This fun place is in the old Chillax building. We went there on a Sunday with another couple, and…read morewe stayed all afternoon. They had some great drink specials and we tried quite a few. We shared appetizers and enjoyed the music. The waitstaff and barstaff were extremely friendly, as were the other patrons. We will be back during a time when they have live music, because I'm sure that is a lot of fun.

Spouse and I stopped in one night for the first time after we finished a murder mystery event…read morethinking we could get some late night bar food and a drink or two. We got seated at a tiny table right by the door which was very drafty. After getting menus, we were told they could only make us pizza (pepperoni or cheese) and maybe 1 or 2 types of finger foods. It was somewhere between 9-9:30pm so it seemed early in our opinion for the kitchen to be closed already on a Friday night, but nothing we could do to change it. If I recall the appetizer options were mozzarella sticks or toasted ravioli, but not 100% certain on that part cause it didn't appeal to us. We ordered the cheese pizza since I don't eat pork products. It was very thin with a cardboard like crust that was overly cooked on the edges (see pic with brunt crust), but the middle part was full of gooey cheese. The balance on the pizza was just off since it was overcooked on outer edges. We were starving and our options were slim so we ate it anyways. Lol The waitress offered us some complimentary popcorn from a machine in the back of the bar and then went over the speciality drink menu they had which was probably the best part of our entire experience. They do have some very eccentric libations to choose from. I chose the lavender martini (very tasty) and my spouse got a blackberry old fashioned which he also loved. The ambiance is just okay if singing karaoke completely off key with country folks is your thing. They do have some televisions for sports viewing, but this is not what I would call a "speak easy" or a sports bar. We love doing karaoke, but the vibe at this place just wasn't working for us. Overall, I would say the drink menu is what's keeping this place afloat unless people don't care about the food they eat or the company they surround themselves with. Would try again, but with a larger group of people ready to take over the karaoke scene in full force and during earlier hours so we can attempt to get some bar food too other than pizza. Also, we were coming from the murder mystery event so we were dressed up more than anyone else in the place and we felt like outsiders. This is definitely a Jean and T-shirt kind of establishment.

I gotta say, this brewery does has super friendly staff. While we were visiting met another Brewer…read morethat was getting ready to open his own brewery. The selection of beer was pretty big and covered a large variety of beer. They even have distill spirits as well. So no matter what you're in the mood for, they will have it covered. The location is just off the highway and fairly secluded. Sitting inside looking out the windows you see plenty of trees. Many choices for sipping on your beverages there including a loft.

Hundreds of Hops US Hop Passport Amazing Brewery Race Stop 31/32 (2 & 3 of 18 for Missouri)…read more We stopped in closer to close than we would have liked, arriving right at last call & an announcement that the kitchen was closed. Traveling almost 2k miles, we'll cut ourselves some slack on the timing. We whipped out the big book & we were advised the other location was closed, so, we could fill both stamps here... that's a bump up on service. The building was huge & we expected impersonal interactions because of that... we were wrong. The gal working was incredibly friendly- as was her husband & the owner of another brewery soon to open that she introduced us to & his friend... so was the couple at the end of the bar. You get the point, there was a great group! I got the Hot Box Cornbread and found it to be a good choice. It suited the weather and there were subtle hints of corn (bread?) & jalapeños. It wasn't overwhelming and went down easily. Obviously, with a closed kitchen, we didn't try any food. We also didn't make it to the distilled spirits, meaning, we gotta do it again!

Stopped in for a Friday lunch with some buddies to kick off an Innsbrook cabin trip. Located just…read moreoff the freeway in a large shopping center with plenty of easy parking, this turned out to be a great, low-stress meeting point. The Atmosphere: Quiet Noon, Busy Nights? At 12:00 PM on a Friday, the place was very quiet, giving it a relaxed "waiting for the weekend" vibe. However, you can tell this spot transforms in the evening. It's essentially an adult playground: * Indoor Games: A massive setup for bags/cornhole that looks like a blast for groups. * Live Music: They have a stage and a layout clearly designed for local acts and game-day energy. * The Vibe: Clean and spacious--definitely a solid option for a mid-trip regroup or a late-night hangout. Service & The Whiskey Mystery Our bartender doubled as our server and was excellent--attentive, quick, and helpful with menu navigation. One odd note for the bourbon fans: when I asked for Kentucky whiskey, I was told they didn't have any. Moments later, my friend ordered a Maker's Mark without issue. It seems the whiskey knowledge behind the bar might be a bit hit-or-miss, so if you don't see your favorite on the back bar (which features staples like Jack and Jameson), it's worth a specific ask! The Food: Go for the Catfish The menu is straightforward bar fare, but the Catfish is the absolute standout. * Catfish Fillet Platter (4/5): Two generous, fresh, and piping-hot fillets. These are clearly not your standard pre-frozen fare. The fish was flaky and well-prepared--easily a 4.5/5 on its own. * The Sides: The platter comes with tater tots, hush puppies, and coleslaw. While the slaw was tasty (on the sweeter side), the hush puppies and slaw didn't feel homemade. The tartar sauce comes in plastic packets and is fairly tasteless--I'd recommend adding some hot sauce to give it a kick. * Pro Tip: One friend had the catfish sandwich and really enjoyed it. Another had the catfish nuggets, which seemed a bit small if you aren't getting the full side spread, so I definitely recommend sticking with the Fillet Platter for the best value. Tip: If you're looking for a quick, easy-access lunch spot near Wentzville with surprisingly good fish, this is it. Just be prepared to "self-identify" the bourbon!

Cigarettes & Wise Vibes...First time visiting the sign on the entrance read "After 8pm...Only 21…read moreand older", we arrived at 7:55pm, right before 8 o'clock and I asked if it was okay since we had our 15-year-old son with us, and the young lady said it was okay as long as we didn't cause any trouble. We sat down order, waited and got up and out. The food was good, and the service was great. I probably wouldn't go back only because the vibe was an old group vibe and reeked of cigarettes, and I hate the smell of cigarettes and smoke.
