Ahlee Bear received her certificate of completion in training program.

We have a brand new dog because of David's awesome training program. Not only does David train your dog but he also trains you so you can learn the skills to apply the training that was taught and learned to good use for the rest of your dogs life. I can go on walks with my dog and actually enjoy the walks with out her pulling me or wanting to jump on every person she sees and I can check the mail with the mailman there with no problems. My dog is much more attentive and smart and is very happy. I know with the training from David I will have a long lasting relationship with my dog. We are happy we chose David to train our dog and we would highly recommend him to all dog owners needing a normal life with their furever friend. We definitely got our monies worth and more. Thank you David and Kathy.

David is honest, experienced, reliable and a breath of fresh air! He gave our home hope and peace! It was just what we needed at this moment of our lives! Don't hesitate to contact him. He has an amazing heart for dogs and and most importantly people! Thank you for your service and for shedding light on our home. If I could give him 10 stars on here I would. Thank you so much!

We were skeptical on training for our german shepherd as she was a rescue and a bit wild. Loyal K-9 did an excellent job of informing us of what to realistically expect. The communication was great from start to finish. After three weeks of training our girl is amazing on leash and a pleasure to take out in public with no worries, no pulling and a full change in discipline and personal demeanor. I would fully recommend Dave and loyal k-9 to anyone looking for a quality dog training program. I can not express enough how pleased we are with our pups obedience level after completing her initial training.

Luna graduated her 3 Week Training!

We were thoroughly pleased with our experience with David from beginning to end. He was very prompt in his responses when we were first inquiring and was very flexible & accommodating to our availability. We got scheduled fairly quickly for the in home evaluation and felt comfortable right away upon meeting him and his wife. They were very familiar with our breed, Belgian Malinois, and knew all the common problem behaviors we were experiencing. We were offered the 3 week basic lease obedience training for a reasonable price. We also wanted to coordinate the training with the dates our landscaper would be working on our backyard and David was totally understanding and helpful with this. We enjoyed a nice 3 week break from our crazy pup and when we picked her up she was a totally different dog!! Much more obedient and calm. It's important to listen to David's advice following the training, as he said to immediately practice the commands right when getting home. We could tell that our dog Luna was trying to go right back to her old ways when we arrived home until she realized that we were going to continue the same expectations David had with her. We could tell in her face, it was like a lightbulb went off!! Lol And she knew not to mess around anymore. Unfortunately, we had to cancel our follow up session due to an unexpected hand injury, but we have continued watching the videos and practicing for maintenance of the skills learned. What David really helped us with was what WE needed to fix. We needed to be more of an authority and work on our commanding voice to really earn our dog's respect. It's really been a huge turn-a-round since David's services. We are so thankful! Just bummed that he will be leaving the area and we won't be able to have additional trainings with him.

My Trained Siberian husky thanks David

Dear Yelpers, I was not given a discount to write this review, this is a 100% honest review of David/loyal k9 and my experience. I hired David to train my full breed 2 year old Siberian Husky named "Tigre". David came over to meet us for an evaluation, after meeting up with David I agreed on a 3 week training program which included boarding. We finalized the contract and set a date. I was a bit worried at that moment because my dog had separation anxiety which David pointed out during the evaluation. When the day to check in Tigre came I met David at his house(which is where Tigre stayed/trained). It took about 30 minutes to check in, David showed me around. I felt good leaving my dog behind after seeing David's set up. I did notice David has lots of cameras, even a portable monitor he takes with him to bed. Another important detail was that this is David's full time job, so he won't get home after work to your dog somehow stuck somewhere or worse! He is always around keeping an eye on things, which is awesome. Another detail was David mentioned my dog was more comfortable(less barking) in the garage. When we picked up tigre we stayed in the living room while David went threw the routine. Another fact to point out is that David is an AKC evaluator, which i took advantage of and certified my dog as a Canine Good Citizen® (CGC) , & Urban CGC. I am also currently working with David to acquire Advanced CGC; The "CGCA" Title which is the top of the cgc titles. As far as training my stubborn Siberian Husky everything included in the 3 week program was dominated by David himself. My dog came back better then ever, he doesn't pull any more and understands all the commands David taught him. I would highly recommend David/loyal k9. Remember that the dog is not the only student training in this scenario the human will require training as well when David returns your dog. Oh almost forget to mention I didn't even pay to get my dog washed, David did a complimentary bath for tigre. He came back smelling amazing. Thanks David, Juan, Jazmine, & Tigre

The Tasmanian devil I adopted from the animal shelter transformed into this beautiful angel after David's training.

We adopted our German Shepherd mix Tango from the animal shelter. She had obviously been abused as she was severely underweight when she got picked up by animal control. She was extremely neurotic, pull on her leash, hard to housetrain, aggressive with other dogs/people, etc (super long list of problems). I found David here on Yelp and signed up for the three week course after the evaluation. It was the best thing I ever did for Tango! When I got her back she was so happy and has been the perfect dog since! She is 100% house trained now, goes to the dog park 4x a week and LOVES other dogs, NEVER pulls on her leash, waits for permission to go through doors. She is a completely different dog and it's fun to go outside and practice all the things she learned with David. Tango is a happy confident dog now and I owe David the world! Will be back for boarding and more training asap!

Dave is awesome! Just to start off, I found him on Yelp and decided on him because of his reviews. I called him literally from the shelter because I knew no matter what I'd want my dog to have some basic obedience and he was all for it. We started off with an in home evaluation (I'm in Lake Elsinore) so he even came all the way here (big plus!) and he met Samson, my pit mix. Curveball: my dog was super sick and lethargic - he advised me to take him to the vet - I decided to still sign up but wait til he was cleared to start. Dave was patient even with all that mess. Fast fwd: Samson goes for the 3 week on leash 6ft and 30ft leash board and train camp. (I was going to do 2 week but it's more bang for your buck as he would say for the 3 week). So for those that don't know you drop your dog off for the 2/3 weeks and then come back to learn and practice all things your dog was taught at the end of the program. It's absolutely worth it for the convenience and ease to be honest, especially if you don't have the time or knowledge to work on all of it every day with your dog. I was glooowing with pride the day I came to get him and was hiding inside watching him cycle through everything he had learned. My crazy little hyper pit who just wants to jump all over you and nuzzle your legs was a whole another dog and actually listening! :) It was harder than I thought for ME to get down the stuff I had to do with him like stepping off the right foot or uh, walking backwards.. But we're getting there! The program also came with an in home follow up visit which was super helpful for cleaning up some things and other advice. I highly recommend setting up an evaluation with Dave. Other side notes: I looked through yelp/sites and gave a few calls for board and train options and was blown away (not in a good way) by prices. Daves was definitely more reasonable, if not the most. Personally, I don't need Samson to have acres of land and all these extra overhead causing perks for training - I just needed him to be well taken care of (safe, fed, walked, bathed) and well trained. Both of which he was. Also, Daves experience in military k9 training is top notch which is a huge plus. I'll definitely be coming back for some off leash training next. Thanks Dave!

Do you train older dogs (7+years)?

Depends on what you are requesting

My 14 week old husky started showing signs of food aggression and resource guarding towards other dogs like going after their bones and snapping at them when being given the treats. How much would consultation & training be to fix this?

Really odd a dog that young is showing aggression already. But to answer your question, I rather educate you on the help you will need. Based on your post, You do not need a dog trainer, you need a dog behaviorist. teaching your dog to sit will not… Read more

Do you do board and training? How long is your program if you do board and training?

I have a two week program and a three week program. All videos and information in more detail can be found at www.loyalk-9.com. Yes we are only board and training.

Do you provide service dog training for puppies?

What service and how old is the puppy?

Are dogs of all ages welcome? I got a new puppy today, she will be three months old. I'm not too sure if she's too young? Update: It is for Basic Obedience Training

I am not sure if your question? What is it you want to do specifically with your 3 month old dog?

Question. Do you have to leave your dog or are there alternative options? Thank you

Answer- leave your dog. We are a boarding and training facility only now as we feel private or group lessons were not working out as the client would cancel lessons, show up late or not follow through with their homework assignments for the weekly… Read more

Brandon was incredibly knowledgeable, patient, and kind as he worked with my Goldendoodle Max. I was amazed at how well Max behaved after the first day! Max has continued to improve with listening to commands even with distractions (people, dogs, cars). Before this program I was stressed to take Max, or the bucking bronco, outside the home. It was embarrassing as he wouldn't listen to me, pulled on his leash, barked, jumped on visitors and was too friendly/excited around other dogs. I had worked with him since he was a puppy...he knew his basic commands...he just wouldn't listen. It was really frustrating! I love our Max but we needed help! Max is now a superstar Doodle! I take him everywhere without any stress or anxiety! Brandon has equipped me with knowledge, confidence, and tools to help Max be the best dog! The coolest part is Max is happier and more confident as with me, he is equipped with awesome skills and understands what I am communicating to him. His focus is on me and not the squirrels/distractions. Thanks Brandon!!!! If you are dealing with a bucking bronco fur baby, don't wait. Do it, make the call!!!! Brody loves people and other dogs, so he would get so excited when they were around that it was hard to control him. I always assumed his behavior was because he was young but I knew something had to change when he got kicked out of doggy daycare for taking an employees gardening glove and swallowing it. That's when I found Sit Means Sit. It was very easy to get information on the website. I just typed in my name and phone number and a little summary about Brody and Brandon, the trainer, called me the next day. We spoke about all the different packages they offered, prices, and what the training includes. He helped us pick the training program that would help Brody the most so we signed right up. I scheduled our first training session pretty quickly (I think I was able to get in about a week after signing up). Brandon is the nicest, most knowledgeable dog trainer I've ever met. Brody was always so excited to see him! We started our first lesson and not even 20 minutes in, my crazy 90 pound lab was no longer pulling on the leash. The next session, we took him to more public places, like Home Depot and Petco. This is where I was most amazed. Brandon taught Brody to sit in one of the aisles alone and wait for us to call him to move. We walked away from him, many people/pets passed right by Brody, and Brody did exactly what he was supposed too. It was such a big difference from the wild Brody that would have pulled me all over the store, jumping on people and trying to wrestle with all the other dogs there. What's especially nice about the training sessions is the involvement you will have in the training too. Brandon shows you exactly what you need to do/practice with to keep up the new skills. We met a total of three times for training and Brody has been a great dog since. Another awesome thing about training is that depending on the package you get, you and your dog can do free group lessons! Brody is also so good off his leash. I used to worry about taking Brody to open parks to play ball off the leash but now that's our favorite thing to do together! If your dog needs training, Brandon (and anyone else) at Sit Means Sit is perfect for it! I can't wait for group lessons to start! Thanks again Brandon and the Sit Means Sit team!
