A Canine Grooming Retreat in the heart of the Samford Valley - need I say more…read more.. These girls that run this salon are really lovely, and although I have never taken my dog here for a haircut/bath I have bought her some lovely threads here. The merchandise is a little pricey but I guess you expect to pay higher prices for novelty items. They offer weekend hydrobaths and regular specials. They don't have a website but you can find them on FB. The salon is really pretty - a Balinese retreat in the middle of a lush rainforest.

After having some rather bad experiences with other boarding kennels, I stumbled upon Fido's. While…read morethey don't look overly fancy, Robert and Cheryl are great hosts and genuinely care for your fur kids. My dog was always reluctant to go away to a kennel, but since finding Fido's she's always been quite happy to go, she even runs up to Robert and Cheryl with a waggy tail! The dogs are kept in reasonable sized "rooms" and are let out to run around once (or maybe twice?) a day. If you have multiple dogs, you can have them share a room for a slightly cheaper rate. Their rates are pretty reasonable too. The cats stay in a different building, and also have their own little rooms to stay in. Fido's is open twice a day for drop offs and pick ups: 9-10am and 4-5pm.

When I have a grey area, I take a practical look at my dog's problem and persevere for a while. Any problem I come across that I do not have any idea how to help my dog, I do not hesitate to visit West Vets. Thankyou West Vets for looking after my "Dogs" Charlee nearly 13 years old and Tassie nearly 9 years old. I must admit - they have been having the necessary yearly injections all of their lives for heart worm and parvo virus and their monthly intake of nexgard for ticks etc. Yours faithfully Ann Wrigley 0409 753391

I have been a regular, local customer for a couple of years and spent thousands here. I brought my…read moredog in with a paralysis tick on Friday night, informing the vet on duty that I wouldn't have enough to pay the full bill until Monday afternoon, as sufficient funds could only be transferred until this time. He assured me it would be OK and I could arrange an alternative payment to settle the remainder of the bill which, as usual, was exhorbitant. Arrived to pick up our beloved pet on Sunday, and was told they couldn't process the alternative payment until Monday/Tuesday, even though I offered to pay for most of the bill right then and there. I wasn't allowed to pick up my dog because of the 'paid in full' policy, so was sent packing and advised that I would need to pay $160 each night that he had to stay until I could pay the bill in full. The dog, and my kids, who had been briefly reunited after his 2-day visit were devastated. They say something about 'compassion and value' as part of their values but they are a money hungry, heartless organisation who don't care about the customer or the pet.
