We were told one thing and then faced excessive fees just to retrieve our vehicle, with policies that felt designed to make the process as difficult as possible. The lack of clear explanations and the overall attitude we encountered came across as apathetic, dismissive, and interruptive. We ultimately had to arrange our own tow, and even the experienced tow driver who picked up our vehicle mentioned that this company has a poor local reputation. That alone speaks volumes. I left feeling stressed, frustrated, and disgusted by how this situation was handled. Based on my personal experience, I would not return and strongly recommend others be cautious.

Nickolich Towing is the absolute worst company I have dealt with. After a recent accident, they…read moretowed my vehicle to their location. When my insurance company tried to schedule the release of my vehicle, Nickolich would not release it unless the bill was paid in CASH (the total was $533 - this was for a tow & 2.5 days in their tow yard). btw...I am from out of state, so there was no way I could have even dropped off CASH. They stated that the only way they could accept payment by check is if they had worked a lot with my insurance company (a national company, btw), since they have not, it is CASH only. The funny thing about this though is that Nickolich was willing to pick up a check from my Adjustor, but they didn't know him from Adam. After a bunch of run around with Nickolich, my insurance company contacted another tow company in the area, that actually agreed to pay Nickolich to release my vehicle & they would bill my insurance company. Thank goodness for Hamilton Towing for doing this...they were so friendly & such a blessing! To wrap up, my adjuster even stated that Nickolich was a bunch of crooks. There is definitely something shady going on there. Avoid them at all costs (and trust me...they are quite the cost). They really made a difficult situation, even worse...they are NOT for their customers...they are only about the money.

Two weeks ago I had the unfortunate experience of hitting a patch of black ice while traveling from Mississippi to West Newton, PA. We were coming into Belle Vernon late in the evening when the accident happened. I told the local PD to just do whatever they needed to do to get the car out of the road and secure. John with Bujanowski was dispatched, and within 15 minutes he was on scene with us. His first words were "are you ok?". There was no mention of money, payment, or anything. Just assurance that he would take care of us, get us situated for the night and out of the cold, and we could handle everything the next day. He even offered us a ride to our hotel for the night - we declined - only because the amazing officer from Washington Township PD had already made arrangements to give us a lift there. The next day, I had the pleasure of working with Sara in the office. Our vehicle was slam full of our tools and other belongings. My immediate fear was that we would not be able to recover our stuff post-accident. Sara assured us that would not be an issue, and once we got a few things handled to prove our ownership of the vehicle, she even assisted us in cleaning everything out and moving into our rental car. This is a fantastic family-owned and operated business. I cannot recommend them enough for their kindness, compassion, and assistance to a stranger from 900 miles away.
