Along with finding specific measurements for nails for wood project that I'm making for my dragon fruit plant I was able to find citronella candles as well as wood that will finish off my T top of the plant box. Yes your girl is very handy with a hammer and nails. I love that the staff are more than willing to help. You can literally tell them your vision and they will try the best to give you advice point you to someone who is an expert in that department. I've gotten everything from plants to tools and even had wood project pieces cut to specific measurements so that I can take them back home and to assemble it. I love the value at Lowe's even with their competitors. They always seem to have specials running where you can find a really great deals for your money. I highly recommend that if you're a contractor or even a Midwest girl like me who loves to play in the dirt and put wood projects together give Lowe's a try there's no project too hard they literally have everything that you could possibly think of to make your vision come to life. read more

Stopped in the get a couple blinds around 7pm on a Sunday and had a tough time at first finding anyone available to cut the blinds. Seems the person working in that area leaves at 5. Then an associate named Ron who does not work In that department came over to give it a try which was really nice of him. He tried and our hats off to him for the effort. He then went and found Brenda who came over from Appliances to give it a try. She was able to work the machine and cut the blinds. Both Ron and Brenda offered that extra customer service that made our visit to Lowes/Santee a memorable one. We were completely satisfied! Bought some sliding door mirrors for my closet for my dad to install. We tried to put them in the car but i accidentally dropped one corner and slightly cracked it (10 years of bad luck for me). I have been a Lowe's customer for decades...but NEVER again. We purchased a very nice dishwasher and paid for their "professional installation." The crew that came to our home was not respectful and did a poor job installing the unit in our newly-remodeled kitchen. When we called Lowe's Santee for help getting the job corrected, we got serious pushback. They finally came to our home and were unable to correct their issues. I went back to the store, spoke to store management and was disrespected and then threatened by them that they would not honor the extended warranty we purchased. It cost me a few thousand dollars to get the issues fixed with the cabinets and granite tops. I will never go to Lowe's again. Better off going to Home Depot. read more

Buyers BEWARE. 48 hr appliance warranty WHAT?! Are you people Cal Worthington and his dog Spot?! He gave better warranties on 72 Buick Skylarks. I am so disgusted that I didn't catch this. You people make me physically ill. I used to despise politicians; now, I suspect they work at Lowe's corporate to learn their slimy ways first. We bought a number of high dollar appliances from them. Even got their credit card for the interest savings. Just bought a stackable washer dryer for my elderly mother and after 5 weeks, it failed. We were told that they only warranty their appliances for 48 hrs from purchase, BUT, since we have their credit card, they graciously grant us 30 days. On a washer. REALLY?! You should be doing stand-up! Since we're out of the 30 days by a week, we have to use the extended warranty we paid for. That dude finally shows up, says, "wow, the whole motor housing is cracked in half. Never even SEEN that before. I'll order the parts and get back eventually." Well, it's almost a week later. Parts just got ordered today, we finally found out. Their service is worse than the Lowe's service. And I paid EXTRA FOR IT!! My little mom still can't do her laundry. Lowe's response? Too bad. Yeah, it is. We have spent our last nickel with you crooks. Home Depot is about 3 blocks away from you. I'll spend the money for the gas. You know, sometimes, you entertain angels without knowing it. I bought a stackable washer dryer from Lowe's for $1, 900 . The dryer quit working after 5 weeks. That was 5 times using the dryer. We found out Lowe's only guarantees it for 48 hours but if you put it on the Lowe's card it's for 30 days which we did. The 5 year warranty is through GE and the repair company is Haier US Appliance Solutions/GE Appliances, a Haier Co. We contacted Lowe's and they let us know it wasn't their problem to contact GE. After 9 days a repairman came out. He said it was either damaged during transport as the motor was cracked in half. Could have been improperly assembled at the factory. He would order parts and call on Monday to let us know that the parts were ordered. Of course no call. Again many calls to GE and Lowe's. Again not their problem. On Tuesday we got a text that he was on his way here so I left a gathering that I was at and came home. At around 4:00 he text that he ordered the parts and would be out the following Tuesday. Monday this week we got the call that he wasn't coming Tuesday because parts weren't received and he would be out Thursday. Monday afternoon parts start arriving by FedEx. No idea they were coming here. First part that came was a machine screw. More calls and found out more parts were coming. If he comes out on Thursday I will have had no dryer for 3 weeks. I am 79 years old and if I didn't have my son and daughter in law helping me, I don't know what would have happened. This is the worse "customer service" that we have ever dealt with. It has been 3 weeks of fighting. Worse yet, it's not over. Please beware, Lowe's, GE and Haier don't care. I would give them no stars if I could. My rating would be a minus many stars. read more

Worst customer service I ever had at any Lowe's store . Paint was on sale and there was another large sign saying take an additional $10 off this particular selection of paint . My wife and I asked 2 differnt Lowe's associates if the $ 15 off per gallon included the $10 and both confirmed that sign stated it would be the additional $10 off at time of purchase . That it would come off at the register . Well that did not happen and The manger Aaron was called . Aaron did not try to come and figure out the issue at the register . He was on some radio that was not communicating well to the cashier .the cashier signed into a different register help other customer and left her walkie-talkie near us at her register . Aaron's management skills need a lot of work . He unwittingly said basic not going to happen over the walkie talkie thing . Aaron then seem upset to even be bothered to come to the register with the sale sign in his hand and repeated the same thing . He stated the $15 off included the $10 on the sign and kept arguing with us . We are still trying to figure out how something proved on line and in store as $45 on sale for $30 then the $10 off sign . Aaron needs to go back to math class . Anyway it's the first time in 100 or more visits to Lowe's Santee that we have ever been spoken to or treated like we were today . Aaron just kept repeating and not listening . I'm sure he did not go out the sign back up . The management in Santee seems to have changed I used to know A dozen or more employees by name. Seems like everyone that cared is no longer on staff there . I'll be shopping at Dixieline and Ace. Supporting small stores even more going forward . Awful experience!! If i could give ZERO stars I would. Bought custom blinds for a small 2 bd room condo. They were quick to take our money and order them. But when they installed them they did not fit. Half of them did not raise from the bottom. Tried multiple times to come to the store and make corrections. There was no response. Tried multiple times to contact the blinds department and get it fixed no one was available. We set ok lets cancel and return them. They took them after almost a month. OH and they also took 15% booking fee. I have been a long time shopper of Lowes especially the one here in Santee. But no longer. Then went all the way back to cashier area and told them I need help and they called it over the loudspeakers and I went back to doors and waited. I finished my self-checkout and the lady that work there grabbed several items filling her fists with what I had paid for and walks away with them. I have never experienced such an incredible lack of accountability and customer service from a store. After purchasing a bathroom vanity from Lowe's Santee, I received a damaged unit that was clearly repackaged and unusable. I did everything right: reported it immediately, had the item picked up, and was told I'd receive a replacement or refund. That was July 25th. Today, weeks later, I am still fighting for a simple $160 refund. I have called the store at least five times, visited in person once, and even called Lowe's corporate twice. Every single time, I was told I'd receive a callback. Not once did anyone follow through. On one visit, I was told no one could help me because it was a Sunday. Really? To make matters worse, I even emailed store management directly. They ignored me completely. No apology, no ownership, no resolution. Just silence. The problem, according to employees, is that the delivery driver didn't properly mark the return in their system -- even though there is a record of the pickup. Instead of fixing their own clerical mistake, Lowe's has pushed this onto me to chase down over and over again. This is beyond unprofessional. It is dishonest, negligent, and disrespectful of customers' time and money. Lowe's Santee has wasted nearly a month of my time for what should have been a straightforward refund. This was my first visit to this Lowes ... and only because the Santee location was the only one in the San Diego area that had 15# bags of bone meal. I ordered online for in-store pickup, which I usually do. I arrived at the store to find an unstaffed Pickup desk with instructions to use a kiosk to check-in. First, the scanner on the kiosk was malfunctioning and couldn't read my confirmation. So, I had to key in order details. Then I had to wait for over 5 minutes for an associate to help me. When she did arrive, she had me verbally provide her with the same order information rather than look at the monitor above the kiosk that was displaying it! I I am refurbishing an old Park bench, I needed some premium wood, and Home Depot did not have what I wanted so I went over to Lowe's, which is only about a half a mile from Home Depot in Santee. I found 3 foot pieces of premium pine. And I found someone who said they could cut them in half for me. Since each piece was 8 feet long I needed them cut to 4 foot length, but the kid who helped us did not know how to measure wood to cut it in half obviously not trained. Also, when he actually cut the wood he pulled the saw through the wood, like he was racing a car or something, so the ends of the wood were chipped and splintered. When you're cutting a piece of wood in half to get to even pieces, you measure half the length of the wood from each end and make a mark both times then you cut it in the middle of the two marks that you get to even space pieces, even though they may not be exactly 4 feet long they should be very, very close in this case. And when you're cutting wood, you pull very slowly through the wood not jerk it. Of course, that means that you saw has to be nice and sharp even if you cut slowly, they can still splinter if it's not. Again I have no idea if anybody is trained to do any of this kind of simple stuff. It's no wonder you guys only have barely 2 stars, you have a lot of stuff to sell and you do mostly a pretty good job but this kind of thing put you in a bad light. I talked to Manager and he said he couldn't help me and that I would have to call Lowes Corp. I called Corp and they said they couldn't help me. Second time this week we come in after calling to inquire if they had a particular flooring product. The store was empty of customers and yet not an employee in the store, not even the flooring lady I had spoken to 10 min. earlier. After waiting with my husband and contractor for 20 minutes I walked all around the store to ask for help, ran into an older man wearing their uniform, John, and asked him if he could help me in flooring or find someone who could. Didn't even lift his eyes from his phone to look at me and said "not my department". At thy point I went to the front and asked if a manager might be able to help. I spoke to a man by the name of Gabe. He helped us find what we needed but didn't seem very happy about it. Today, Saturday, went in again and same story empty of customers and no one in the paint department. Asked a cashier if she could call someone. 15 min. later nothing. I asked her if someone was coming and she barked "I am busy doing my job". Finally a man named Aloha came and helped us. After asking two other men who just looked at each other as if I had asked them to give me their kidney! If it wasn't so funny it would be creepy! The employees walk around like if they were in the film "invasion of the body snatchers", they all have an attitude and when asked a question their eyes glaze over if they even look at you and then glare into space as if they were lost! I think they need to pump oxygen in the air system like casinos do and bring them back to life! Lol! My parents purchased new carpeting for their living room through Lowe's Home Improvement in mid-September. They chose Keller Interiors, a subcontracting company through Lowes, as their carpet company of choice. Ed, with Lowe's, was my parents' communication/transactional source for their carpet project. Keller came to their home and measured their living room, and Ed handled all the transactional aspects. After the carpet was installed, my parents discovered that they were overcharged $760 by Lowe's for carpet they didn't need, receive, or have installed, based on the measurements done on behalf of Keller. This means that ED overcharged them for the carpet measurements. For several months, my parents have tried to resolve the $760 overcharge through Ed, Lowe's, and Keller Interiors, only to receive ZERO communication from any known sources. The question now is: Is Lowe's intentionally ripping my parents off/out of $760? I mean, it has been several weeks without any resolution or a phone call back from Lowe's regarding handling the overcharge. It would seem like it, right? At this point, the best course of action was to dispute the $760 overcharge with their bank. However, Lowe's Home Improvement has deemed it necessary to fight this dispute instead of trying to resolve the issue by returning my parents' phone calls regarding the matter. This has made it much more difficult for them to recover the overcharge for something they didn't need, get, or have installed. Several years ago we bought a refrigerator from these guys, and while everyone in store was helpful, the delivery process was a complete mess, and that was pre-pandemic! Fast forward to today - completely, ridiculously hopeful that they've gotten their delivery act together since the refrigerator incident. We had another great in-store experience with a pleasant, helpful associate over a dishwasher...and then...Delivery time is scheduled between noon and 4:00 p.m., which comes and goes. We call the store to find out how far out our delivery is. We completely understand that it's the middle of a heatwave, so can they tell us anything about when to expect the appliance. They say it's already been delivered. What?! Surely you jest! My boyfriend goes outside to see if anyone's dropped it off in the driveway or something. They were also supposed to take our old one, and we paid for the haul away too. Nope, the old one's still there. So, can they make a call for us? Contact the delivery people? Confirm they still have the dishwasher, or to what address it was delivered, since we don't have it? No. We have to do that. So...apparently if the delivery people lose anything, you're out an appliance folks! Lowe's won't even call the delivery company to follow up for you, or even suggest a solution. You'll have to take it from there. Luckily, staff at the delivery company office was still working at 5:00 on a Saturday, and cleared things up for us, but tracking packages seems like a no brainer these days, and when the package is worth over $800, you'd think someone would be keeping better track to make sure it gets to the customer. read more

We purchased an expensive Whirlpool refrigerator at Lowe's Santee along with an expensive 5 year extended warranty. Now 16 months later we are unable to get Lowe's to make timely repairs despite waiting nearly 3 weeks and loosing hundreds of dollars worth of food and medicines. And get this- to make matters worse Whirlpool won't honor their original 2 year compressor warranty because we purchased and first tried using our Lowes extended warranty. Lowes warranty says nothing about cancelling manufacturers warranty and Whirpool warranty says nothing about voiding their warranty if an extended coverage is purchased from seller. After calling Lowes warranty they sent out Antech Appliance which took nearly a week. Antech, now 10 days later, says Lowe's delayed giving their repair approval. Lowes, now 10 days later, says Antech delayed submitting for approval and only submitted a request a day ago (after coming out 10 days ago!) and we will need to just wait another 8-10 days for any repairs. So it looks like nobody - Lowes, Antech or Whirlpool - is honoring anything to do with trying to make timely repair despite double warranty coverages. unfortunately there is no time limit stated in the Lowes Extended Warranty so I guess if it gets repaired in he next 5 years they will have lived up to their promised warranty. Maybe "Extended Warranty" really refers to the length of time it will take to repair an appliance and not just the number of years that they promise to warranty repairs. read more

Not only did he help me out he was helping +2 other customers at the same time, followed back up with us quickly to make sure we knew he didn't forget about us. Unlike Home Depot employees. I'm was looking at the 2x4 lumber and noticed the stack was infested with termites. I made justin aware and he redirected me to another stack but didn't have the quantity I need. So he told me he'll get the fork lift and pull another out for me, but right after he helps a elder customer load some lumber. So, we are building a house. What an experience. We've used Lowe's for a few parts of the project and have had a great experience. Brenda McGowan in appliances is nothing short of wonderful. She is so patient and kind. We had a small issue with the stove and she was incredible responsive and kind. We also worked with Todd Miller for the doors. I had no idea how complicated and expensive front doors are- guys if you want a nice front door, fasten your seatbelt. But Todd made it a great experience. He was patient and showed me all of the options, and we ended up finding the perfect front door at a great price. I'm sure we will be back for more stuff because stuff just keeps coming up. If I could give 0 stars I would!! We went and bought a refrigerator for my 84 year old grandma and paid for delivery the next day. When it came time for the delivery window they called and said they could not deliver the fridge because of her driveway. We have had things delivered here before, including her last fridge, not to mention having my grandpa's semi truck driven up the driveway but they couldn't get a box truck up this driveway!!! They didn't even try!!! They didn't even come talk to us!!! Then when they call us about it and we finally talk to someone they say they will try to find a truck to bring it up the driveway. I have a damn truck we could have used to bring the thing up the driveway and have them install it!!! And tomorrow they can't even give a window other than sometime between 8am and 8pm!!!!! There is hundreds of dollars of food that now is going bad cause there is no fridge after being promised delivery today!!! Lowes didn't even offer an apology or offer a refund on the delivery and install!!!! Shame on Lowes!!! I will be shopping at Home Depot for any needs I have in the future.
