Their installation service is terrible. You pay for a complete service and they tack on hundreds of dollars extra in the middle of the job, to complete it. I'm talking about a simple toilet install at a tenant's house. I will never use Lowe's again for ANYTHING. I will buy everything - EVERTHING - from Home Depot in the future. LOWE'S: Forget you completely and forever. Also, trying to add more charges by phone and want me to sign a contract. There's an app you have to have. That can't accept the signature. Incompetent, expensive, absolutely terrible. read more

A couple days after Hurricane Helene my refrigerator died. I restarted it & the panel was dead, it wouldn't freeze and the fridge was not cool. That often happens with power outages which I had due to the hurricane. Visited two Lowes, two Home Depot's, Best Buy, & Famous Tate. I bought this fridge from Lowes in Carrollwood. I was able to show on the Home Depot app the lesser price which they matched, and bought from here bc they were able to deliver it two days later. Jordan and a female were excellent and friendly and patient with this purchase. Come Monday, the delivery guys came and were literally here for less than five minutes. They took off the door from the garage without even measuring the fridge. It was not going to fit through. I even measured it beforehand. Afterwards they checked out the water valve which hooks to the line for the water and ice. They barely touched it & said get a plumber and get a new valve we can't do this. I called plumbers to gain more info & did find out, the line could simply be disconnected from the old to the new fridge with no effort. Just needed to turn off the water from the outside. We hired that plumber to do it. Then the new delivery guys came on Thursday to install my new fridge inside. These guys were much more professional. The other ones were lazy and just wanted me to provide them water without doing their job. On several occasions, I called Lowes customer service. One person said I don't know anything, I am just an office person who works at a desk. Another one said that the issue with the delivery guy happens pretty often, & transferred me to the wrong department. I did not receive good customer service over the phone and the delivery the first time was beyond an awful experience. Lowes only called to ask about the second guys coming in, but of course not the first one. I had to call them several times and I felt like they did not care for the information and concern I provided. I wouldn't recommend a delivery and installation from Lowes. They will do a push back on something just to do the least work bc they have to get their deliveries in or something. They are also a company hired by Lowes. They clearly don't care. Save yourself the headache and stress. If you buy from them, and can have delivery and installation another way, go that route. Not everyone has that choice. read more

Store Manager, Mark, handled a delivery issue seamlessly. We finally purchased a generator before hurricane season and the third-party courier dropped it at our outside front door. The generator is extremely heavy, thus paying extra to have delivered to the permanent location. Mark and a store employee carried it to our backyard chosen location. Again, it was so heavy for them to hand carry. We are so appreciative of Mark's leadership and quick decision to remedy the situation. We are loyal fans of Lowe's!! read more

We visited the Lowe's Garden Center to pick up potting soil and mulch for our yard. Upon entering, we noticed a cashier speaking with someone, but didn't see many other associates around. To the right of the entrance, there's a nice selection of plants and trees, and along the back wall you'll find a variety of soils ranging from about $3 to $10 per bag. On the opposite side, further from the entrance, there's a selection of mulch for just a couple of dollars per bag. The garden center also has plenty of charming yard décor, fencing options, hoses, and even pool supplies. You can join Lowe's My Rewards for free, and every so often they'll send you offers for small freebies--like a plant, magnet, or other little item to pick up in-store. One thing I appreciate is being able to check out right at the garden center without having to haul everything through the main store. The layout makes it easy to load items into your car with convenient access in and out. There's also a gated section in the parking lot where they keep sod, though you'll need to pay for it inside first. read more

Yesterday I visited this Lowe's because I was in the area. It was very quiet inside and lots of staff, most of whom asked if I needed help. Love that because I never know where anything is and it is such a large store. I ended up finding most of what I needed and ordered it online for p/u because Rakuten. While waiting I started chatting with a lovely cashier named Kathleen, she was so sweet and reminded me of my grandma. We were discussing the tax sale holiday and what items were on it. I did find the flyer and brought her one, she was so thankful for that. Then I was waiting by the customer service desk & was assisted by 3 more lovely ladies, Lorena - who went out of her way to make sure my order was being worked on; Karen who was also kind and helped (both were hustling so hard to help customers and keep their area organized). Then finally, Carylis, who packed up my order & walked me out to my car. Probably best customer service experience I have had at a Lowe's. Thanks ladies. My wife and I went to Lowes to discuss a countertop for our laundry room. My cabinets arrived on Friday (not from Lowes) and we are deciding on the remaining components. The cabinet area does not have anyone to to discuss cabinets. Some young guy went and got some help and we were informed that they no longer staff this area. You scan a QR code and your visit is virtual. Not how would ever buy cabinets or a counter top. This is new as I did visit Lowes for my laundry room cabinets by appointment and just decided to buy at another supplier. This was just a couple of months ago. I usually go to Lowes first as they are closer to me than Home Depot. Other than minimal items to pick up I won't be using Lowes for anything where I would need consultation. read more

This review is strictly for their home installation services. They don't tell you who the contractor is till you pay for the service because they use Angi as the go between. Angi (Angi's List)is a fee based referral service for contractors which gives preference's based on the fee's paid. So you pay in full for a contractor who may not be that good and wasn't. Was assigned Local Garage Door Pros for a garage door install and frankly, they're not pros. I won't be trusting Lowes or Angi again. Better for me to call around and get bids and not pay upfront for services of questionable quality. Not to mention, with 3 companies with their hands in the cookie jar, everyone is getting a cut. read more

This Lowes is ...fine. It's a smaller store, so they ought to have most of what you need. With a pandemic still going on, I find myself mostly using the Buy Online- Pickup option. This works out pretty great, for the most part. Sometimes I buy the wrong thing, which isnt really Lowe's fault, but mine. I'm that annoying customer who is t always sure what to buy, even if I have measurements. Needed to change an order. Called the store and was bounced around for twelve minutes and disconnected. Called back, bounced around for nine minutes. Once again, disconnected. Called a third time, someone actually answered after six minutes. I asked for a manager. He told me to hold on and put me back into the system. Phone rang for another fourteen minutes. Finally someone answered. He said he was an associate manager. I told him about how many calls I had made and the time involved. His response was, "so why are you calling? " If this is the attitude of management, it's no surprise that employees don't have an urgency to help the customers calling. The total time I spent trying to get an answer about an order came to forty five minutes. This is why most of the time we have started shopping at Home Depot. read more

If I have a choice for a home improvement store this is my place. I don't visit frequently however we were in the marker for a generator and came here since they had a Cat one on clearance. Originally over $800 marked down to $425! Couldn't pass up the deal so we got one. Finding a staff member was a challenge however once I located one they were so helpful in locating the person that worked that area to unlock the gate and get one for us. Even helped to load onto the cart. Checkout was easy through self checkout. The staff member working that area was also very friendly and chatted with me a bit while my husband paid. Masks required and plexiglass up at the registers. They have designated self checkout for cash versus credit card. read more

I came to Lowe's looking for the smart light bulb to go with the google mini and I had seen them online and they were priced at $10 so much cheaper than Best Buy. I had also some concern regarding my bathroom sink and wanted to get some advice and possibly some materials to repair it. I was looking around and found Chick who is an amazing individual that was so sweet and made sure I knew what to get and to come home and measure things and go back to the store to get them. He also recommended a Plummer that he knows. He was looking for some things that he couldn't find but seemed some help from Brian who is another wonderful individual that was happy to help. I had Lowes install wood flooring that I purchased from them. First of all, let me say that the workmanship was excellent. When ordering, I told them I wanted my bedroom, hallway and stairs done. I assumed the stairs included the step and the back of the step. When they began the install they showed me a white riser which would go on the back of the step and I said "But you're going to put the wood over that, right? " and they said yes. When they had 3 or 4 steps done I questioned why it was white and was pretty much told that was the way it had to be. Then I found out that the wood was primed but not painted. So not only did I not get the hardwood I wanted, now I have to paint the risers. I had furniture delivered less than a week after the install and now there are smudges all over the risers from the delivery peoples boots. Needless to say, this is not at all how I pictured my stairs looking. I have spoken to at least 7 people from Lowes , including 2 Assistant Store Managers, and they told me there is nothing they can do about it. I do not believe this job is completed as the materials (risers) are not finished . From now on I will be shopping at home depot. read more

We ordered a Bosch 800 dishwasher Aug 28th and told there was 50 in stock and would be shipped from the warehouse to be picked up by the Lowes installer. It took 3 weeks to get a call from install. 9/22 finally our day for install and the installer shows up with a cheap whirlpool. Luckily I caught as installer was getting ready to install, didn't have any invoice or check to ensure right dishwasher. Come to find out they sold out 1400.00 dishwasher to someone else and now is on back order. This store is disorganized and an absolute mess. We are still with out a dishwasher and back on the search, wasted 3 weeks waiting and help 1800 of my money to find out their carelessness they gave our dishwasher to someone else and tried to give us a cheap whirlpool and hope we didn't notice. Sorry never will shop at Lowes again. Stay away!!!! read more

Lowes is always a good place to visit when you need tools, home improvement goods, or plants and gardening supplies. This store has a large live plant area that is really popular with my girlfriend... as she loves to keep potted plants. And I like the tool and hardware supply areas... I almost always can find what I need. Staff is helpful, if somewhat sparse at times. Hours work for most people... and the prices are reasonable. read more

Not the best place to buy mulch , very misleading , I bought four bags of mulch Instore , I could only get four as it would only fit in my cart,. we realised we needed more so I went back up to the store and saw that they actually have it outside too and will load up the car . I thought great! so gave the cashier my previous purchase and the guys loaded my car , , I checked the barcode , the same. We got home and my husband put it down and we noticed the color difference ? I thought maybe it's wet and needs to dry ? But no it is completely different . I went back to the store with my 2 receipts and pictures and I was made to feel like a criminal , over $18 . I really have better things to do with my time. I purchased another 4 bags of the Instore mulch and it matched , as I was leaving I saw the outdoor mulch with the same barcode and it's a different color which the manager did not even bother to check . Well as a new homeowner will not be shopping here again, I have previously spent thousands in the store and this was my first ever return . . If they are to dispute over $18 what would they be like over expensive stuff. Lessoned learned , won't be giving them any more of my business . read more

The store itself is fine and purchases have been fine aside from the interior ceiling light that we bought which started to melt. It was extremely hot all over the metal trim and the plastic base was melting and smelled acrid. Thank goodness we were home to notice it. They did allow a return and exchange for the defective light, although customer service is rarely friendly or easy to understand due to language barrier. Also bought some low voltage exterior lights and they failed to work. Returned. Seems like quality of led lights is sketchy. We've also made several large purchases where they've honored military service. One recent visit sales person claimed they did not give veteran's discounts. It would be nice if they were consistent. Very weird thing -they have limited customers being allowed outside. That's right, you have to line up indoors to be admitted to the outside gardening dept. They can only allow a very limited number of people OUTSIDE due to covid China virus. Why? Makes no sense when the interior part of the store is crowded with people. Multiple people in aisles. It's inexplicable. It's depressing enough shopping during this "pandemic" but they don't even try to be friendly. Just sort of done shopping at Lowe's here. read more

I'm a fan and it's right down the street. There are some dud workers that walk around like zombies but we found a gem named Tommy. I think of Lowes as an upgraded Home Depot even though they don't have as many name brands ... But it's cleaner looking and brighter. I'm not a handy person but becoming a new home owner I have a feeling I will be here once a week trying to find another project to do on Pinterest lol they always have sales so keep a look out in the paper for the ads. Or you can go online and look it up as well. We picked out a grill and it's beautiful. They had some patio sets on sale and we got some of those. They have free delivery of you spend a certain amount. Everything was assembled and delivered and we can't wait to use our stuff. read more

Come on, five stars for a big box 'hardware' store? Taken in the light of Yelp's description "woohoo as good as it gets" I really have nothing to complain about with this Lowes, so sure. It's easily accessible to a lot of people based on where it is in Tampa. Every time I have been it has been very clean, from the parking lot through the store to the bathrooms. It is very well lit both in the parking lot at night and in the store, up and down every aisle. The employees have been very helpful and stop to ask if they can help constantly. I liked the store regardless, but they recently accepted a 10% off coupon I had sitting around that had expired 15 months prior; they certainly didn't have to do that but did anyway. Great customer service. Returns are handled with ease. read more

I ordered n washer and dryer from Lowe's, I paid for installation. When I came home, I had water coming from upstairs where they installed my washer and dryer. I called the third party which Lowe's use for install. They claimed it was my plumbing issues, and I needed a plumber. I had plumber out, and he stated the hex nut was not tighten that caused the secondary damage. The company Acanda trucking will not take responsibility, along with Lowe's for negligence of the install of my appliances. Apparently, they do not check to see if anything is secure or tighten before they leave the premises. I had restoration company to come out, to remove the water damage, to prevent mold in my townhome. The trucking company insurance refuse to pay for restoration and my plumbing bill. Lowe's response is, we delivered a working merchandised. But they failed at the installation that I paid for. This has cost me money and my time. Words of wisdom do not use Lowe's installation for appliances. They do not stand be hide the people who they hired for third party. read more

It has been a week, and my installation is not even scheduled yet. Every time I call, it's "wait 72 hours." I made it clear when I purchased that I was on a strict timeline. Unprofessional. That's my review of this hardware store in a single word. Given a sentence, I might say "the worst customer service I've ever experienced on US soil." Given a couple paragraphs I could elaborate, and what the heck since management did not care to hear my complaints I'll go ahead and do it here. The employees are poorly trained and when interacting with them you are secondary to their personal lives. While speaking to customer service another employee interrupted us to come up and HUG his coworker, put his head on her shoulder, and ask if she wanted anything from PDQ because he was off to get food. Bewildered, I waited for the customer service rep to tell him she was busy with a customer...much to my dismay, she asked for a milkshake. Her friend (won't even pretend with the word "co worker" because nobody actually does any work here) insisted that milkshakes are too sugary, so she thought for a minute before ordering a chicken sandwich with blue cheese on it. This all while she is supposed to be serving a customer. I ended up having to call management because, wouldn't ya know it, they were reluctant to give me my deposit back on a rented Rug Doctor. The reason? I didn't have my copy of the proof of transaction (they had a copy clearly visible on their side of the counter). I informed the customer service rep that another employee had rented it to me without saying a word about bringing that paperwork back. "Oh," she said, "well that person doesn't usually work over here so they probably didn't know." Excuse me? Lowes doesn't train their employees, so now I have to pay the price? I don't think so. I'm calling a manager.... Management is equally incompetent. When I called he asked me to explain my story. I told him what I have written above, but chose to take out the parts about his employees hugging and talking about food while interacting with paying customers. Surely, I thought, my being denied my deposit because of his employee errors would be enough. Boy was I wrong. I kid you not, the manager said, "well, you should have asked her when you rented it about getting your deposit back." EXCUSE ME?! Your employee doesn't know how to work the post you put her at, and it's MY fault for not asking the right questions? Absolutely done with this place. Called corporate and filed a complaint there too. Wish I had a Facebook so I could post this directly to their wall....maybe it's worth getting one. NEVER SHOP HERE!!! read more

This is my local Lowe's and I am a big fan. I like to think I am relatively savvy when it comes to home improvement 'stuff' but I know I would not make it far on my projects without the help of the good people here at this Lowe's. I have always been a Home Depot girl but, after moving to Tampa, the Lowe's is way closer so I figured I'd give them a shot. I have been so happy that I did! The folks at this Lowe's really take the time to walk you through project steps and additional considerations you may not have thought of or are even aware of. My only issue with this location is the old man in the paint department. He was being overly chatty with a woman who is trying to decide on a paint color - this lady is undecided to the point of still calling her husband for second opinions on the phone, and he sits there ignoring other customers who know what they want. Next, I'm given the wrong information about paint. So I am waiting, know what color I need but he goes back to the First Lady before just mixing my paint! And I'm waiting with my 3 noisy tired kids for 20 more minutes while they go back and forth. Unacceptable! Second employee comes back finally and I'm helped. In the past three months I have come here to twice purchase lumber. While they have all of the lumber I was looking, for their saw is allegedly broken both times. I say allegedly because when we mentioned it during checkout the clerk told us to return tomorrow when there would be more workers available who would cut the lumber So which is it? Is this saw perpetually broken? Or is there a broken staffing model? Either way extremely disappointing experience at this Lowe's. read more

This location has a great selection of tropical plants, Alocasia, Plumerias, palms, cycads, philodendron, crotons, banana, lilies etc. prices are what you'd expect. Kinda high but a way better selection than Home Depot they had a great sale on Miracle Grow garden soil in April, 5 bags for only $10 !!! Also love the selection of ceramic pots. I really like the fact that Lowe's has a Disabled Veterans discount that I can take advantage of and use it quite often. The store is always kept clean, no matter which one I go to and the people are usually pretty helpful. I went today to find sod at this store and 3 others and had very little luck and what I did find wasn't good, the vultures had already taken everything but the scraps, what a bummer. I don't blame it on Lowe's, it's that time of year. read more

This review and rating is only for Laura in the cabinets department. I had sworn off this store completely until my wife coaxed me back in to see new kitchen cabinets. Thankfully we worked with Laura - who was amazing. If I needed something I would bypass everyone else and head to Laura. Some of the cabinets we ordered arrived broken and she went above and beyond to locate replacements for us THE SAME DAY - she even inspected them and had them waiting at the front for me. Because of Laura I may go back to look at tile but I agree with the other reviews posted here - the rest of the staff at this location should take a customer service course from Laura - she is great! read more

4 stars since it has not failed me yet. Have been able to always find something that will solve my problem. Have had good luck with the staff, although sometimes you have to queue up. I've purchased a lot of 8 foot board on board fence paneling and they've always offered to help load the truck. I've also requested that they keep a little bit more in stock on a particular gallon of wood stain instead of the usual 4 which I would buy at a time and they ordered a case within the week. I bought one of the sets of air nail systems and wondered why I ever lived without one. One note: they do not rent a truck. For that, you have to go to their competitor. read more

Disappointed! 12/30/17 Went to return an item purchased On 11/15/17 with a receipt that clearly stated on the back that returns are available 90 days from purchase. We were told that we couldn't return it or get store credit because it was a Christmas item and those items had to be returned by 12/24. The item was a remote light control for $19.99. No where on our receipt did it state that. After a few tries with "managers" and crappy attitudes with the "head cashier" we got our money back. We were going to look at buying a light remote system (Alexia) and some other items but after this kind of service I'll check out Home Depot and Amazon. No more Lowe's for us! read more
