    Ad a home owner I come to Lowe's often to purchase many items for my home improvement projects and my gardening needs. The prices are pretty average, inventory can be a hit or miss and service is sub par. When you need help on the floor most employees are no where to be found and when you do find one they advise they will call for help or may get a finger, pointing you to a random direction. . The service is somewhat better in the paint department. The check out process has become more and more impersonal and most times you stand on a line and then are pointed to self check out. On a positive note, there is plenty of parking, they always have soil and normally have a good variety of plants and pretty flowers! They are currently have a HUGE SALE and many plants and fall flower pots 50% off.

    Mike (asst mgr) and Terri redeemed my previously terrible Lowe's experiences, offering fantastic customer service and empathetic care. I'm a bargain shopper that does extensive prep and research ahead of store visits. On July 5th, I was on a mission to buy a grill, desperate to re-enter my family's good graces from punting the task too long. I discovered 2 commercial grade Char-Broil floor models that weren't showing up online, retail $450 each. One had severe physical damage, the other was missing 2 ceramic grates and the lower right door. Opportunity was knocking. When I asked Terri if I can buy a floor model, she said it's not even showing up in their internal system so I'd need manager approval. Enter Mike! Me: "can I buy a floor model?" Mike: "sure" Me: "can I do the work of grabbing grates/door from the damaged grill and installing on this one?" Mike: "sure, I'll help you!" Me: "since it's a floor model that's seen wear, is it possible to receive a discount?" Mike: "you bet - how's say 40% off sound?" Even though I had to order the drip tray and ir grill scraper from Char-Broil's website, Mike and Terri helped our family celebrate July 4th (ish) in grand grilled food fashion while saving cash. A customer leaving with me even offered to help load the grill in my van; had to go back into Lowe's to borrow a screwdriver for removing the left counter section so it would fit.

    Not so much.  No answers when calling.

    Ugh. Not improved one bit. Is there a zero star option? First, this was an online order. And the site stated there may be a small delay in gathering the stuff; no problem, I wasn't working the project immediately anyway. Six days later, I got notification it was ready for pick up. Tried using the curbside pick-up. The number once transferred rang unanswered looping back to the menu eventually. I repeated this several times using the option 2 as told on the recording and also using the sequence described on the sign. Neither worked any better. And I am suspect that is often the case judging from no one else in the curbside spots still with the cars. I gave up and went inside. There is no effective social distancing; the typical door monitor was a vacant post and the store was very full. The staff... more than half were not masked or had the mask under their chins. Customer service desk looked up my order and curtly told me it was ready at lawn and garden. Lawn and garden's first response was telling me I needed to go to customer service because they had no orders. Looking at my papers, she then asked if I had paid ... DUH,,, lady you are holding the receipt for the online order. After about 20 minutes, she returned stating they'd be right up (translation is another 15 minutes). My guess is the stuff was never pulled. Eventually the forklift brought a pallet up and loaded it. After all this, and trying to keep all the engagements light hearted, I got home to find they'd shorted me on the pavers. I know I should go back and get a refund or the pavers. But for $5, I don't think its worth the time or aggrevation of dealing with that branch again. 0 stars - customer service 0 stars - social distancing/COVID protection 0 stars - response time 0 stars - ability to count 4 stars - price

    A 5 star experience for a recent Mother's Day arrangement of flowers…read more There is no day like Mother's Day and making it special for Mom. So the idea of a permanent planted arrangement seemed like something perfect for the patio. McDonald's was contacted over the phone a week + out before Mother's Day. I worked with Patrice who emailed different ideas they could do from pots to plants etc. He was so passionate about his trade and left me even more excited that he alone would be the point. Ultimately hydrangeas was chosen as the plant with sweet potatoes. They had many pots to choose from, but a more neutral with a butterfly seemed perfect. The cost was $97. Patrice assured that the plant would be watered and ready for pick up days before Mother's Day. On Saturday I went to McDonald's and after locating Patrice he rolled the plant out. I must say I was overwhelmed with the size. It was huge and gorgeous! Patrice did a video of care instructions as he took ownership of seeing everything through. He also at no charge through in a ceramic tray to hep with transport, but also for any leakage of water with a weep hole at the bottom. The delivery was marvelous and enjoyed by Mom. I cannot say enough positive about this experience. Other staff assisted me and were helpful and enthusiastic about their job. You just don't see this in other big box places ole Lowes and Home Depot. McDonald's is a one stop locally owned since 1947 garden center. They can do it all and the visit is impressive to see the selections. Highly recommend.

And they do quiet a few so keep an eye out for those since the do child and adult events. It was well organized and set up and I just love the indoor area with the carnivorous and house plants.

    I came into Southern States with to find out what bug was eating my lemon tree and they helped me…read moreout immediately. I never did catch the name of the gentleman that assisted me out but he told me to try what I have at home first (as not to waste money) which is Neem Oil and if that didn't work, come back and he'd guide me to the best products. I also wanted to purchase some diatomaceous earth but they were completely sold out. That was ok as I was told they would get a shipment first thing tomorrow...so today I'll head on back. Just in case you didn't know...it's a store that specializes in lawn, garden, cattle, horse, livestock and pets. Unless I'm mistaken, they also groom dogs...but I'll check up on that when I pick up my dicatomaceous earth. It also sells bird seed cheaper than any place I've found. Very knowledgeable and super friendly staff and business.

And in the mix of…read morepicking 'em up, I picked up the wrong vegetables, so the next day, I go back to try to exchange them to get the correct vegetables and I was told by the manager that they don't do that. My only problem really is that I have a product that I cannot use. And will not use, but if losing a customer over $4 is your way of doing business. I'm sorry for you but I will not ever ever patronized at this store. I know that I made the mistake but not being able to correct. It doesn't make sense to me mind you. There are several signs in the store that says discounted items or marked down items are not refundable. But there's nothing in the store. Nor on my receipt that says that my item cannot be returned.
