes I like just looking at the Letraset Marker displays here. You can find almost every color marker there is, and they even have several "sets" for architects, fashion designers, and manga artists. Speaking of artists, they also offer art classes here at P2500 for 4 sessions, and I think that includes the basic materials. I'm actually tempted to take it, but then there's also the Andrew Loomis instructional book for only P1700, so... hmmm. Anyway. There are a lot of good books you can pick up here, whether you're looking for fiction, non-fiction, coffee table books, travel guides, philosophy, cooking... and if they don't have it, you can ask one of the friendly staff to order it for you and they'll get it to you... months later. I know, it can be a bit frustrating, but they do come through. My Dad's um girlfriend ordered a hard-to-find copy of a book he's literally been looking for for YEARS called "Japanese Destroyer Captain", and she got it from Fully Booked MONTHS after... which could have been nice if I didn't get the same book from Amazon online ALREADY and it arrived in just a week, and at a discounted price! But, in fairness to Fully Booked Greenbelt5, it's still a good place to shop for a new book, or to get art supplies, whether you're into painting, sketching, or just plain doodling. read more
