What has happened to this Lowes ??? In general, I am a big Lowes fan, and this location used to be one of my favorites after moving into the area a few years ago. A solid 4 or even 5 stars. They seem to have had a lot of turnover, and the new crop, with some shining exceptions, seems to be incompetent across the desired skill spectrum of knowledge, customer service, lack of surliness, etc. I've actually had an employee just mumble something and walk away from me when asked a simple question. God help you if something rings up at a higher price than shown on the shelf. Be forewarned that you are the problem in that situation... Real downturn in past year or so. Mentioning something to a manager who happens by makes it evident that the problem starts higher in the organization. I'm not talking here about above and beyond expectations but, in many cases, simple standards of human interaction that everyone should know. I am in the unfortunate situation now of seeking out specific employees for help even if my question is outside their department. Pain for me and real problem for Lowes. Maybe time to head back across town to the orange guys... read more

Prices keep going up and up ? How is this possible they fired all the checkout people . The prices now should be going down !!! They don't need to pay all these ppl we want at the stores to check us out . So the prices should be dropping due to not paying them and not paying insurance for them not paying for retirements for them . These stores are just greedy now or need to raise prices due to loss of customers. Because they don't have good prices and have single checkout people in a line .not 1 Checkout person to run 4 to 6 lines .... read more

Lowes losing Business As long as lowes dosent have regular registers open the more business they lose . I don't want someone just standing in the isles we go back and forth in to wait on me in self checkout . I leave stuff lay and goto Ace hardware. Or AB Martin the lumber is cheaper and better quality, and you get a person at a regular checkout to wait on you . read more

Went to buy a $1600 log splitter. none would even start. no one knew how to start them left without purchasing imagine a store selling a $1600 item that doesn't work ...AT THE STORE? read more

I went to get a toilet seat and no one was available to check me out. I was told to use a self check out. Am I getting paid as an employee? The self check out wouldn't work then one of the Lowes rocket scientists attempted to get the self check out to work and it wouldn't work. I will never shop at this POS LOWES again. read more

Poor customer service. Brought freezer from Lowe's. Was told the day before it would be delivered . Next day waited all day at home .Called store at 5:30 pm when person told me i was rescheduled for a future date. Called next day and spoke with another person . just poor customer service. Would never order from Lowe's again! read more

My husband and I went to this Lowe's to purchase 80lb bags of concrete mix. 3 men sat in the "pro" section watching us load the 3 bags onto the cart. We then proceeded to checkout and asked the checkout woman to ask for a person to help us load the bags into our truck. We waited and waited. The 3 men continued to sit there and a new checkout person also came. One of the men (manager?) actually walked past us with his cup of iced something and went outside. I finally asked the remaining 2 guys if someone would help us. He was very nice and complied. Said the loader guy had left them. It is atrocious that these people just watched us stand there with no offer to help us. Pathetic. It is infuriating that this is what we have today. I will not support this store in the future. read more

I went in the store and had $1000 in my cart. the signs in the store said 18 month interest free. it rang in and they said that ended yesterday. okay, but your signs should have come down. Cashier was great call over a manager he said he was busy and walked away to stock shelves. She came back and said customer service can help. they said they needed a manager and paged twice. He responded I don't have time on the second call. they gave me a number to call that had a 60 min wait time. Needless to say Austin at store 1717 lost my business and my company business that I do there every month for $1500 a month. read more

I bought fencing and posts and concrete and everything to put a fence in at my home, got contractors to put my fencing in.the delivery driver took my items off the truck and broke 3 panels of fencing with the fork lift the driver did not really care and said "just call Lowe's"maybe they will give you a discount.well,I call Lowe's because I didn't want a discount I wanted what I paid for and they told me to exchange them I would have to bring the fence panels back to the store myself even though I paid for delivery because I had no way of transporting the product, and then set up delivery again or take panels with me.they would not discount panels not would they refund panels they just did not care and did not make good on it at all the reps were Brandon and Abby and claimed there was nobody else to talk to.i will never use Lowe's again for even the slightest thing!! You know what they say also one person tells ten people and those ten people each tell 10 people..my father is a contractor and usually uses Lowe's but unfortunately that will not be happening any longer either! Home Depot it is even if it ends up being more expensive! read more

Customer service is terrible in this Lowe's. Multiple times to get someone to cut keys for me and after 20 minutes we left. They have an automatic machine but you have to feed it dollar bills and it would have cost me $12 for 3 keys. read more

I was there today and I was looking for a bracket for my closet door so I asked the lady if there was somebody to help me. The lady told me to go to isle 2 and someone would come help me. So she got on the loud speaker and requested help for isle 2. So I stood there and waited 10 min then I came back to her and told her nobody ever came. So she got back on the loudspeaker and asked for help on isle 2 again and I stood there another 10 men and still nobody came. So I just got frustrated and left their service is horrible I will never go back to that store read more

This one more way lowes just don't get it. It's almost impossible to write any review. Now that I actually can, I need to express how greatful I am to a LARRY WADE. In plumbing, I'm not where he came from or how lucky they are to have him, he is a master plumber wears farmer pants, but he is aces, know his stuff compared to the the people in plumbing. Or management. There a true joke (management) at best subpar. Larry has made it a delight to actually feel stupid and not know plumbing. Way to go LARRY WADE. You made it a pleasure to mess with plumbing, I hope your there forever. Love farmers and love you. Your the best. You deserve better than lowes. Until you in plumbing it was a joke... I'm routing for you...right now it's a loosing company, wasteful and I'm being soft. Good luck LARRY WADE..Bayou can maybe make stuff better.. read more

Its always the same, this place is super clean, the people try to be helpful when the store staffs appropriately but there is never enought staff. In addition the buyers at corporate simply do not select quality products. We have outdoor lights transformers go bad in one season, black premium mulch that comes out of the bag white, duck tape that does not stick, I can go on and on. The trouble of returning the goods is simply not worth the trouble but at times the product is too expensive to live with the bad quality. I end up getting many of the replacements from Amazon, its simply easier and you can see the ratings online read more

After canceling my online purchase at Home Depot because of extremely poor service (I was finally contacted after 6 hours and 2 complaints to customer service), I placed the same order to Lowe's and received phone call it was ready after 1 hour. The now have my consumer loyalty. read more

Went there last night to buy submersible water pump. Knew right where they were. They had entire aisle blocked off, even though pumps are on one end and there was a woman working a forklift clear at the opposite end. Went to grab water pump, loud mouth woman on forklift started screaming "you'll have to step out of here sir, you'll have to step out of here sir". LOUD! Eventually, they moved the blockade halfway down the aisle, where it should have been. The woman could have just stopped her fork lifting temporarily, while we bought water pump. We were at the oppposite end of a long aisle. If it wasn't so close to closing time, I would have gone to Home Depot, where the workers are polite and helpful. Ended up dropping $140.00 at this ungrateful store. Is this Lowe's in business to sell stuff, or be rude to customers, create public scenes, and continue to run forklifts while customers need to get what they need off the shelf? We won't be going there ever again. read more

Lowe's and for the matter Home Depot both have their strengths and weaknesses. Both have good prices and great selection of a variety of different things. Both have issues with staff knowledge, even though there are some gems in all locations. On to this location. This location has always been helpful whenever I have had an issue. Always did their best and often succeeded with helping me find things or finding the right employee to help with knowledge. I also really enjoy the location having very easy highway access means I don't need to wait through a bunch of traffic lights. read more

New store just opened in the last few months. One thing that Lowe's usually does well is having plenty of associates around to answer questions if needed. This was the case here also. Great service and we found all of the 15 or so items that we were looking for at our first trip since moving into the area. read more

The only thing worse than their parking lot is their employees knowledge of where things are in the store. It's bad enough that half the parking lot is handicap parking or parking for the Lowe's trucks but when you actually walk in to the store it shouldn't take you 20 minutes to find a simple item because the employees have no idea where it is read more

customer services Is horrible I had to go to Lowes in Dedham 3 times all I wanted to do was buy a grill. not available in Dedham they guy tell me to go on line and order it from the Brockton store. I asked him to help me order it now while Im in the store nope they don't help the customer like that. I ordered on line for delivery 2 weeks ago and will not deliver until 8.15.20 so I called the store and tracked what was going on they now tell me two grills are in the store so I head back down to the store again oh yes two grills available but they are damaged and one of them appears to me my grill I was not aware or notified. I asked them customer services again to assist me he told me to go to the Pembroke store and I live in Dorchester MA. how frustration sets in now I'm in the store over an hour still trying to get someone to help me order the grill. they said no. I called the Pembroke store to try and order by phone she told me if I don't have a computer go to the public library. I cat make this up I was so disgusted this is my second bad experience and now I am speaking out. I know time are not the best but Lowes has definitely let me know and I am now looking at a more smaller hardware business to give my business to. This may not matter to Lowes I am definateling telling everyone I know that I am jumping ship and finding a more customer services oriented business to spend my money. JUST SO YOU KNOW I WOUND UP BUYING THE GRIL AT WALMART THE YOUNG LADY HELPED ME ORDER IT ON LINE INSIDE THE STORE DIRECT FROM THE CUSTOMER SERVICE REP CELL PHONE read more

Terrible experience with gutter installation. I would advise anyone looking at Lowes to for gutter installation to strongly review all your other options. I had gutters installed in May 2015. They began leaking from all joints almost immediately after installation. I have been contacting Lowes for at least 6 months attempting to get them to address the issue. Their contractor finally came out a few weeks ago to 'fix' the leak. He found that all the calk had dried up so he re-calked all the seams. (Don't even get me started on why a calk would dry up only a few months after installation.) But that still hasn't fixed the problem. They are still leaking! I have explained to Lowes that one of the leaks is over my deck steps and creates an ice slick in the winter but that doesn't seem to matter to them. I just called them this morning to find out what can be done to remedy the matter permanently and they gave me the same song and dance. They will call the contractor, he will come out and assess the situation, blah blah blah. I asked if someone else could come out and try to find a solution. They don't do that. I guess problem solving isn't in this Lowes' skillset but acting bored and being annoyed when a customer calls with a complaint definitely is. read more

Went to Lowe's to get a key copied and some lumber for a DIY project. Our daughter took the key to Customer Service desk while we hunted for lumber, and asked the woman behind the desk to help her as no one was around the key station. The woman was too busy chatting up male coworkers to help my daughter and treated her rudely, saying she would call someone to do it but then never lifting a finger. Our daughter was forced to stand waiting while this woman, a stocky bleached blond by description, continued to deliberately ignore her and talk to her coworkers. Eventually, our daughter found a salesman to help her, but she was upset that she had been treated this way and so were we. Who would deliberately stand there idly yakking in front of a customer who needs help, and make them wait like that?? That is not "Customer Service" at all, in our opinion. read more

A lightbulb would be more helpful than Lowes because at least it could light the way. they know nothing about where anything is or how to any of the tools they sell. I am better off asking other customers about advice on what to buy. read more

Horrible experience at flooring department. No one there but flagged a sales woman down and she said she knew nothing about carpeting but could put stuff in the computer. Then a young man showed up. Asked if he could help us and he said not until his shift started in 5 minutes. He said he new about carpeting but didn't know how to use computer. Frustrated, I went to CS and my husband stayed behind and tried to work with woman. He chose no carpet when she told him to go pay $35. He said no and she responded by saying"I guess I did all that for nothing!" What a great attitude and I can see why she works at Lowe's! Finally after I went to CS, who were very nice and embarrassed, Tom came and helped me choose the right carpeting. I have to say I am very nervous about going through with the purchase but I have an $800 gift card so I will take my chances. Will go to Home Depot for everything else from now on. read more
