After our initial meeting, I had ONE follow up question (Is there a fraud provision in real estate in MD?). It's a basic, straightforward question. Answered by a DIFFERENT law firm (who had ZERO background on my matter) comprehensively in 11 minutes. Here is how things went (sorry Yelpers for the belated review). I emailed Peter on 10/28, 11/1, and 11/2. In addition, I left two voice messages with persons answering the phones at his practice on November 2. I got an email from Peter on November 3, telling me to reach out for an appointment "one day the following week". So I called AGAIN to make the appointment, and the lady answering the phone said he had lots of availability before then if I was interested (so why would he tell me to make an appointment the following week??), so I booked an appointment. But you cannot just confirm an appointment on the phone; I had to use his online scheduling system and chose a free time. Ok, fine. But he then declined, despite appearing free, then he didn't decline or accept the next appointment I had to make using his online scheduling system!!! I then called, and my call went to the front desk. I placed four additional calls from my mobile to his office throughout November, as well as a couple of calls from my landline. I wasted hours over the course of more than one month trying to get a 10 minute call with Peter, which never happened. What's crazy is while he and his firm could not get back to me, throughout this time, they were SOLICITING ME to use him for estate planning services!!!! SERIOUSLY?!?!? Dude, it's the DC area. Everyone is busy. If you cannot get back to someone for a 10 minute follow up call in over a month, have the decency to say so - and don't solicit that person for further business. By contrast, I was referred to another attorney who did real estate work who got back to me in 24 hours, easily set an appointment, then gave me the answer I was looking for and then some in 11 minutes.
