I used to frequent Book Sale for copies of the out-of-print Sweet Valley books which were always available and sold at a discount! Now they don't carry it anymore but I still love going in to check out all the good paperbacks that cost half the price of those sold brand new. So what if they're second-hand? Most that they sell in Book Sale are in near-mint condition, and if you're like me who loves old-looking books, then you won't mind at all. It's just that I feel like if books were obviously used with marks in the spine, pages a bit discolored and with little folds, then they've been well-loved and have more stories to tell... HAHA. Or maybe that's just the romantic in me. But seriously though, Book Sale always has a lot of good titles, whether fiction or nonfiction, hardbound or paperback, children's books or textbooks. They don't object to you reading on the premises, so browse and read to your heart's content! :) They also have a lot of nice unopened back issues of magazines, both local and foreign ones, like the New Yorker, which, again, you can get at a much cheaper price! Book Sale also sells some school supplies, pads and notebooks. They have some plain white pads here, in different sizes, sold at just P10-P15! read more
