When it was delivered to the basement of my high-rise condo, my plumbers and I opened the box to install it and found it was broken in half. I called Lowe's immediately, expecting them to make it right. Instead, I was told that to exchange or return it, I would need to bring the 300 lb broken vanity back to the nearest Lowe's myself. I explained that I am an older single woman, my car isn't large enough, and the item was delivered damaged through no fault of mine. Their response: "That's not our problem." Because the plumbers were already there with a truck, I panicked and asked them to return it for me. This cost me $450 between their service call and transportation. When I shared my story on Facebook and filed complaints with the Better Business Bureau and Attorney General's consumer protection office, Lowe's called me and offered a $150 gift card for my inconvenience. I declined because I believe this isn't about me being compensated -- it's about Lowe's fixing their policies so other customers aren't treated this way. For contrast: the very next day, Amazon delivered a new vanity to my condo, carried it into my unit, and assured me that if there was any problem at all, they would pick it up the next day and replace it. I went into the 15th and Yale Lowes to purchase vinyl siding for my shop. The sales associate quickly came to greet me and help me select the exact siding I was looking for. He even called over the Manager to make sure that we had selected the correct trim pieces and starter row pieces. I was very pleased with the service that I received. I set up the order for delivery and the delivery process was perfect. They arrived on the day that they were scheduled, and the delivery men were very professional. They even gave me free delivery! I feel like I got a great price on the siding that I selected. I am very happy with my experience with this Lowes store. would definitely recommend them to everyone. read more

The Lowe's at 15th and Yale in Tulsa is Absolutely, positively, the single worst Lowe's in the country. Went in to get five 1x4's cut for bed slats. Had someone called three times to come help with the custom cutting. Finally asked for a manager and the wood was finally cut at exactly an hour waiting in the store. The manager, Emerson, was about as flat affect as you can ever imagine anyone being. It was clear that he was not board-certified in cutting.. service just doesn't get much worse than this. read more

hello! I am still waiting for my refund at the Lowe's on 71st street we had a flooring install done it was a mess, from them coming out to do the measurements to who they got to do the job. No one took care of it that was our first install project in our new home and now they have made it a nightmare I have called in contacted them for my refund to be put back on my Lowe's credit card it don't make any sense. They make it extremely difficult to purchase a door (after they measure it has to be bought in person??) and the manager was so rude and unhelpful. He clearly doesn't understand the etiquette of saying a simple "hello,0 the humanness of saying "I apologize you've been standing here waiting for assistance for 45 minutes" and how to do simple service recovery. I need my head examined to use Lowe's again for an installation. I wanted a LoBoy hot water heater on a stand. I talked to the plumbing guy about the LoBoy, that they had the 9year warranty in stock, not the 12 year. After repeated calls to get the estimate, I finally got it and agreed to the work. Then I was contacted to see if I went by another name, they had two orders with my phone number. I went back to the store to stop the work order and get a refund after all the calls and differing Information from 3 people, I them I didn't trust them to do what I wanted, that on inspecting the bill, there wasn't a stand listed. The Lowe's rep said the stand was like nails, they didn't charge for individual items. He gave me a 20% discount for all the problems I had encountered. AirCo showed up with a standard hot water heater and no stand. I was sick of fighting, so I told them to install it. I will never use their installation services again. After this episode, I am pretty disgusted with many employees talking to each other and ignoring me. The paint department has a button to push for help. I stood there 5 minutes watching 2 employees talk personal business. I used the button and they asked if I needed help. 1 of the employees had looked at me the whole time, while talking to the other employee. In my opinion, employees should suspend personal conversations when a customer approaches them. read more

IF your call is answered, NO one will pick-up once you're transferred to whatever department. No one knows what they're doing. Had to actually drive to the store just to talk to a "manager" about a botched appliance delivery that they have yet to figure out. It's been 6 weeks. Might have to drive back again, just to actually be able to speak to someone. The phone will ring for several minutes, until you hear someone pickup and slam the phone back down to hang up. They completely botched my lawn mower service order AND charged me for it. It started with the curt and cold Customer Service representative who insisted on putting my order under my ex-husband's name and number despite him not having any connection to this mower. I was informed the service company to which Lowe's outsources its equipment repairs would pick up my mower on Monday, call me with an estimate and return the mower the following Monday. Weeks passed with no contact. I called the CS representative to check in. She tries to contact the service company several times to no avail. After several phone calls with her, she gives me their direct line. They never pick up for me either. I then try multiple times to reach the Service manager at Lowe's. I'm transferred, hung up on, disconnected over and over. I leave message after message with him. Over a month later I find out my mower is at Lowe's....NOT because they called me, but because I called them. They had, in fact, called MY EX-HUSBAND even though I'd given MY name and number to multiple employees associated with this order multiple times! I paid $120 initially and an additional $65 upon pick up. I returned home to finally mow my lawn with MY mower (not my neighbor's, who had generously loaned me hers for the past 4 weeks) AND IT WAS NOT REPAIRED! The starter was still broken! For the past two weeks I have called customer service, Anthony and the store manager almost daily AND they fail to return my calls and resolve the issue. I will NEVER shop at Lowe's again. read more

The paint section staff is kind, patient and helpful. I walked in with a color in mind and they spent the 1:1 time with me on a busy Saturday afternoon explaining to me the process and what I needed to execute product blue door. There is a rainbow of every shade of color to find your perfect hue and in various brands, too. My wife and I want to have new floors installed as well as doing a complete remodel of our master bath. On Sunday 9-24-2017 we visited the Lowes at 15th and Yale. Some friends of mine used them and their work looks great. We found a floor we liked then went to look at bathroom vanities. We ended up speaking to an associate named Rick Teague. He was extremely helpful towards us and he could see we already picked out several of the things we wanted. I explained we are getting the floor done first. So since we had a good idea about what we wanted he suggested we make an appt. with a woman named Francis. Because we needed a installation price for the new floor he explained to us that one of their contractors would accompany Francis to get final measurements for the flooring so that we could fianlize and get the ball rolling on it and she would go over different ideas with us so that once the floor is done we can get started on the bathroom. Apparently not! Francis called this evening to confirm our appt. for tomorrow except that while speaking with her she informed me the this was supposed to be an in store appt. She also informed me that she couldn't give me a final price for the flooring as she is just the "Designer" who offers suggestions of different products Lowes sells. She even said we misunderstood. What???? What happened to customer service? We already know what we want so why do we need her? To steer us towards designs that she prefers? We were looking at spending $8000.00 to $10,000.00 for these two projects but Lowes has some training issues to solve before I'll even consider using them in the future. I was looking for a particular Christmas tree, but could not locate the brand. Barron, at the Day St./Moreno Valley store, helped me look and then we realized it was only available online. The store stocked a different brand, same size and similar style, but a little bit out of my price point. Darn! I had a bit of a drive and was kind of disappointed that I would be going home empty handed, but I resigned to go home and order the tree. I didn't go home empty handed! We needed paint to match the color that had been in the house since the year 2000. The color on the sample ( from another store) had been discontinued but we decided to take a chance at the Lowes at 15th and Yale. Al was the person helping us in the paint department and he was excellent in asking all the right questions and making small alterations. We took the paint home and tried it on the paint we were trying to touch up. It was a WOW! A perfect match! So you can see where we buy our paint! read more

The customer service at this location is terrible. I've been in there a few times to purchase items for the home. Each time there has been an issue with using my credit card. They are using a verifone device that for some reason never reads my card. I use this card at all other stores with no issue. Today I waited for ten minutes at the self checkout it have someone come manually enter my card. No one showed so off to a store I know can use my card and give good service! read more

The staff is extremely knowledgeable and helpful even if they don't work in a department they help you or find a coworker who can. Everyone is willing to spend extra time with you telling you how to complete your project and is excited to help you with anything from building a porch to painting or simple task like setting up a garden or lighting. I found that store manager and assistant managers are always there and much like the employees are very helpful. It really seems like everyone at this store really lives help you get your home repaired or teach you how to make it better for you. read more

I had a plumber come to the house and said I needed a new toilet because it stopped flushing all together it wasn't even clogged.Bought a toilet from lowes in October . Didn't last a year and the toilet was jacked up. Was told by the customer service to call the company of the toilet and see if they can send me a toilet .Ig I'm suppose to poop in a bucket. The toilet had a 5 year warranty and I was also told they no longer sell that toilet in store and that even if I was to buy it online they would charge me 65$ to ship it.. All this was from the customer service number then I decided to just call the store and was transferred to some rude smart ass I don't remember his name he was acting dumb if I tell u I want my toilet replaced that's not hard to understand. He said I should come in and see if we could work something out after acting all confused and nonchalant and dull otp. I won't be back nor will I waste my time on a maybe. Lowes was my preferred store to shop for construction/ home improvements! A couple of weeks ago, the lock to my front door froze. I had purchased the Kwickset lock about 6 months earlier from Lowes. Kwickset has a lifetime warrany on their locks. I attempted to return the lock to Lowes at 15th Street and Yale. I was told that I would have to get with Kwickset and have them issue me a new one. I asked for a manager and the associate called for a manager. However, you could tell from the associates facial expressions that the manager really didn't want to handle it and he was told to look for another manager. His last sentence on the phone was "oh ok I think I see her." That manager came to over and asked what she could do for me. I explained the issue with the lock and she cut me short in mid sentence and said you will have to deal with Kwickset but we are calling them for you. I explained at other retailers, they would swap it out and again I was cut short--- "we are calling them for you or you can call them yourself." They called Kwickset and then they put me on the phone with them. After talking with Kwickset at Lowes, Kwickset said they would replace it but they needed to send it to me, that would take 5 business days----THIS IS MY FRONT DOOR WE ARE TALKING ABOUT, not locking my front door a week doesn't sit well with me. I left Lowes and went to Home Depot on 71st. I asked to talk to a manager there. I explained to him that I had purchased this Kwickset lock at Lowes and it froze up. I tried to return it, and they would not swap it out. If I buy a lock from you and have this issue will you swap it out. He asked me if I had the lock with me and I stated that it was in my car. He told me to bring it to him and he would swap it out because Home Depot carries Kwickset and yes it has a lifetime warranty but more importantly, its the right thing to do. I contacted Chris Waller, the District Manager for the Tulsa Area, at Lowes in Broken Arrow a day or 2 later. He said he was disappointed with how the situation was handled but "since I was already taken care of by Home Depot, there really wasn't much he could do for me." He didn't try to offer me a gift card or any incentive to want to shop at Lowes as every other good retail establishment would. I know because I was a Manager at a large warehouse club for many years and that's how we lessened the sting of a bad experience. It gives the customer a reason to give your establishment another chance to have a positive experience. I have shopped at Lowes for a long time and have/had a Lowes credit card but after my conversation with Mr. Waller, I cut up! Really, Lowes.....where do you think I am going to shop from here on, the place that says they have great customer service or the place that actually provides GREAT customer service and proves it by walking the walk!. read more

Don't ever pick Lowe's to install anything you buy. I bought a new bathroom vanity and sink because the old cabinet is falling apart and the old pipes are corroded and broken. I decided to let them install it thinking it would be less hassle, especially since I know nothing about plumbing. Bad mistake! They want you to buy all the parts upfront, when you have no idea what you even need, and then it's wait for a plumber to call to come out and measure, wait for the plumber to tell Lowe's what you need, wait for Lowe's to work up a quote, (they already told me a price!), wait for Lowe's to contact the plumber, wait for the plumber to call to set an appointment...I could have called a plumber myself and had it done 3 times faster and with 3 times less hassle!
