Yet I was given a delivery date paid for yard tilling and then nothing was delivered. Then they tried the bait and switch by sending me an inferior product that I did not order with an expected delivery date a month later. We ordered a washer and dryer and when We called to have it delivered they said the washing machine wasn't there. I advised them they said they had sat the two a side and they called back saying they had them. The next morning I got a text saying they didn't have one of my appliances and they refunded my money. I called again and after an hour the manager advised we have them both and charged my credit card for the third time. They then delivered one the next day and the other one two days later. (crazy) . They are some of the most incompetent managers you can deal with. I will never buy another appliance from them . read more

Went to return a defective product unfortunately I did not have the receipt I believe it was in the back we threw out I purchased the item worth $13 with a gift card so they did not have any record of the purchase . Customer service person hope said new policy no credit even though the product is in stock in the store without receipt or record of purchase . She wouldn't get a manager and I walked out without product or credit bah humbug ! Even Walmart gives you store credit if you lost the receipt for an in stock product come on Lowe's you can do better . Very very disappointed in Luke and the store management ! read more

First time going to this location and most likely last. Our cashier (who was extremely nice) had to ask for help of the head cashier, Derika, and I can't even believe someone with zero human skills would be allowed to be called head of anything. I was treated poorly by her, asking me to stop talking multiple times when I wasn't even talking to her, and to make matters worse, she seemed like she was training someone. A person who doesn't know how to treat customers shouldn't be training anyone at all. I left the store in utter shock about the treatment I received. So, if do need to go to that store, make sure to keep you keep your mouth shut, or she will 'politely' tell you to shut up. read more

Home repair stuff As a new homeowner, you get to see just how much crap you have to buy in order to keep said home humming along nicely. Having lived in apartments for a very long time, I sold off or lost many of the tools and things I had gotten over the years, so you can pretty much say I am in Lowes a few times a week now. Like the competition, Lowes has all the home items you need arranged by subject matter: Plumbing, paint etc and the really neat thing is that the folks working here are all very helpful. Prices are hit or miss when comparing to Home Depot - so you definitely want to do a little comparison shopping between both options to get the best deal. I feel that overall, Lowes has more of the items I am looking for on a consistent basis. They also have some decent customer service folks. I have ordered a few things to pick up and they typically call me within 30 minutes after placing the order online to tell me it is ready to roll. Home Depot totally screwed the pooch on an order I had placed and Lowes saved the day with the same item, $20 cheaper. Nice. Get yourself in there and start getting those home project done! Went in this evening at 7:45 pm to buy a charcoal grill that online said they had 5 in stock. When I couldn't locate it, I went to customer service where there was an older man with white hair working along with a woman. I asked the man where the location of the item would be and he quickly dismissed me and said what they had was on the floor. I kindly told him that I couldn't see it and he rudely waved his hand and said well whatever we have is there. When I returned home I called the store and the same man answered the phone at the customer service desk and told me the item was in stock and they had some-not necessarily on the floor. So this idiot made me waste a trip to the store, couldn't be bothered to help me the first time. Sorry Lowes, I'm Home Depot bound thanks to your idiot employee. I contracted with Lowes of Lynchburg to have a fence installed. Payment was expected at time of order. Installation was scheduled for 3 weeks later and I was told it was a 3 day project. Lowes ordered the wrong gate 3 times which caused the job to take 5 weeks to complete. The wrong caps were put on the fence posts.The installer they sent was very unprofessional and not knowledgeable for the job he was sent to do. Numerous calls to Lowes resulted in no response. I filed a complaint with CPO which escalated 3 times with no response. I am now awaiting a call concerning compensation. Their first offer amounted to a 5% refund. NOT ACCEPTABLE!!!! read more

LOWE'S has a great selection in every department. The outdoor garden area is where I spend most of my time and money. I always check out the distressed plants that are 50-75% off. With a little TLC these plants turn out beautiful. Also Lowe's guarantees their plants for 1 year. I have purchased carpet and Lowe's installed it. They did a great job and took the old carpet and padding with them. The best thing is with my Lowe's card I got 5% off or 12 months interest free. I have built 2 homes shopping only at Lowe's and saved a ton of money. Plus the staff are very friendly and full of knowledge. This is one on my favorite places to shop. read more

I was at Lowe's on 11/23/17 there was discontinued deawalt 8 volt screwdriver in clearance section in tool eara with out a price and I asked the sales associate for the price and he went and got the manager he said 50.00 then said to make an offer so I said I would do 40.00 then he said 45.00 was the lowest he could do I said I would think about it and offered to put it back on the shelf and he said that if I didn't want it he was going to buy it for 40.00 and put it beside the computer. MOST of the staff is unknowledgeable and unwilling to assist with questions. MOST run the opposite direction if they think you may be approaching with a question. Many things we've gone looking for in the last 3 months are consistently out of stock, not in the locations the website (store diagram) says they should be. Paint associates have no clue what they're doing and aren't helpful at all. One man who works Paint is knowledgeable, but no one else. Mark in Appliances is great and super helpful. We have started frequenting other Lowes location b/c of the lack of help offered in this particular store. read more

Ten days before surgery, I purchased a right height toilet with delivery and installation. When no one called to schedule the installation by 5 days before, I called the customer service number. After putting me on hold, I was told that the manager on duty (whose name was Jake) would call me that afternoon and an installer would call to schedule a time. No one ever called. After my surgery, my son took my receipt in and got a refund. Not even an apology!!! I'll be shopping somewhere else from now on. read more

I always use lowes because of their quality of products but today I was ashamed of their personnel. There was an old lady who used 2 canes to walk and could barely move. She and her elderly husband were trying to get the wheelchair to work but it was not working. I went inside and told the lady at customer service. I was told they would help and informed the couple of this. I went got my items checked out and the couple was still waiting in the cold entrance for help. I approached the customer service person again and was told she would get to it when she had the chance. There were no customers at the desk so I don't know was so important but I told her she should look at her job description, it says customer service not service when I feel like it. First I would mention the outlandish interest to have a store card! However nothing compares to the incident that took place May 25, 2018. I was picking up a few things and as I turned to go down the aisle there was a pallet of laminate right as you turn, my basket sort of made it, my body did not I tripped on this pallet placed at the end of an aisle where the basket prohibits me from seeing it. 3 employees who watched me go down just stood there about 10 yards or so here I am and no one made a move. I am crying, unable to get up I finally called them to help me up only one young man came toward me and I could see he wasn't trained in safety and picking up someone off the floor. I had to tell him how to! The Blond woman employee continued to gawk and then turned away! Yep, no training or just a lazy employee who felt it would be too much trouble to help me up. This incident left me angry. I believe they were more concerned about the bottom line then my injury. Because of this I am now laid up for a while and possible surgery. No one asked if I needed an ambulance just a chair and I had to ask for help with my purchase to the car. We are all amazed at this and the pain that ensued is just about the worst I have felt. We took pictures of the massive bruises 12x12 you have to see them to believe it. Lowes needs to do some safety training in all areas of safety! Shame on you! read more

Hello! What is wrong with the employees at this company? I have called two days in a row to see when my Washer and Dryer will be delivered. Called back again tonight and was told very curtly "you will get a call by 10 tonite (who sets up to get a call at 10 o'clock from Lowes?) if I did not get a call I could call at 6 am tomorrow and somebody will tell me. For the past several years this store has been in bad need of remodeling, cleaning, and general updating. It is the worst looking store in my area. I don't understand why they don't reinvest in their business. I gues they are too greety to do so! I never see an employee that looks like it could be the general manager of the store. Disappointing at best! We ordered laminate flooring and scheduled to have installed in our home. This process started in May 2017. We were trusting that hiring Lowes, they would send credible contractors into our home. That was definitely not the case. Our experience was so disturbing, I wouldn't want anyone to go through it. They sent a couple that was contracted through Service Pros (the subcontract company that Lowes contracted to do our small job.) The job was incredibly frustrating as the contractors didn't show up on time, were unprofessional, made us frightened to be in our own home. They extended the install from 2 days to a full 5 days to complete. The total flooring installed was about 375 feet of flooring. I was assured that after 2 days, if they could have one more day, they could complete the job. I had to take time off from work and the job was still not completed, as they shared a concerning story of how they could not afford to purchased the flooring nails needed to complete the job. The professionalism of the ones that came to our home was upsetting. They asked odd questions and made us uncomfortable in our own home. To make matters worse when we contacted the Lowes store, we were instructed to contact CPO for customer support. The CPO representative apologized for our experience and stated how they appreciated our reporting it. We were told that they would not compensate us for the extended time I was instructed to take off to complete the job (that didn't get completed) nor would they be able to do anything toward the experience we endured. Our flooring is still not right. We have a credible contractor looking in to what will have to be done to correct it. We are still awaiting CPO to contact us yet again. I would not recommend having anything installed by this company!! They do not care about their customers and they will send literally anyone to your home. The contractors that they sent to us were not background checked and as far as I am concerned, I could have hired a complete stranger to do the job myself. We trusted Lowes and I will not make that mistake again!! read more
