My friend went to this NP for Aesthetic procedures and wanted to write this review…read more To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally submit a review and detail critical concerns regarding the care and treatment provided by Nurse Practitioner Monique Lucero. During my consultation, NP Lucero explicitly stated that she was prescribing me brand-name Ozempic. However, upon receiving the medication, I discovered that I was provided with a generic compound instead. This misrepresentation raised immediate concerns regarding transparency and informed consent. Furthermore, upon inspecting the medication, my primary physician advised me strictly against taking it due to severe packaging violations. Specifically, the medication arrived without a lot number printed on the packaging--a direct violation of federal and state pharmaceutical safety regulations and laws governing prescription labeling. In addition to receiving a generic compound instead of the promised brand-name Ozempic, the medication was provided pre-drawn in entirely unlabeled syringes. The packaging contained no lot number, expiration date, or any identifying information. Because the syringes and packaging lacked labeling or a traceable lot number, there was no way to verify the liquid inside, rendering the medication untraceable and unsafe to administer. Misrepresenting prescribed medications and distributing improperly labeled, untraceable pharmaceuticals poses a serious risk to patient safety. Due to these illegal dispensing practices and professional misconduct, I am submitting a formal complaint to the California Board of Registered Nursing for a full investigation into NP Lucero's practice.

I scheduled my appointment approximately one week in advance and had been looking forward to…read morereceiving the services I requested. Unfortunately, the experience became frustrating before I even arrived. When I scheduled my appointment, I was told the business offered a particular service that I specifically asked about. The day before my appointment, I called to confirm the details and learned that they do not actually offer that service. Had I been given accurate information from the beginning, I would not have waited a week for an appointment that could never meet my needs. What disappointed me most wasn't the initial mistake--errors can happen. It was how the situation was handled. Rather than apologizing for the misinformation or trying to make it right, the gentleman I spoke with argued with me and insisted I must have been communicating with AI rather than an actual person. I am certain I spoke with a person. Our original conversation required human judgment and interaction--far beyond what an AI system could have provided. Even after I explained this and shared the information I had been given, he refused to take any responsibility and instead repeatedly shifted the blame to me as the customer.

I began hormone replacement therapy (HRT) through the wellness side of Li Surgery in November, with a scheduled follow-up in February for pellet reinsertion. In January, I also enrolled in an additional 3-month program, with a follow-up appointment scheduled for the same February date. On the day of my appointment, I received a call informing me that the wellness center was closing effective immediately. This left me scrambling to find a new HRT provider, which is already a stressful and time-sensitive process. I reached out regarding a refund for the 3-month program I had just started in January. After multiple emails and calls with no response, I was eventually told I would not receive a refund because I had received medication. However, I was only provided a 30-day vial for what was supposed to be a 90-day program. I did not receive additional refills, nor did I receive the follow-up visits that were included in the program services that were canceled by the clinic, not by me. Additionally, the original flyer clearly stated that if the treatment was not a good fit or did not work, a full refund would be issued. Despite this, I have still not received any refund or resolution. Prior to this situation, my experience was positive, staff were friendly and the clinic appeared professional. Unfortunately, the way this closure and billing issue have been handled has been extremely disappointing and has left me without both care and accountability. I hope the office takes responsibility and works toward a fair resolution.
