I shop at Lowe's Garden Center. They have an amazing selection of indoor and outdoor plants, soil, fertilizer and so many different brands and colors of mulch to choose from! I have definitely enjoyed the Scott's Mulch and Miracle Grow soil 5 for $10! Amazing! If you shop during the week, you will not have to fight the weekend crowds. They have a wide variety of edging and pavers that were perfect for our garden design! And for the days that you are short on time... you can order ahead and have your order delivered to your vehicle! So convenient! read more

Make the 40 mile round trip and shop at Home Depot instead! I've had a lousy experience 90% of the times I've dealt with this store since it first opened. I've filled out numerous requests for reviews they email after the purchase and detailed the piss poor service and things have only gotten worse over time! My son & I spent 2 hours recently trying to get help purchasing a product in electrical - 4 trips to the customer service counter and every person that came to help locate the product they had in back stock (I learned this from a prior trip that was also a waste of time until I practically had to beg the guy to go check). I ordered a refrigerator. They told me it would take a week to deliver which is fine. I received texts saying it would be delivered today from 11:30-2:30. I took a half day off from work and it was not delivered. Murphy store will not answer their phone. I finally got a call saying that they can't fulfill the order because they can't find this fridge anymore. Mind you, payment has cleared my financial institution but they say they can't issue a refund at this time. I'm currently on hold with corporate who say they will issue a refund in the form of a Lowe's card. No way! They have my money, I have no fridge, and they expect to give me a card I would have to use there. No thanks! read more

I tried calling this store for a second time Months apart looking for a specific item to see if it was a stocked item before driving all the way down there called 4 or 5 times with no answer so I tried to get a operator to answer and also a manager and still Not 1 person answered any of the departments I called. so I went to store anyway walked in Commercial sales and there was 5 employees all huddled around Commercial sales desk talking real loud watching Videos on the computer. no greeting or acknowledging I was there. went to The Department and from the store tried to call again just to see and still no answer. I gave them 1 star because zero was not an option. I ordered an item online that showed it was available in the store. After the order was place, I got a message that it would be a couple of days before the item was delivered to the store. A little while later I got another message that it was "Delayed" with no further information about when I could expect it. When I finally called customer service (first the main customer service and then the in store customer service) no one could tell me when I would receive my item. Everyone connected with Lowes with whom I spoke acted like they truly didn't care about the issue or advising me as to when the item would be available. I highly recommend that you avoid Lowes because they clearly don't care if customers ever actually receive what they have ordered. read more

Most chain stores get high marks unless something goes horribly wrong. Here, everything was fine. The store is well-stocked, the cashier was friendly. They maybe could use more folks on the sales floor but it was Monday afternoon, so maybe they don't need too many. All-in-all, it was fine. read more

Lowes store is nice but never and I repeat never have something delivered from them. My wife and I ordered windows for home remodel and spent of 9000$, lowes called said it would be delivered between 2 and 6 pm. I waited and nothing so called and said they had trucks that broke down, but they didn't bother calling people to let them know not to waste their afternoon waiting for a delivery that would never show up. So instead of rescheduling for the same week they made us wait until the following week. They gave me a time of between 12 and 4 and guess what no windows. Just called them at 4:45 and they are not sure why my windows have not been delivered yet. And the stove we ordered they gave a window time of delivery of 8am to 8pm, 12hours they want someone to wait around 12hours and hope their stuff gets delivered. This is the most helpful Lowe's I have ever stepped foot in. The empoyees here take pride in their job and actually do more then I would have expected. I am utterly broken-hearted with my Lowe's (Murphy, NC) experience. Paid $6600 back in October 2020 for windows that were installed incorrectly. It is now May 2021 and I still have windows that are not flush with the house and will not open or close! They sent their own inspector MONTHS AGO that agreed all windows were installed incorrectly and need to be replaced. Despite this, I have had no response from Lowe's. I go into the store, I call head office, I call Cathy Vogt (my Lowe's salesperson), I've called and emailed district manager Josh Morgan every day for 4 months and NOTHING. Nothing at all. What a terrible way to treat a customer that just spent $63k with your store. I used Lowe's for my entire home remodel (New floors, cabinets, countertops, gutters, patio rebuild, all new appliances, backsplash, HVAC, everything - I was such a happy customer until this nightmare! read more

This place truly sucks! I went into the lumber area and there wasn't a cart available. I had to walk out to the parking lot to retrieve a cart. I grabbed a cart since I was closer to the main entrance than the Lumber entrance I decided to tell the manager. Instead of the manager taking care of the issue he argued and belittled me through the store to the drywall section. You would think his lazy self would go out and bring some carts in. The whole time he let me know how it was my fault that his store had a problem. Thank God the staff doesn't follow the actions of the poor management in this location. read more

Extremely disappointed with customer service today by an assistant manager named "zach". That young man needs to realize that policy is not always the best way. So he wouldn't take a lousy $30 return back that was not damaged and barely opened because my cc number had been changed because it was lost. He argued with me. Ran away into his break room and told me to leave the store. Well I left drove to blue ridge Home Depot. Spent $1600 on a refrigerator and some wood and I won't be back. Normally I have a good experience at this store. Not sure if his "assistant manager" title has gone to his head. I know someone that works at that store and I asked. He told me yes it has. I've had two deliveries delayed and totally messed up. First was a John Deer yard cart that was in addition to a $2,000 JD mower that was supposed to be assembled. It was delivered partially assembled and when I tried to complete assembly, the parts to complete were not even included. It took another entire week to get an assembled delivered. They had every excuse to give me. Finally I threatened to dispute the mower purchase until they corrected it. Manager appears to be unaware what's going on in his store. Second issue is ongoing. Ordered two doors. Took a couple of weeks for them to be ready with the first delivery date July 1, 2020. Day came and went with no delivery. Called the store and after three hang ups, got a young man on the phone. He resubmitted the order and got a July 3, 2020 delivery date. Assured me they would be here today. Here I sit at 7:18 and still no contact or call about delivery. Called the store, three more hang ups and finally I got just frustrated and quit. I'll call corporate customer service to see if I can get an actual delivery date. BTW, delivery cost an additional $89. Really poor customer service from this Murphy, NC Lowes. Buy elsewhere if you can. read more

AWFUL! Got a phone call 4 days before washer and dryer delivery to confirm we would be in town for the delivery. We said yes. Drove 9 hrs from FL to NC for the delivery. Called the morning of the delivery for a window of time. Was told 12-4. Called at 3:30 to confirm the delivery. Was told that the order was messed up, the washer was in, but not the dryer. Our order was canceled the day before, and someone should have called us, but did not. 9 hr drive for nothing and the assistant mgr could say nothing, except sorry. I was given several reasons, but after telling them that their policy doesn't state any of their reasons they decided to just say no! Help cannot be found in this store. I went last Tuesday to get plumbing supplies and not once was I asked if I needed help. I proceeded to get my things and had my buggy loaded down when I came upon an item that I couldn't find. I walked to the flooring section without seeing an employee so I turned around and went to the lumber dept. and only saw two employees behind the Pro Services counter so I went there and asked for help. They called over the intercom for assistance and 30 minutes later I still had no help. At this point I decided to leave but first I wanted to talk to the store manager. Nope! He was in a meeting and so I told the employee at the service desk my dilemma and she said that the message would be passed on. But with her lack of concern, I bet my problem ended there. It seems as if the idle guys from the Pro Services desk or the lady from the service desk would have been inclined to walk back with me to find someone that could help. While I was in the parking lot I called the corporate number and told them my experience and once again they failed. I was told a manager would call within 24 hrs., which they did, but it was from a totally different location down in Moultrie, Ga. read more

However, Travis from the Lowes management team stepped in and within two days the appliance was installed to our great satisfaction - a big thanks to Travis. I'm sorry to say that Lowes in Murphy NC, has the worst customer service we have ever experienced. We ordered over $4000 in kitchen appliances and waited for a call in regard to a whole kitchen redo,all new cupboards, to measure for the new cupboards & etc. They couldn't find the time to call to set up an apt, we called and waited on hold for 35 minutes,, finally told the operator our message, which by that time was "to cancel the complete order." The sales people are not very motivated to wait on people. They must not need the business in this area. We had wonderful experiences in Florida with Lowes, not so much here. read more

Lowes Does Not Honor Its Word. We bought a Kitchenaid dishwasher from them and, of course, it waited until it was out of warranty to break. The fact that Kitchenaid made cheesy plastic drawer slides that break easily is not my complaint. We paid to have Lowes ship us a new drawer slide assembly, this time made of metal. Well, the parts came and the instructions turned out to be unintelligible, with muddy-looking photos that were impossible to go by. We had spoken earlier, when ordering, to a rep at Lowes, who had told us that, if we had trouble with the installation, they would send someone out to install it. Now, they are reneging on that promise. They refuse to help and now we are stuck and have to hire someone to come out. We had shopped online at this store for a new toilet. Because they had our selection in stock we went to the store to check it out before purchasing. We waited at the department desk for more than 10 minutes before someone asked if we needed help. Then, she called someone to help. He was pleasant, but obviously inexperienced and had a terrible cold and was unable to answer some of our questions regarding installation and delivery...he left us for several minutes and then returned with answers so we told him to make the sale. For more than 25 minutes he struggled to enter the information correctly. Twice the lady came by and asked if he needed help. The second time, the salesman asked her to delete what was in the computer and for her to complete the sale. Instead of her completing the sale, she gave him advice but said to him: I'm not coming close to you because of your cold. Then, she smiled at me and walked away. So, I waited and waited. The salesman asked for my info a second time, then left to ask another salesman questions, then came back with a stack of papers from the printer. He then sorted them (trashing the majority) then had me sign some documents and directed me to checkout. His parting words were a "thank you" and said: "I'm faxing the order for installation now, you should hear directly from the installer within 48 hours! This afternoon, almost 76 hours after purchase, I called installation services and was told they had just gotten notice from the store and would have an installer call to set up an appt. with us within the next 3 days. He apologized for the delay and said he didn't know why he had just received the order and would mark my installation as a "high priority." Total lack of training for the salesperson and terrible lack of concern by the saleslady who appeared to be in charge. If I was their supervisor, I would have sent the young man home until his cold subsided and would have fired the saleslady on the spot for total disregard for the customer. read more
