By far the worst reception I've ever had applying for a job and maybe life in general. Walked into the front office waiting room and smiled and waved at the office staff through the little sliding window that was open . The two women didn't even aknowledge me even thoigh we made eye contact and the portly balding man who I'm assuming was the manager asked me "what can I do for you?" But with a negative tone as if he was inconvenienced by my presence. I told him, "Im interested in applying." After all I had been referred by an acquaintance and I called the day previously and spoke with a secretary who said I could fill out a paper application on site. He said, "applying?"; with the same indignant tone. I said, "yeah for a job." He then said "a job?", as if he couldn't comprehend the word or my insistence. I said "yes." He then snapped back at me, "we're not hiring." I said, "oh," and briefly paused about to ask if I could still apply so that they could have my information on file, but before anything could leave my mouth, he said, "Im not going to waste your time or mine and have you apply cuz we have applications waiting." The rude man knew absolutely nothing about me other than that I was interested in investing my time into his company. Before I could say anything again, he closed that little waiting room window essentially in my face. Wow I sure dodged a bullet there. I'm elated that they're not hiring. If that's how they treat complete strangers, I can't imagine how they treat their staff. read more
