I have sent three emails about a problem that I had and no one has responded. I have called and no one has assisted me. Back in July 2024, I purchased a stove and refrigerator from Lowes. They came and they installed it. Everything was going okay until the other day when I noticed water leaking into my basement- I called a plumber who came out to assess. He was immediately able to determine that it was the ice line from my refrigerator- he pulled back the refrigerator and there was water behind it- which I had not seen. The plumber repaired it and he said that the installation team at Lowes did not use the right parts- they used a nylon part- and if they had installed it correctly, this would not have happened. I reached out to my home owner's insurance as well. I had to pay out of pocket $864 for the plumber to fix the issue that was created by Lowe's mistake. I had a day yesterday..... but something wonderful happened. I have a person that needed an AC unit due to ....... WELL FIRST ITS HOT AS HELL....... lol But he is in his 80's and has COPD.... And I heard his Broke.... Long story short I called LOWES IN READING PA LOOKING FOR A KIND HEART ...... and YES A DISCOUNT because I'm broke! Lol And I FOUND BOTH......... His name is TAJ TEST and he's a Supervisor at The Lowes' 4535 Perkiomen Ave Reading, PA 19606 United States I explained the situation with my Elderly friend and of course like most OF US .........they are on a shoe string Budget right? So I told him I was looking for a stand Alone AC unit because they lived in a trailer and that I had seen they were around $400. I explained that I wanted to purchase this for them but I am NOT financially sound and would appreciate any assistance Lowe's would be willing to give me to help this man breath a little easier and allow his wife to sleep a little easier. Anyway he said he wasn't sure what he could do but he would see and call me back......... GUESS WHAT........ He called me back within 30 minutes......... now when I called him it took awhile for him to answer the phone so I know this man is busy. 30 minutes people...... they only had 1 UNIT LEFT..... they can't keep them in the store........... Why??! BECAUSE ITS HOT AS HELL ..... right......? So he had spoken to the asst Store manager ............ and explained what I was trying to do....... We bought a Samsung washer and dryer here in July and submitted for the advertised rebate but our submission was declined for some vague reason. It is impossible to get a human on the phone to help at lowes customer 'care' or the rebate center. The rebate is a bait and switch so buyer beware. If you don't actually get the discount at the store it probably won't happen. We had multiple other problems with our orders having to be resubmitted and patio furniture arriving damaged. In the few times I've been there I felt I was watched like a criminal, at checkout bunch of employees position themselves around me like hawks around a prey! One behind a screen one behind my back and one walks around casually while staring at my cart to see if I'm hiding something in full view! It didn't happen once but every time I'm there, and not only with me I've seen them do with with everyone and they're not trying to be subtle about it they want the customers to know they're under supervision which feels very uncomfortable and kinda insulting, in my opinion they should be trained better than that and show some respect to their patrons, even Walmart employees show more respect and professionalism (can't believe I say that but it's true) read more

DO NOT USE THIS STORE! The other stores in Berks County are very good, but this store is completely unresponsive. I placed an order for a grill online and was supposed to have it assembled and delivered last Friday. I normally order from the store on Route 724, however, apparently they did not have the grill I purchased in stock and my order was transferred to the Exeter location. I was told that this would be delivered to me on Friday, April 28th. The store assembled the grill and sent it to the delivery company. The delivery company called me that morning and asked me if "I ordered a damaged grill", because that was what they received. They wanted to ensure this was okay with me prior to delivery. OF COURSE I DIDN'T ORDER A DAMAGED GRILL! The delivery company returned it to the store and I was promised I would hear from them later that day or the next morning! NOW 5 CALLS later, I finally got so frustrated with the lack of response and customer service from these people that I cancelled the grill. They apparently do not have one to assemble for me and it would be a while before I get it. HOW UNPROFESSIONAL AND UNRESPONSIVE! DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME WITH THIS STORE! Do not buy Valspar paint. Lowe's and Valspar heralded in their new Valspar Reserve paint, touting it's "one coat" capability. Well, after three coats, it finally started to blend in so the roller marks didn't show. But now, my "Ultra White" has a yellow tinge to it. In the past, I counted on the quality of Lowe's paint, but with this latest addition, I'll never buy paint at Lowe's again. The "Color Guarantee" just makes me have to use their paint to fix what their paint couldn't do, so it's no guarantee at all. Don't get fooled by the gimmick of the "one coat" ads. False advertising aside, I'm more angry about the white looking yellow, in streaks and patches on my two-story family room walls...the time wasted makes me furious. Walked up to customer service to exchange some led light bulbs after spending over ten thousand dollars in lowes the last two months and this MARITZA attitude from the get go . I'm confused she works in customer service isn't it her job to be cordial and helpful to people that contribute to her paycheck ? Honestly I've never encountered such a trashy, nasty idiot before . My experience at the Exeter Lowe's has been fantastic thus far. My husband and I recently moved into the area and are doing some significant renovations on our home. We made our way over to the Lowe's in Exeter and I am so glad that we did. We stopped at the local Home Depot first and were underwhelmed, to say the least. Our experience at Lowe's was far superior to our experience at Home Depot. Each person, in every department at Lowe's was so nice and helpful. All of the staff that we dealt with at this location were knowledgeable about their products/services and they really seemed to care about customer service. From paint, to appliances, to kitchen design, and even the check-out staff, literally every single person that we encountered was incredibly helpful and friendly. The real stand out, however, was Gabe. We spent basically an entire day at the store, mostly with Gabe in the kitchen design center, and he was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, professional, fun to work with, and just an all around great guy. He was the only one working in the design center that day and managed to work intently with us while still providing great customer service to other customers that stopped in to peruse the kitchen design section. Gabe helped us with things that I'm fairly confident are not even part of is job description and he did it all with a big smile. My husband can be a tough nut to crack, and he even really liked Gabe and thought he did a great job - which is very high praise coming from him! We have not received our order yet (appliances, cabinets, countertops, lighting, etc.) so I cannot comment on the shipping and delivery side of the experience just yet, but designing and ordering everything was a real pleasure. I have found that in this day and age, we are all conditioned to expect and to accept mediocrity in customer service. The Lowe's in Exeter was a very nice departure from this new, lowered standard. I have no problem with Lowe's of Exeter. I always find what I need. However, their line of ceiling light/fans - Harbor Breeze - is ridiculous. The remote for the Harbor Breeze ceiling light/fan that I have is no longer working. A new battery did not correct this. I bought a replacement remote - and the sensor unit also, which is packaged with the remote. (you can't just buy a remote) I called Harbor Breeze customer service and was told that I have to replace the sensor unit in the light as well - which means hiring an electrician! All that just to replace a remote that isn't working! Absolutely ridiculous. read more

I will not shop at this Lowes ever again. Today I spent $450+ on a cordless lawn mower plus some smaller items. The lady at the checkout was a buffoon. I had to ask her 3 times to enter the My Lowes number. In fact, she had totaled everything and it was almost too late when she finally decided to do it. Also I asked her at the beginning to get someone to load the giant mower box into my car. While she was ringing up my items I repeatedly asked her to call for someone. After she finished the sale, she told me to pull my car up to the curb and she would "try" to find someone to help me. Really? I left my mower on the cart at the curb and dashed to my car worried that some near-do-well would run off with the mower while 2 Lowes employees casually walked past. Short story long, after waiting for 10 minutes, no one came so I picked up that huge box by myself and put it in the car. I'm almost 60 years old and only 5'2". The box was almost as big as me but I was so mad that it felt light as a feather when I turned into the hulk and picked it up. What a bunch of lazy slackers! When I got home my neighbor reminded me that last year we bought mulch there and waited close to 1/2 hour for someone to load it although there weren't any other customers waiting. Lowes products are great but don't shop at Exeter if you want good service. read more
