You may see some negative remarks, if you can, simply disregard. This is my Hometown Store and I feel so lucky that it is here. Are some items higher than another larger store, well sure they are, smaller chains don't have the buying power that the big boys have. I can go by my list and I bet if I don't buy any of the shiney things that catch my eye or jump into my cart, it ends up being not that much more AND I didn't have to drive, didn't have to fight traffic, search for a parking spot then do it all over. If you move to Blanco and can't handle it, just think it is a small trade off in order to live in beautiful Blanco. I do get to see my friends and neighbors that work there, I can ask if they have "X" in the back and they will go look. They give so much back to Blanco, I am proud they are here. A small, small town grocer. I miss HEB! This place has some prime real estate- right along the highway through town, across from Blanco State Park. This place has it all- since it's the only grocer in town. They have a small produce section with attractively priced celery. People come from all around to shop their celery. I did manage to get lots of ice and blueberry muffins, which was nice. There was plenty of parking when I went, and the staff was pleasant. The aisles were kind of cramped with their carts, and the place seemed not as well lit as some other grocers I usually shop at. Their own private brand was delicious and I felt like I got a pretty good run for my money here. Lowe's seems to be in all the towns that HEB isn't in. read more

I love this Lowe's market. The prices are fair and the vegetables are always fresh and grown in Texas. They have a little bit of everything and I even like that there's Phillips 66 gas in the parking lot. It's kind of similar to a Dollar general store with fresh vegetables. It's kind of nice that there is an Ace hardware nextdoor for all the hardware items and gardening items that you might need. It's kind of nice to have that small town grocery store feel that we all grew up with. read more

This store has seen better days. Upon walking in I was immediately put off by the odor in the store. I was looking for just basics but found the store so unappealing that I walked out empty handed. The entire store looks like it's never been updated. Please remodel! read more

For a small town, Blanco does not have an HEB. Was hesitant for a while going here since I didn't know what it would be like and it the prices would be ok. Surprisingly, the prices we not bad, comparable to HEB and Walmart. They carry pretty much everything since it's the only grocery in town. These ladies and gentlemen have been fantastic during the crisis. Beginning in March, they were working non stop to try to keep shelves stocked. The trucks they get have enough for our little store, enough for a small population. I saw people coming in and scooping up whatever they could, the townspeople were just SOL. And they were rude and griping about the store the whole time. It was unbelievable. They are some of some of the unsung heroes, at least in my book. I live in Blanco and shop there on a regular basis. The larger stores may have more variety, but they have more tempting things I don't NEED to buy, between that and gas...I save money at my local store. read more

If I could give this store zero stars I would. We recently moved nearby and I stopped in to see what it was like. The first thing I noticed was the garbage and cigarette butts right outside the entryway door. When I went in I was assaulted by the horrible smell of burnt rubber or something similar that was so bad I wanted to leave. After I saw the condition of the store right up front I did. There were places where the walls were chipped away and filthy with what looked like years of accumulated dirt or mold. Honestly, my first impression was it was the most filthy looking, rundown grocery store I have ever seen and Ive shopped in a LOT of small town stores. I won't go back even though I'll have to drive 20 miles to the HEB instead. Please take more pride in the cleanliness and appearance of your store and I might give it another chance. read more

Very rude "Senior" cashier who was training new cashier. All I needed was change for a ten dollar bill to purchase water from the Glacier dispenser outside. Courtesy desk person did not look up to help me as I stood there so I moved on to the line and waited patiently as that cashier trained a new cashier how to ring up a few discounted items. Once done, I asked if I could have change. The "Senior" quipped " You have to go to the courtesy desk, we can't open the cash drawers". I explained I had gone there but no one acknowledged me. So I walk back over, the person then comes to help and the Senior goes over to her and gives her her laminated card to swipe to open the cash drawer. I asked the courtesy desk person if "Senior" has to do that to the other cashier drawers as well. She said, yes. Geez! It's not like I've never shopped at Lowe's. I'm a good customer. Why is it so easy to be rude? She just didn't want to help. If she had said, they were short on change I would have understood. But this was just an obvious act of rudeness. There are nice people at Lowe's...the "Senior" Cashier there is not one of them. read more

This is an expansive grocery store complete with special sales and all food items. We got celery for only 39 cents, hot coco, ranch dressing, and saw that every aisle was well stocked! We'll happily come back . read more

Terrible place...terrible people. We went to Lowe's today. This is during the snow storm and rolling blackouts. We have cash in hand. Store management lets a group of people go in right in front of us and then shuts the door in our face. 5 minutes later they come to the door and let a man out with groceries and beer in hand. We ask if we can go in with cash. They say (very unapologetically) "no...we're restocking"...there are at least 10 people standing out in the cold waiting to get anything they can for their families and they turned their backs. Truly shameful people. I live in Blanco and will go out of my way to never shop there again. I would leave zero stars if I could read more

If you need a last minute produce item this is the only place in Blanco; however, expect to pay double the price or more for everything in here. They definitely take advantage of the fact that there aren't many other grocers near by. I would recommend either going to the Dollar General next door or driving about 15 miles down the road to the Super/Regular HEB in Bulverde, Dripping Springs, or Wimberly. If you need meat, go to the local meat market in town. That being said, I have been absolutely shocked at the customer service.The woman in this particular review is named "Dee-Dee." Around Christmas, I left something very valuable in the store. My children subscribe to a wonderful and educational children's culinary kit and one of the December kits included their favorite recipe on a large, colorful, laminated recipe card with not only ingredients but step-by-step instructions for: Gingerbread Cookies and Homemade Frosting! I've found no other comparable recipe and it's our family tradition to makes these together each year! I told customer service the very day I lost it and no one at Customer Service was even willing to walk over to go look in the checkout line I was in. I finally just asked them for a pen and paper and I wrote down my name and number and I asked them to please hold on to it in case it showed up and call and let me know if it did. About a week later, I get a voicemail from Dee-Dee and she says she found it and left it at aisle 3. I was thrilled! I went up there the very next day and no one could find where she had put it. They told me to try back another time but weren't sure when she'd be back. I must have gone up there 10-15 more times over the next few weeks and no one knew where she had put it and to give them credit, they looked everywhere. I'm not sure why she didn't just leave it in an obvious place where anyone who worked there could see it especially since I had called back and I had been coming to pick it up. I was honestly a little confused as to why she hid it and where she hid it. I asked one of the other women if this Dee-Dee could perhaps leave it in a place the other customer service workers could see it or at least explain to them in more detail where it is. They let me know when her next couple work days would be. My husband went in this morning and was finally able to meet Dee-Dee. She was at one of the checkout counters. When he asked about the recipe card, he was not expecting her reaction. She got very sassy and angry with him for asking her. She literally shouted at him (which embarrassed him in front of other customers): "IT'S GONE!!! WE CALLED HER THE DAY OF WHEN SHE INQUIRED ABOUT IT! SHE NEVER CAME TO GET IT! IT SAT HERE FER THE LONGEST TIME AND I CAN'T FIND IT NO MORE!" First of all, she did not call the day of. Second of all, I did go up there every day that next week and once a week after. Third, I had about 5 different other people in that store look for it in exactly the place she supposedly put it and they never could find it either. She lied, and if I were her manager, I would talk to her about her actions. An apology would be nice. read more

The prices here are ridiculous. I asked the cashier how much the wood was outside and she said it was $7.95 but you got 7-8 pieces. I paid for it, went outside and there were 3-4 sticks in each one. I took it back inside and she said that was the only stuff they had. I should have asked for my money back. I guess this is what happens when it is the only store in town. read more

Small town market for the things you run out of. I would not recommend big shopping there, very expensive.
