At the same time we contacted the State farm to let them know the same situation. Mike with Range3 showed up within 37 minutes of our original call. Handled everything politely and professionally. And also made us feel like we were family. I cannot recommend this company enough! PS - KeatingLies.com AND their SOS service has still not showed up 3 hours later.

When we explained exactly why the car was non drivable, he laughed with us at the pure incompetence at the person who couldn't tighten an oil plug correctly. The price of the tow was even better, under $100 when other companies were wanting almost $200 which in this economy can be a big detriment depending on your income. To me the number 1 thing about Jesse was after I mentioned to him I was a few weeks with child, he made sure to put his cigarette out before walking back over to me and that's a level of consideration that I'll always appreciate. If you need a kind, considerate, get it done ASAP tow Jesse is the man for the job. We will definitely be asking for him be name if we ever need a tow again!. Update on the car: Turns out that the problem was a bit more than just the oil plug not being tightened enough, it looks as though the entire oil pan was hit and dented by something on the road (which of course was not caused by the tow truck). Nonetheless, we highly appreciate the quick friendly service provided by Jesse and we'll recommend him to anyone who needs a relatively cheap yet quick and friendly tow service.

I called Milstead around 6:20 pm because the online portal did not show that the status of my service had been updated to show that the tow truck was in route or that the truck had already picked up my vehicle. I was told by a Milstead employee that their drivers were behind because of traffic and could not arrive before 7 pm. This was going to be a problem because the business my vehicle was at closed at 7 pm. The employee said that she could reschedule my service for 8 am the next day and I agreed to that. For the original service request, I spoke to a Milstead employee at 4:24 pm to confirm that they had received my request and it was confirmed. No one from Milstead contacted me to say that they were not going to be able to adhere to their arrival time. The next day, I called Milstead around 8:15 am to see if my car had been picked up and the employee said that my service had been set for 10-11 am and could not be moved to a sooner time. I let the employee know about my situation from the previous day and she said there was no documentation that my tow service was rescheduled for 8 am that day. I canceled my service with Milstead because they pushed back their arrival time twice without updating me that they would be doing so.

I was swayed by Conroe PD to have it towed instead by this wrecker company/body shop because it would supposedly be more "convenient" and "cheaper." I was not even given the card of where my car was going until I asked multiple times. On Thursday we called Tommy's Paint and Body and a woman answered, took our email address, and said they would look at it and reach back out with a quote. Friday morning we called and they had still not looked at the car, so we assumed they were busy. She again said they would get back to us. We called later in the day and she said they would look at it "now." We called for a third time Friday and a man answered saying he didn't know anything about it, they were closed, and we would have to wait until Monday. Meanwhile, the lot fees were $22.85 a day, plus a $20 impound fee even though we were led to believe it was not being impounded, a $50 "storage notification fee" even though WE were the ones repeatedly calling THEM, and on top of the $200 tow fee there was also a $35 fuel charge. We let them know Thursday that this would not be covered by insurance and we needed a quote on making it drivable and fully fixed as well. Then Monday we were just now informed that moving my car from the impound lot next door into the actual body shop would not even be an option until we came in person to pay the impound fees first, and that they do not allow over-the-phone payment. If these fees and requirements had been disclosed Thursday, we would not have left the car sitting there for days while nobody even looked at it. At that point it felt very obvious they were more interested in charging lot/storage fees than actually helping customers. They did not disclose certain fees up front, or that we would have to come in person with cash or money order just to have it looked at or to tow it elsewhere. We ended up towing it to a different shop. I let them know my issues with the service and they showed zero concern nor apologetic. Terrible communication and terrible service.

My mom's car was impounded by Conroe PD and sent here. The representative we spoke with (Steven…read moreMcKay) refused debit card payment and insisted only on accepting cash or money order. This is illegal in the state of Texas. We called during open business hours (around 1:50something pm) but were called back and told by Steven McKay he would be going into a meeting and no one would be available to assist us to get the car back. So we waited for him to contact us after his meeting before ubering there. He contacted my mom after the posted business hours to the facility itself around 7pm letting her know we could come. We ordered the Uber, had to withdrawal cash and she received two calls rushing her on the way there. When we arrived to the location given the business was closed, Steven and his family were pulled up in a car in the parking lot and did the entire transaction outside of the facility in the rain while we got soaked until he opened his trunk and had us stand under it. I still was getting soaked but at least my mom was covered. He refused to make any change for our transaction stating he had no way to provide change so we had to pay over the stated price to pay the total amount and received no receipt of transaction what so ever, at no point did he offer us any way of knowing exactly what we were being charged $271.12 for. Thankfully I had a couple dollars to give my mom or she would have had to pay him $18 and some change over instead of almost a dollar over. But when he thought she'd have to give him a full $20 for $1.12 missing he stayed firm in that he could not give change and would have to take the overcharge. He did accept the almost $1 overcharge and still provided no change. This is illegal. Then we were asked to walk around the corner and across the street in the rain to where her car was locked up. And finally given back the car. I will be taking this up with Conroe PD and bringing to light the predatory towing going on here. We were told this facility is 24 hours by both Conroe PD and Steven McKay. So having to wait 5 hours before being allowed to come due to him having a meeting was illegal as well. Contacting Conroe PD and my attorney first thing tomorrow morning. I also noticed a response from this company to another review on google where they stated Conroe PD sets a $200 tow price and that shouldn't raise before 24 hrs. My mother was quoted over $200 just hours after her car was impounded.
