This is a gorgeous forest in the Endless Mountains region. We came to the area to visit Worlds End State Park, which lies inside of it, and moved between the two checking out some of the wonderful sights! One neat feature is the High Knob Overlook, which allows you to look out over 80% of the forest, according to the signage available at the top, from 2,047 feet up. The views were stunning. It's accessible via a hike or by driving - there is a nice-sized parking lot available on top. We were also fortunate to have a storm move in while we were there, and it was really fascinating to watch. We also drove by Dry Run Falls, which you can pull over and see from your car, though we did stop and get out to enjoy it. There are nearby picnic tables too. Loyalsock State Forest is well worth a visit! read more
