You may see some negative remarks, if you can, simply disregard. This is my Hometown Store and I feel so lucky that it is here. Are some items higher than another larger store, well sure they are, smaller chains don't have the buying power that the big boys have. I can go by my list and I bet if I don't buy any of the shiney things that catch my eye or jump into my cart, it ends up being not that much more AND I didn't have to drive, didn't have to fight traffic, search for a parking spot then do it all over. If you move to Blanco and can't handle it, just think it is a small trade off in order to live in beautiful Blanco. I do get to see my friends and neighbors that work there, I can ask if they have "X" in the back and they will go look. They give so much back to Blanco, I am proud they are here. Polish floors all the time, upgrading shelves and coolers...THIS IS MY LOWES "SUPER S". Thank you for being here.

I love this Lowe's market. The prices are fair and the vegetables are always fresh and grown in Texas. They have a little bit of everything and I even like that there's Phillips 66 gas in the parking lot. It's kind of similar to a Dollar general store with fresh vegetables. It's kind of nice that there is an Ace hardware nextdoor for all the hardware items and gardening items that you might need. It's kind of nice to have that small town grocery store feel that we all grew up with.

For a small town, Blanco does not have an HEB. Was hesitant for a while going here since I didn't know what it would be like and it the prices would be ok. Surprisingly, the prices we not bad, comparable to HEB and Walmart. They carry pretty much everything since it's the only grocery in town. Cool thing was that they also carry camping supplies/needs.

    Gross!

If I could give this store zero stars I would. We recently moved nearby and I stopped in to see what it was like. The first thing I noticed was the garbage and cigarette butts right outside the entryway door. When I went in I was assaulted by the horrible smell of burnt rubber or something similar that was so bad I wanted to leave. After I saw the condition of the store right up front I did. There were places where the walls were chipped away and filthy with what looked like years of accumulated dirt or mold. Honestly, my first impression was it was the most filthy looking, rundown grocery store I have ever seen and Ive shopped in a LOT of small town stores. I won't go back even though I'll have to drive 20 miles to the HEB instead. Please take more pride in the cleanliness and appearance of your store and I might give it another chance.

    Aisles of food.

Great service, cashier was an absolute peach. The horrendous stench in the produce area was hard to stomach.

Small town market for the things you run out of. I would not recommend big shopping there, very expensive.

About a week ago, my son hit his head hard at the register and immediately began crying. As any parent would, my focus shifted entirely to comforting him. What stood out--and not in a good way--was the cashier's response. I noticed her exchange a look with the bagger that came across as annoyance and even threw in an eye roll. She didn't say a single word to check if my son was okay. There was no acknowledgment, no concern--just silence the entire check out process. To make matters more uncomfortable, my son happened to be holding a fidget spinner that he brought from home, and there seemed to be an assumption that he was attempting to walk off without paying for it. The lack of empathy felt disheartening. I understand that not everyone naturally responds with warmth, and of course, my child is not theirs. She was a young girl. Still, basic human kindness goes a long way. A simple "Is he okay?" would have made a meaningful difference, Even "hey here's some bravo bucks" I left as quickly as I could to care for my son, but looking back, I do wish I had taken a moment to speak with a manager.

An amazing older local gal tugged a massive collection of catalogs out out for us and helped me find exactly what I wanted, arranged the delivery to the store, offered to help us prep the bouquets, etc. She helped me design them, too, suggesting that I'd appreciate some fronds and other filler that complemented the blooms so well. She special ordered exactly what we wanted, and we paid $100 for it all! Calm, beautiful desert and chaparral flowers. I had a second cousin who worked in the bridal industry for a bit help me wrap bouquets, fix boutonnieres, and arrange all the flowery bits. I'll never forget laughing with my bridal party as we wrapped those flowers the night before. :) My mom ended up deciding the night before that she wanted another $100 in flowers to fill the ceremony room, and found a truly insane quantity in the same flower department at Brookshire's! I wish I could post my wedding portraits here. The store is a bit small for my spoiled Austinite self, but the staff has so much TLC and a handy attitude. :)
