September 2024 I placed an order for kitchen cabinets totalling $18K +or- a few dollars. Leading up to the actual order placement, we waited weeks for the for Lowes contractor to come measure for exactness. Associate Richard Parsons spent many hours helping get the right configuration, over several different visits. He was patient, helpful, personable and skilled, not only in cabinets, but throughout the home improvement section. Installer finally arrived, measured, and order was placed. Cabinets arrived in good time, another wait of weeks for installer to actually install them. These delays added to the cost of the cabinets with eating out and/or ordering in. Not to mention the inconvenience and stress of having a totally unusable kitchen! When he didn't show up to install in a timely manner, I visited the store, took a seat, explained the situation and that my patience was exhausted. In talking to Mr. Parsons and his manager I made it clear I was not leaving the store until there was resolution to getting the cabinets installed. That was accomplished. In the meantime, unopened boxes of cabinets were setting in the garage. Upon installing there was an upper cabinet missing. The missing cabinet arrived and has been setting in the garage for more weeks. With the base cabinets installed we were able to have the countertop installed and backsplash tiled. Bob Connor, the person Lowes hires as an installer spends time in Peru, where he told me he has a vacation home. Work comes before vacation. I will give Richard Parsons five stars for his dedication to customers. The manager on shift doesn't know anything about customer service or the slightest information about the store policy. My advice is stay away from this store! Crooks is an understatement on how Lowe's Sedalia operates. read more

The organization of the tools is very inconvenient. Bits are spread around to random aisle end caps or "hot deals" sections. Spent way too much time wondering around confused and I would've asked for assistance but they were busy "helping"customers find what they're looking for. Trash customer service. short story, long : We asked for a product, they scanned it for the product number, asked us to help them find it, we found it and they would still not get it for us, so he called backup and got it after another 10 minutes. When we were checking out lady was super rude because my dad could not understand and has a thick accent and gave us an attitude. So basically all workers are 18 that think they are adults. UPDATE: 7/27/18-Our fence got installed! I've got to say that I was impressed with the work that our installers Bob and Randy did, I'm giving them two, 5 stars. I felt like they went above and beyond to line the back vinyl fence with the existing chain link fence on the sides even including a small partition between the fence and the neighbors garage so that their two small dogs would not use that as an escape route into the front yard. The back fence looks beautiful and with time we might do our whole yard and may give Lowe's another shot after all. read more

I would be carful prior to starting business with the Lowes's installation department. My fence installation took 9 months and the entire time I had to continue contacting the store due to their limited communication in efforts to have this job completed. The installation department and management struggled due to their limited knowledge on the installation services being completed but felt their opinion on the workmanship should suffice. I was told by the installer they sent to my home that he had "no way of measuring" to ensure the fence and gate were placed in a straight line. When panels were jaded from the installer cutting them I was told this was "just what happens". When I reached out for support I had to spend numerous hours on the phone with customer service. The competitors nearby offer relatively similar prices which make the limited savings not worth the headache in the end. I would also beware if you are a single woman, they will try to manipulate this to their advantage to get away with doing a poor job. I have a fence now, but it appears uneven, crooked, like it's been pieced together with used parts, and patched up due to substandard workmanship leaving uncertainty as to whether or not it will remain standing for even an entire year.If you enjoy a challenge when you spend your money on a service that involves you to have to be diligent for 9 months to ensure the work is completed just to have them refuse to ensure your satisfaction, give Lowes store #1067 a try. I wouldn't recommend wasting your time calling the Lowes Customer Care line - they were not helpful. read more

Recently my husband and I were in the market for all new appliances. We went in and browsed around for a bit and weren't hassled by anyone. One sales associate, Gene, approached us and said that if we had any questions he would be happy to help....not pushy at all. This store has changed the way I view Lowes. The stores I have experienced in the Chicago area left a bad taste in my mouth. However, I have been able to get solid advice and help from the staff at the store. Additionally they have delivered items to my home and their delivery people are timely, professional, and friendly. read more

I have shopped at this store several times with good results, however, I had a problem with a 4-year-old Kohler toilet. I needed parts for a flushing mechanism, unlike others I've ever seen. After realizing parts weren't available I purchased a new toilet. While installing new toilet I discover it has the very same flushing mechanism as the other that wasn't described in info at the store. After calling the store and telling the dept. head of my issue he told me he will look into stocking the replacement parts that would have saved me from buying a new toilet. read more
