Tried to buy a golf cart for $12,995. We were told they would deliver it. Next morning we went to the bank. Then to Lowes with $13,000.00 in cash. We then were told they would NOT deliver it. ( It is 6 miles beyond their delivery area. Another manager said they would not deliver it because it has a battery. Needless to say we told them where they could keep it. We have not shopped there nor do we ever intend to shop Lowes again ever. Too many other places to shop, without having to kiss them to make a $13,000.00 sale. read more

Not sure why all the "Negativity" - I was pleasantly pleased with my visit. "Propane Dude" was very Helpful & my Cashier - "Allison" was extremely sweet and very pleasant. I enjoyed my visit. Store was very well stocked. I come to shop in Delaware - You know why? ;-) Tax Free Shopping! Definitely bought some things that I didn't need to buy; But - Overall this was a very pleasant experience. The Store is very busy - at least it was on a Saturday - Plenty of Staff roaming around and they are pleasant and willing to help out. A lot nicer than the "Northern Delaware" locations. This store has really gone downhill. employees clueless on what they sell, where things are located and have no interest in helping you. Today they offered free flag to first 50 people who came in store starting 10:00. My husband was there at 9:59. no one had any ideas about promotion, manage came over and send they were swamped and gone. hum 1 minute before promotion started, no one shopping had a flag either. I ordered shades for my sliding glass door in my family room at the Lowe's in Middletown, De. in mid December of 2024. I told the employee that the door slid from right to left, however, she ordered it from left to right. Strike 1. Then I understood the style I picked out was out of stock. Strike 2. I had to make another trip to Lowe's and pick out another shade. I showed the employee the shade and selected the color and valance that came with the package. Shortly after, I received a phone call from the manufacturer telling me that this shade was unable to be made because the shade could not be cut in half. I instructed her that I had never ordered a split valance. Strike 3. Once again I made sure that the employee knew what I wanted and the order went through and the manufacturer called and said they were in stock and would be arriving between February 17th- through the 21st. They arrived a few days earlier and the installer came, which I had to pay an extra fee for this service. After these shades were hung, I told the installer that these were not the shades that I ordered. Strike 4. This time I called the manufacturer company and she did find the mistake. She did say it was the wrong type of shade that I had ordered. My order was bamboo with stripes coming down from the panels. These were just plain shades. They offered to take the present shades down and reorder the correct ones. I was so frustrated at this point that I did not want to work with Lowe's any longer. I was given a $50.00 gift card for all these mistakes. These blinds were not cheap, but they are not worth the price I paid. Another problem with this location of Lowe's is poor management of trying to get an employee from a department to answer the phone. After 11 years of living in this area, Lowe's has really gone down hill. Maybe they should look into getting a new manager. Employees no longer seem to be happy anymore. I think they are overworked due to a shortage of man power. This will be my last time I walk into that Lowe's store. read more

This store is going the way of thanking their customers by not having a cashier at check out. And this is why I only come here when I need to....ACE Hardware or Amazon. Go to one of those and not Lowes. Better customer service at ACE Hardware and they respect customers by having a real cashier. Amazon if you know what you want. Service at this store is terrible. I ordered a refrigerator on 4/8. It was supposed to be delivered on 5/4. I received a call the day before from someone whol barely spoke English advising that they needed to change delivery to 5/7. They advised they would deliver in the am. It is now 11am on 5/7. Finally got thru to automated delivery confirmation that now says delivery will be Saturday 5/11 . No notice of this change was given and no one answers phone at this store. They let phone ring forever then pick up and hang up. This stinks!!!! read more

We spent a solid 30 minutes discussing washers, dryers, and fridges with Rich O. in the Appliances Department yesterday. Rich was thorough, pleasant, insightful, and best of all, he had a great sense of humor. Thanks to Rich's expertise, we picked out a Maytag washer and dryer set. I'm so excited to play with my new toys. We were so blown away by our interaction with Rich that we asked if we could seek him out when we return in about 30 days to pick out a fridge. I usually choose Lowe's over Home Depot however I had to but a lot of electrical components and when through the self check out only to find that Lowe's has no bags so I'm supposed carry 30 plus items in my arms. No I left them in the cart and went to Home Depot where they helped bag them and the cost was actually less. Looks like Home Depot as the small things such as having bags to carry your purchase in is a big advantage. read more

My husband and 14 month old boy went to get supplies for our new home, and the customer service was TERRIBLE! With a full cart of supplies my husband asked for assistance in the pipe/plumbing area. The cashier said he'd page someone to help, 10 minutes go by and my husband asks again ... the guy says he will get to it. After 20 minutes of waiting for help, and now a fussy baby, my husband asks the same guy if someone was coming to help since he's been waiting and this was the third attempt. The man replies, "That's not my job!". So my husband leaves the full cart of supplies and said "I'll take my business to Home Depot then" and walked out. My husband said he'd never go back to Lowes because this isn't the first time we've experienced bad customer service. We are now going to go to Home Depot from now on, they have people just waiting around to help! read more

I am having a horrible experience with This storage. I ordered a dryer and arranged for the store to deliver. I took off work the day delivery was scheduled. The third party delivery driver refused to deliver the unit - he didn't want to drive that far. Management and Corporate have been less than helpful. They do not call you back when they say they will. When you do speak with someone they provide conflicting answers. I'm being told it will be another 7-10 days. Keep in mind - I already paid for this dryer. read more

This review is for the delivery service Lowes uses, XPO logistics. They are a worthless company who wouldn't be able to handle a pizza delivery, let alone a riding mower. Still waiting for our delivery since yesterday afternoon. Many phone calls and texts, promising new delivery times. All lies. We were charged for the mower, but nothing to show for it. This reflects very poorly on Lowes as well. May be taking our business elsewhere because of all of this. read more

Ordered something online for pick up at this store because it was the only Lowe's who had it. Got email stating it was ready for pick up. Drove all the way from Wilmington to get it only to find out they didn't have it. Also could not credit our charge card and had to issue us a gift card for the amount they charged us. Really? I agree with the other comment on how horrible the installer company that the Middletown, DE Lowes uses. They don't call or return calls and their voicemail box is always full. Also, if you disagree on anything with the installing Company, Lowes does not support you at all. If you call the Lowes custom installation group that is supposed to be an intermediary between the customer and the installing company, they are of little if any help. You will get a different person every single time you call Lowes. They then have to re-read all of the notes and they may or may not understand the issue. In addition, if the customer rep needs to contact the installer, they can' get ahold of the installer (see above) so the rep will send an email or leave a voicemail (if they can) with the installer. The Lowes customer rep will then state they will call you back when they hear from the installer. Don't hold your breath because they will not call you back. I don't think Lowes deserves even 1 star at least as it relates to installation services. If you Never use the installation services, then the store itself may not be so bad. Just be warned about their terrible customer service or rather lack thereof related to installations. read more

I use Lowe's pretty regularly in Middletown and it is a solid place to buy things for your home for the most part. I find Lowe's to be a bit difficult to navigate in terms of its organization. This is a corporate rather than a specific complaint about Lowe's Middletown. Plenty of parking and friendly staff. Extremely well stocked. read more

Pure misery, With the exception of the electrical and plumbing guys we dealt with. Wish I could remember his name but the electrical guy must have spent half hour to 45 minutes helping us get parts for our project. All the while helping other customers with their projects at the same time. Everyone else that we encountered was just as miserable and unhappy as could be. Right down to the customer service rep that we dealt with when we first walked in and returned items, to the self checkout women. Personally I would rather go to the one in Wilmington off of Rt 13 than the one 5 miles from our house. This store used to be our favorite Lowes. Don't know what happened but it sure is a miserable place in there. read more

I went in the Middletown DE location and I purchased a washer and dryer set. Before I purchased the washer and dryer I asked the sales associate if the delivery/installation person would have protected gear because of the Corvid-19 pandemic and the rep assured me he would. I made it clear I didnt want anyone in my home during this time but I needed the washer and dryer. When Expo (3rd party delivery company) called yesterday to confirm the delivery I waited on hold to speak with a rep, she asked me a few questions such as has anybody been quarantine, fever, cough or anything I told her no and she said you are clear for installation. I then asked would the driver/installer have protective gear she assure me and advised if they do not then I need to contact their office. Today I received the call from the driver to advise he was 15 mins away I asked if he had protective gear and his response was "What?" They pull up in a third party rental truck with street close (shorts and T-shirt) no gloves , no face mask, no shoe booties. Because I was working from home and I was trying to multi task this person came into my house with no protection. I told them they need to have protected gear but at this point these men had been in my house and if they are sick with anything it was now in my house. When I realized that they didn't have anything on their feet I told them to take the washer and dryer to my garage. It is quite clear that Expo use day labor or temp labor to deliver which would be fine if they were to give them the protective gear that is needed in these time. I call both Lowe's corp and Expo and was told I cant speak to a supervisor because of the pandemic. So basically I was told yes so the sale could be completed and once that was done now no one wants to take responsibility for the liars, disrespect, unprofessionalism, and irresponsibility of the actions and the delivery. So now I have spent over $1300 for a washer and dryer to sit in my garage as well have maybe even exposed myself and home to the Corvid virus. All this news to be safe but its clear that Lowe's could careless just looking to get a sale. Too boot my friend as well had a delivery in NY from Lowe's via Expo nd the something happen, so it goes to show this is a common practice with Lowe's. read more

I ordered a entry door on 05/02/2017, and a storm door a few days later. Today is 06/01/2017 and I have still not heard from the installer regarding a date to install either doors. I have called Lowes two weeks in a row to find out why I have not received a date to install. I have been met with nothing but lies. All staff I spoke with stated that I should hear from the installer any day now. I guess that means I will hear from them one day, just not today, tomorrow, next week or the week after that. Still no call from anyone. I called again today, only to still not know when my door will be installed. The time span would not be a problem if I just could get a date. And to think I was going to use their installers to do my fencing, It would take a year to schedule at this rate. This has been my worse experience ever and I will never use Lowes for installation of any type of products again! read more
