Service? We have now ordered appliances on two occasions from the Tyler store. The first time regarded a Refrigerator which took the 10 extra days past the delivery date to get our delivery to us. This time yesterday, we were told we would have a high end Microwave to us over the weekend. Today the order was cancelled as we were speaking to customer care. Folks ...they do not care about the customer at this store. I am reluctant to call Ellison, who I worked with before he came to Lowe's, but something needs to be done. Less than a month after installation, the stove completely stopped working. No heat, no functionality--just a cold, useless appliance sitting in the center of their kitchen. My dad, who is proud and never asks for help unless absolutely necessary, has called and reached out to Lowe's multiple times--each time hoping for some kind of support, some kind of compassion, or at the very least, a technician to come take a look. But those calls were met with indifference, long hold times, and empty promises. No one has come. No one has fixed anything. And no one seems to care. So here they are--months later--without a working stove, struggling to prepare meals, and feeling utterly defeated. They only got a few weeks of use from an appliance that cost them hundreds of dollars. For many people, that might be an inconvenience. For them, it's a crisis. This has caused so much stress and frustration, not to mention the emotional toll of feeling unheard and unseen. They trusted Lowe's. I ordered Pella windows from Lowe's for my entire home, and the experience was extremely disappointing from start to finish. My salesperson, Nicholas Jaynes, mishandled the order, and Lowe's delivered incorrect windows. Four of the windows--valued at $4,000--were delayed for ten months, and it took persistent effort on my part to get the company to correct their own mistakes. Throughout this process, customer service was consistently unresponsive and unhelpful. I made numerous calls and spent months trying to get basic information or action. The level of customer service I received cannot be rated low enough. After all of this, Lowe's offered me a small refund only if I agreed to sign a non‑disclosure agreement. I declined. I believe customers deserve to know how this company handles major purchases and long‑term delays, and I am choosing transparency over a token payment. Bought a Frigidaire refrigerator from the Lowe's in Tyler TX. It was delivered May 8th. 8 days later it died. Lowe's doesn't care. They made the sell and that's the only thing they care about. The return policy for a refrigerator is 48 hours. So if it dies after that LOWES won't help you. It's now June 2nd and refrigerator is still broke. Waiting on a new compressor. read more

I'm searching for a new lawn mower in the $3,000-$4,000 range. Tried calling Lowe's in Tyler, Tx, and was on hold for 30 minutes for someone in lawn mowers. I then drove to Lowe's 45 minutes away from my home in Larue, went to the Customer Service counter and they paged for an associate to come to lawn mowers right outside the store. Ordered a Refrigerator almost a month ago, they keep putting the date to be delivered off. When you call, you are left on hold waiting for someone to answer for 45 minutes to a hour, when that person finally answers, as soon as you say you need to talk to someone name Jose in delivery, they just transfer the call then 1 hour later you still have not talked to anyone about anything. Don't interview for a job here. The lackeys they have doing the interviewing will tell you that you got the job. What they don't tell you is that you only passed their screening and that the store manager has to make the final decision. I passed on another job offer because I was assured that I had gotten the job at Lowe's, only to wake up to an email 3 days later saying that I had not been selected. I was trying to fins out about the availability of an item before I went all the way to Tyler. Called their number (903-581-8500), talked to an automated voice machine who redirected my call. I spent 5 minutes waiting for someone to answer. No answer. Finally I hung up. I initially went to the Gun Barrel store looking for the same item and the gentleman (Tim Morrison) was most helpful. He told me that the were out of it but that the Tyler store showed they had 7, gave me the item number (760719) , price and the Tyler phone number to their store. Short, overweight brunette with glasses at the return desk had a horrible attitude and argued with about a return with a snarky attitude. Love their products, but they need a NEW MANAGER who can train their people to actually assist you, answer the phone instead of letting it ring 35 times and then hanging up on you, deliveries made on the day they are scheduled, and assist with loading in the loading dock. DO NOT buy appliances from here unless you have oodles of time to waste! Save yourself time and frustration and go to Best Buy instead! I went in to the Lowe's on South Broadway and purchased an LG dryer on Wednesday, to be delivered Saturday. Saturday came and the delivery guys brought a WASHER instead of a dryer. Ok, mistakes happen, right? Went up to Lowe's to get my refund, and purchase an actual dryer AGAIN. (Which by the way- you have to buy the dryer cord, which for some reason does not come standard on their dryers). Told a second sales guy the mistake, and confirmed that this time he actually charged me a for dryer, NOT a washer. Had to go to customer service to get my temporary Lowe's card (had my ID but not my actual card) and to get the 'washer' refunded. It took 20 mins to make my return and get my temporary Lowe's card number b/c the service counter employee had to call the 800 number. Went to check out, paid, began walking out the door and looked at my paper receipt. THERE WAS AGAIN A 'DRYER' ON THE RECEIPT FOR DELIVERY THE NEXT DAY! I immediately went back to the appliance area (couldn't find the 2nd employee who set this up). Had to wait another 15 mins to speak to a third employee about the situation (he was helping someone else). He was kind enough to go to the back and make sure the actual dryer was in-stock, re-rung me up, and took me to the customer service desk for my refund. I asked that a manager help but he said "I can do this" and started teaching a new employee how to do a refund (?? More wasted time). Began the 3rd purchase, but My card was declined after the refund. The employee at the service desk again had to call the 800 number (even though I had confirmed my identity earlier and had a temporary card), which took 20 minutes. Again declined my transaction. A different service desk person called the 800 number and told them that I had been approved for my transaction 15 mins earlier, but card declined. My husband brought the actual plastic Lowe's card to me in the interim, but the lady on the phone (I think outsourced to India- I couldn't hear her well, reception poor) sent me a link and said I had to have a VIDEO of myself to confirm my identity, and they would review it within 24 hours. (Really?? I have had a Lowe's account for years). By this time, it had been almost 3 hours I had been in that store, wasting my time. I was not about to send a video to this outsourced Lowe's center (as during this time my husband brought the actual card up there). I was angry by this time and told her no, I was done with Lowe's. Apparently, since I had 2 large transactions and returns, my account was locked (the store should have EXCHANGED my purchase, not returned the second time). Went to Best Buy and had no problems- immediate approval, no having to walk from the appliance dept to the front to pay, or customer service to get a temporary card, and NO EXTRA FEE FOR A DRYER CORD. Too many steps/processes to get thru at Lowe's. Save yourself some grief, go to Best Buy, unless you have small items that can be carried to their check out. By the way, the manager at Lowe's named Michelle called me (per my request) and of course, apologized. In no way did she try to make my situation right for their mistakes and wasting 3 hours of my Saturday. Hopefully she fixed whatever problem with ringing up the dryers getting confused with the washers. Also want to note the customer service desk personnel did their best to help; but after the second mistake, they should have called a manager to handle my situation. read more

I remodeled my house in May of 2022 and bought all of my kitchen appliances from Lowes. Biggest mistake I ever made. When I bought the appliances, Lowes sold me extended warranties offered by Assurant. When I started having problems with my freestanding gas range, I called Assurant to schedule a tech. Assurant showed I had no coverage. They requested that I send them photos of my original sales receipt which I promptly did. As a result, they added the gas range to the wrong warranty and removed two of my appliances altogether. For almost a month I tried to work it out with Assurant who just kept asking me for photos of receipts that I'd already sent them. Today I went back to Lowe's since they were the oneS who sold me the warranties. BE WARNED that once Lowes takes your money for the warranties, they offer NO assistance or support for them. I told the "manager" Vinnie at the Tyler, TX location where I bought the appliances that I wanted a refund for the warranties since they were apparently worthless. He told me that since I used my Lowe's card, I couldn't get a refund. He told me I'd just have to take it up with Assurant and then he asked me to leave the store! When I think of the thousands and thousands of dollars I've spent at Lowe's just the past couple years, it makes me sick. I'm calling to cancel my Lowe's card thanks to Vinnie and now that I've left the store, I'll never darken its doorway again. This store is an absolute JOKE! Go to Home Depot or one of the other hardware stores in Tyler and save yourself some trouble. First, the customer service is laughable. The people that currently work there are ignorant, rude, and lazy. The lumber department, guy with glasses and a beard is a know-it-all who doesn't know anything! I asked him to drop a pallet of boards for me because the lumber that was in the bay was trash, and I mean TRASH splits, broken, bowed, etc. He takes it upon himself to tell me that the boards in the bay are fine and he isn't going to drop another pallet until the bay is closer to being empty. The guy who was behind me sat all of his stuff in the floor right there and said he was going to Home Depot because no store can have customer service this bad. I dropped all of my planned purchases as well and left. The Paint Department: Very large Black man with pants halfway down his butt crack, EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. I have been in there, tells me that he can't mix up silver paint for me. (I interrupted his conversation with another worker about football). When I asked why he tells me "we can't mix up silver because it never looks right" and goes back to his conversation. Store Manager: apparently, he cannot operate a telephone because I have left numerous messages asking for a return call, and never once has he called me. I am a small business owner who needs to shop 2-3 times per week for supplies and this store is much closer for me than Home Depot, but it no longer matters! On two occasions in the last month after 15 years of writing checks on virtually a daily (I'm a contractor that does not use credit) basis. Centergy has decided to decline my checks because "don't meet our standards". They did say there are no negative notes in my file but refuse to the file to me. One whole star is way too generous. I ordered new windows in April of 2022. I was told about ten weeks for delivery and installation. No problem. I was driving from Texas to Chicago for my mother's funeral, after 10 hours of driving, I received a voice message that the windows were in and would be delivered the next day. Naturally, I had to call to let them know that I was not available. I had to spend over two hours on the phone, before I got a living person on the phone. Not what you want to do after driving all day, with another long day of driving the next day. The windows were delivered and the installation team came August 8th. The windows were not square. I ordered new plantation shutters to be installed right after the windows (9 windows and one set of patio doors), I got rid of the old blinds, thinking I no longer needed them. The install team had half the old windows out before they realized the new windows were defective. They assured me they would expedite the reorder, so it wouldn't take another ten weeks. It only took three weeks and several phone calls to get Lowes to pick up the defective windows. Fast forward 20 weeks, and several phone calls later. Lowes called to let me know my windows were in, would be delivered and the installation team would contact me. The windows were delivered. Two weeks later the installation team called to let me know that they went to Lowes to get my windows and the store couldn't find them. Ugh! For over twenty two weeks it was like living in a fish bowl. Now it has been over a month since the installation and I'm still waiting for someone to pick up the defective windows. Lowes says it's the installation teams responsibility, and installation says it's Lowes, since they were the defective ones. The install team removed all the trash and original windows and did a great job. I'm thinking of renting a pickup truck from Lowes and using it to return their windows. I wanted to get all new floors for my next project. Any guesses on who I am not doing business with. No offer of a discount. I even at one point set up an appointment as a new customer to get new windows just to get a real person here. I was assured that the manager would call me within 24hours. Nothing but crickets.
