I placed an online order on Monday, and everything I ordered showed in stock. I went to pick up everything today, and only one small item was in the order bin. I was told that the larger items were NOT in stock, and won't be back in stock mid-January! The person at the desk said that they had just completed inventory, and a LOT of items showed in stock, but were not. As a former large car dealership owner, I stressed my Parts manager to do daily bin and warehouse cycle counts & make corrections. In high volume operations, that is super critical, and if the counts are more than 5% off, there is, most likely, some serious management issues. read more

I put in an online order on Saturday. Long story short, most of it was cancelled because items were apparently no longer in stock. I was ticked because I'd used a coupon and had spent considerable time comparing prices between Lowes, Amazon, Walmart and Target before placing my order. So I felt like my time had been wasted and I had to start all over. So I called and demanded to speak to a manager. I spoke with Chuck, a manager. I explained to him what had happened (I moreso was probably yelling because I was irritated). He listened, was calm, and asked me to hold so he could figure out what happened. He came back a few minutes later, explained the error on their part (a new employee had accidentally cancelled my order) and offered to make it right. He told me a girl named Rocky would call me in a few minutes to ensure everything in my order was pulled and correct. So Rocky (a girl) called a few minutes later. She was also nice and apologetic. She ensured my order was right. They were out of some things (we are in the middle of a pandemic and their online orders are crazy right now so that's understandable). She offered me more than adequate substitutions for the items that were out of stock (some were actually upgrades) and I am more than satisfied. Let's be honest- stores are going to mess up. Mistakes happen. But I think how they respond to their mistakes is what really matters. This store excels at this. They always apologize when they are wrong and they go above and beyond to fix it. This is actually my second positive experience with this store (we once ordered a dishwasher that was supposed to be in stock but would actually take 3 weeks to come in... I was NOT waiting 3 weeks, so they upgraded me to a nicer dishwasher that was available the next day. My experiences at Home Depot are NEVER that good and I think it's what makes Lowes (at least this store) better, in my opinion. read more

We ordered windows and doors for our entire house in August of 2022. This was not a few hundred dollar order, but instead several thousands of dollars. In hindsight, I should have been suspicious when the proposal and contract did not detail each product by size and dimension. But I trusted that a company like Lowes would have knowledgeable people with integrity working for them. But we were so wrong about that assumption. The install began in January 2023. The first major issue was the 2 single outside doors that the sales person ordered were $3,500 each steel doors...not the replacement doors like we wanted which were considerably lower in price. I can only guess that it was to pad his commission. After going through that battle and getting our 2 standard doors instead of the steel doors we had hoped that would be the end of the issues. But alas, that was only the beginning. We then ran into windows that came damaged from the manufacturer to screens that were wrong sizes, to windows that fell out after install because the manufacturer instructions were inadequate, to French doors that were the wrong size and the weather stripping breaking off after 3 months following install. We have had numerous visits from the installer since January, and each time we hope that this completes the process. But each time, the communication lines between what is written up by the installer and what is ordered by the store are completely distorted. Many visits from the installer were a waste of time because the wrong product is ordered or the size is wrong, etc.... Now this morning, the last straw has been reached. We are a year from when we ordered from Lowes in Statesboro and going into the 8th month since installation began without any finality, resolution or financial compensation for our inconvenience. You can never reach a manager to rectify the situation. They take your number and then no one who has the authority to resolve the issue calls you back. The Store Manager obviously does not care about customer satisfaction. The window and door manager does not care about customer satisfaction. We have been passed to one person than another, we have issued formal complaints and been assured many times by one of the other Lowes Corporate divisions that this will be resolved, but after this mornings call, I doubt that! The poor untrained customer service person stated that the Store Manager was on vacation, did not know who was in charge while the Store Manager was on vacation and when pressed for who that is, came back and told me that he was too busy to take my call, again asking for my name and number so he could look into it. REALLY? I have not even spoken to him! When I pressed again for his name she only gave me his first name, Matt, and said she did not know his last name.....REALLY??? What kind of business is Lowes running? So with this long reveiw....my advise....Do not order anything as important as windows and doors from Lowes. In fact if you are building your home or remodeling it, I would stay away from Lowes, especially Lowes in Statesboro. read more

There are 7 people in line at the paint counter. The woman working is taking her time , like no one is here. When asked if anyone else could come and help was ignored. I get that it is Saturday and more people are out and about, but all the more reason to have additional help in these departments. The guy that is being helped is getting 15 or so samples, so each one must be mixed. No one has time for this. read more

Ok, let me start by saying I'm a Home Depot gal all the way but today's experience may have swayed me. An employee named Doug, wow he's fantastic! I poached Doug from a completely unrelated department to help me with lumber. I could not locate 2X6X8 untreated and I am not at all a super handy person, although my inner HGTV says differently. Then comes this fantastic employee Doug to the rescue. He found the wood I needed for my project and then took it a step further by loading the wood in my cart. Coming from Washington I'm not sure if this was just an extreme case of being a southern gentleman or just an amazing employee. I could say my experience ended there and still have written a dope review but this guy just got better and better. I asked him about cutting my project wood to which he was more than happy to do (sorry Lowe's I don't own real tools ). You all, I had like 90 cuts and he was more than happy to assist. He had me read off what I needed, confirmed the cuts, and made sure to measure multiple times before he cut so my project would be set. This guy was truly an exceptional employee and person in general. He was so friendly always smiling and making sure to keep a steady conversation going. On top of all of that he was a total dear to my overly needy dog which is a major bonus. Thank you Doug for being an incredible person I 100% will return just for your customer service. read more

Wow what a great help the guy in the mill works section was today. I didn't get his name, but he was a big tall black guy who cut my plywood and he double and triple checked to make sure he cut it the way I wanted it. I have had others cut wood before, but never has anyone took such care to make sure it was done to my measurements as he did. I wish I could leave 0 stars for our experience with lowes for own cabinets for our new home. We moved in our home April of 2021 and we are still waiting for our cabinets to be completed. We have went up to corporate and that did nothing! We are still getting the run around from lowes about when the installer can come out to finish the job. There have been so many problems with our cabinets over the past year that this is just the icing on the cake for me. I have been very patient but I think this is just a little ridiculous. Not to mention our cabinets are already chipped in several places definitely not worth the price we payed at all! I am truly writing this review to save others the hurt and frustration with dealing with lowes. read more

Called and talked to their manager over the phone concerning a specific lawn mower model for sale. I wanted to make certain they had what I wanted before I made the trip. He said that they had it in stock, so I drove 1.5 hours to buy it, only to find out that they had a different model. Would not admit they were wrong or give me a discount on the more expensive model. Drove to Vidalia's lowes and told them the story. They apologized on behalf of s'boro's lowes and gave me a discount on a different, more expensive mower. These statesboro people don't know what they are doing...stay away. read more

I'm done buying at Lowe's Garden Center. The last 4 times I've purchased plants there they have rung them up wrong. If they are marked down the cashier has to scan the barcode and then adjust the price manually. We have a lot of space that needs plants so I buy a lot. I feel bad for cashiers, but I expect to pay the right price. Most visits I've had to go to customer service for adjustments. They still get it wrong and credit less than price marked. Come on Lowe's youre huge get your system updated. My most recent visit i asked to speak to management. The Assistant manager was impatient, rude and condescending. Don't waste your time in the appliance dept. took forever to get assistance the after a few questions the guy left. Took even longer to find someone else and his only response was " I don't work in this dept". Didn't even offer to find someone to help us. Finally got someone and he was completely useless. Couldn't answer our questions and made excuses. Went to Sears instead and was helped right away with all questions answered. The Statesboro Lowe's seems to be not as well run as other Lowe's stores which I have been to in other locations. Shelves are often in disarray, items are not restocked with employees OFTEN having to hunt items on upper shelves, and employees reporting that they can't keep people working there--especially restocking staff. Being in the process of building a house, we have been there many times over the past year. We have often bought the "last" item on the shelf and weeks later it is still not restocked. I have also pre-bought items online which are showing online as available at that store and then am notified that the "count was off" and they actually don't have the item. Very, very frustrating to do business with the Statesboro Lowe's. I have had much better luck with the Vidalia Lowe's---wish it was closer. read more

Service sucks. Even when you pay extra for the extended Warenty. We have been waiting for over 5 months for them to come and fix the broken ice maker. Parts were delivered to our house over a month ago. We were told they would be her, again, today between 1:00-5:00. Made arrangements for someone to be here. It's 6:30, no one has shown or called. This rating is for the customer service/windows dept. Windows were installed in my home, totaling $7,000. The guys who came and installed it peed next to my shed (in plain sight). They were so messy and did a horrible job! Horrible! Every window had holes....in the caulk....in the frame.....wall.....it was awful. I called and talked to manager and they told me they would have someone come fix it. The contractor set up a time with me. I was away on business and had to come home early to make appointment. He never showed. One of the workers called 4 hours later to let me know they were not going to come and to call back on a later day. They said please don't call contractor today because he had a rough weekend. I called Lowes and told them everything. I said I will make a new appointment, but DO NOT want the same contractor group to come. They saw the horrible job they did and were so unprofessional. Lowes promised a new contractor to come fix. The SAME contractor group came to fix the windows.....almost 2 hours late. Overall awful. read more

Lowe's had no problem selling products but getting them to stock parts for what they sell is worse than Congress. I bought a 4,000 dollar John Deere mower three years ago, and they still do not stock the blades for this. No problem selling the mower though. Good luck trying to find a manager to see if they could order the parts. Even their own employees were supprised that they were not stocked. Their customer service could not even direct me to the store manager. This is not the only thing. I would say about 90% of the time they are either out of what I need or they do not stock it. I spend a lot of money at this location, but will not do it anymore, I have had it with this particular store. read more

We recently purchased a home in the area and it seems like we make the almost 50 mile round trip to Lowe's at least every other week. I have encountered many employees here that were so helpful, many will remember your face and ask how the previous project turned out!
