Yep. I'll be finding sand in my car for the next decade.

I usually use HD, but decided to try Lowe's since they had cheap top soil. I placed an order online for a few items to start one of my many landscaping projects. I picked them up curbside, but when I got home, I noticed that one of the bags of sand was busted open. The way it was plastered on the side of my car, higher than where the bag was, means that the associate knew it was busted open and loaded it anyways. There was sand everywhere in my car and will never come out of the cloth seats. I took pictures and sent them to the online rep. He said I needed to return it in store and refused to process the $6 refund. I then called the store and they said they wouldn't refund it without the product. So now I have to load the busted sand bag back up in my car and drive the 30 minutes back to return it. I'm just going to return everything I purchased because that is absolutely ridiculous. Never again.

Stop by today to buy some flowers. Suns coming out I thought it would be a great idea to brighten up our yard with some flowers. They have quite a selection here at the garden center, although I was looking for tulips. It looks like I'm late to the party. Tulips are all gone. Nevertheless, great store to shop come by.

I've been going to this Lowe's at least a year, can't say enough good things about everyone I encounter here. I am always greeted with a smile, and offers to help find things. I got my kitchen designed by Mia in their design department and the results were beyond any dream we envisioned. Mia listened to what we wanted, and made suggestions that also took into consideration the safety of our son who has disabilities. Our kitchen included everything we asked for and more. When the FloForm countertop installers refused to pay for a mistake they made, Lowes stepped up and made it right which was very appreciated. I still can't believe this is our kitchen.

Portland nursery is the best place for anyone with a green thumb or looking to cultivate one!…read moreThey've got a huge selection of plants, and a ton of great staff available to help answer questions. What I especially appreciate at this location is their dedicated information kiosk, there's usually someone there that you can speak to about pretty much anything plant related, they're a great resource to help troubleshoot gardening issues. I also love that Portland nursery hosts different groups like the Oregon Cactus & Succulent Society throughout the year, where you can view & buy plants directly from the cultivator. Portland Nursery is fabulous all around, and I look forward to every trip!

This isn't the place you go for the cheap stuff raised in warmer climates. Second is the service. They have helper booths, and you can throw anything at them and they either can answer or find someone who can answer. Confused about if a plant is the best for a shady spot or sunny spot - they can help. Finally, it's just a wonderful place to walk. Lots of native plants, lots of trees, and the spring selection of tomatoes and veggies is to die for. Yes, it's more expensive. Yes, worth it! And the added bonus is dogs are allowed.

Jamie (sp?) is likely one of the nicest folks around and when I ordered a few items waaaay larger than my tiny little eco-car could haul was supportive in trying to help me get at least part of my order home. When I followed up to request a return for the remaining over-order amount I got to speak with them again and confirmed their super kind human status. This HD is not close to my home (was just the closest to have the item I needed in stock), but if I ever needed to place a curbside order I would absolutely consider traveling the extra distance for the professional and quality customer service

I forgot a paintbrush from across the store and asked the clerk, Debbie, if I could leave my cart to the side for 90 seconds so I could grab a quick brush. That led into a rant about how it was not her job or her responsibility to monitor my cart and it was against store policy rules for me to leave it behind. Let's be clear here... This was a cart full of cardboard boxes that I had not checked out or paid for...I was still shopping, it just happened to be a very heavy carr and cumbersome to push the entire distance of the store, unnecessarily. People like Debbie should not be in customer service. Debbie is unprofessional. Debbie is unkind. Debbie is unhelpful. Debbie makes a terrible cashier monitor. The only apparent skill that she has is babbling with other employees about nothing related to work and making sure she is 100% unproductive while on the clock. The Home Depot would do best not employing people like Debbie. There are many people looking for jobs that would be customer service oriented and helpful to those spending money at their store. People like Debbie are the reason that I will never return to this store. Ridiculous. Debbie alone made my first and only trip to this store a poor experience... A simple and helpful yes would have completely prevented a review as such.
