I had a wonderful experience of employee customer service. I was at customer service to get a rain check for ferns at the Wise Va. store. The employee was named Cara, nickname Ratman. she was the only one working customer service and had several in her line. Two elderly ladies were in front of me and were struggling with the bill. Cara waited patiently on these ladies attempting to understand their issue. She tried several options on her computer and was finally able to figure out what was going on. She first thought they needed to call Lowes Credit but recognized they would have difficulty doing that and stating the need. Cara made some calls, got more info from the ladies and straightened it all out. I was impressed. Next while she was waiting on me, she also was waiting on a gentleman who was very impolite. His few words were I need my money back for some items he was returning. She greeted him warmly, as she did me, but he brushed it off. After she gave him his money back she wished him a good day and he never responded. He counted all the returned money in front of her, never saying a word. As he was leaving, she wished him a very good day again, to which he never responded and walked off. To me, I witnessed the best customer service by Cara going above and beyond her position on both ends of the spectrum. She never gave up on servicing the elderly ladies and was most friendly to the gentleman who was rude. By the way, she was excellent with me and meeting my needs. She needs to be recognized by her manager. read more

Bought a stove and paid cash. Had the stove for a week and it messed up. Lowe's would not replace or allow me to return the stove because I paid cash. This is ridiculous service. The stove is cheaply made and I'm very disappointed in the service. read more

Worst "customer service" ever. Everyone I spoke to, top to bottom, acted like doing their job was the biggest burden they've ever faced. These people do not need to be in retail in any fashion. Mike, the "manager" on duty, was probably the worst. Even hung up on me. Everything about this store is honestly kind of funny when you look at it... except as a paying customer, it's pretty ridiculous that people like this somehow still have jobs. I bought a Midea washer and dryer from Lowes of Wise County in March of this year. The dryer will not dry clothes unless you dry them at least three times and now the washer has started throwing water out around the door. I called Lowes and they gave me a number to call for service. I called that number and left a message. They called me back a week later and told me they would issue a warranty repair order. After four more phone calls to them, my dryer is still not fixed. I called them again today and the person who answered the phone was speaking jibberish and then hung up on me. My advice, DO NOT BUY A MIDEA APPLIANCE FROM ANYONE. read more

Does anyone even work here?! I've been calling for DAYS. A girl in customer service finally picks up and transfers me before I even finish my sentence. No one in flooring answers. I call back to customer service, she hangs up on me. I call back again and pick the Pro desk extension to hopefully get in contact with someone. I do and they transfer me again to no one. Little upset have been waiting at the return desk while 3 employees work on special orders, pro desk stuff, and everything other than returns. Going on 10 minutes now and person in front of me was here several minutes before me. None of the employees have even bothered to acknowledge either of us. Ridiculous at anytime of course but the store is nearly empty on a Tuesday in the middle of the day. read more

We have two small bedrooms that we ordered hardwood floors to be put in.First day the guys got half of one room done in 5 1/2hrs.Then told me they had to leave cause their Dad needed the compressor?OK..Second day they continued on the same room all of a sudden one of the installers tells me he broken the head of his hammer off into my air duct on the floor where my air conditioning comes through.Ofcorse he had no way of fishing it out and surprise!! didn't have another to continue the work.So he drove an hour to Lowe's to get a hammer and nails for his gun.By the time they got back it was very late so couldn't continue ...Third day was a Saturday oh and this was on the fourth of july weeked mind you.So they come back to finish the first room..THE FIRST ROOM!! My Husband and I had plans so they had to be out by 5pm.They started at 9am and it took them til 5to complete the flooring in one small bedroom.Ofcorse one of the installers tells me his gun jammed so he couldn't finish the trim in the room..They come back a Fourth day which was Tuesday and was here from 9:30am to 8:30pm just to finish the other small room and put the trim on the other Half way through the second room they tell me there is a piece missing that goes under your door.If they go it will be another two hrs before they get back..so he asked if I would go pick up the piece.. Seriously!!At this point i'm so aggravated at the whole mess I agree I get halfway up and Lowes calls me on the cell and tells me they don't have the piece in my color!!!Grrr..The woman from Lowes proceeds to tell me that I can pick up the piece in another color and that the installers can put it in ..in the meantime until the right color comes in I get there and my Husband calls and tells me that the installers said to Not get the temporary piece that it's better to leave it off.SO WHY DID I DRIVE AN HOUR? Apparently to complain...you know what Lowe's did. They gave me 263.47 off of my floors..like that compensates for all the bull crap that their contractors put me and my Husband trough..Oh and when I finally got back home and these installers finally finished the job and leave.I go into the room and go to shut the closets and guess what?They completely put the closets on wrong!!!My goodness could you atleast check that you put them on correctly?!!! So now I must wait another week for that small piece to come in and the installer to come back Just to put it in place.Oh and they left a bunch of boards out in my front yard.. I still need my master bedroom done but NEVER AGAIN will I go through Lowes for that,and I certainly wouldn't recommend you go trough what we went through Terrible Unpredictable Unprofessional read more
