Do not trust their door or window sales department. Process took months, bad communication. They work with several third parties that add to communication problems. After months of delay, on the day of installation, we received a call informing us that they had ordered the wrong size door and needed to start over. Process to receive refund is cumbersome, even though we paid full price months in advance. I have no trust in the company and will look for local service providers in the future. read more

Five very big stars for the young man working in the appliance department - specifically refrigerators. I failed to get his name but he was extremely knowledgeable about products he was selling and the services provided. Never missed a beat when discussing pricing, delivery, dimensions of the product, etc. This young man should be given a lot of attention as he would be great for management consideration - personallity absolutely outstanding. A Lowes Home Improvement delivery truck from the Ludington store came to our real estate office to drop off some materials on August 4th, 2022. The delivery truck driver used a loader to move the materials off the truck and to the drop off location. The driver left huge craters and track marks in the asphalt from not using the loader correctly. Our driveway had recently been redone and was free of any scrapes or damage. I have attached pictures of said damage as well as the bid we received to fix the damage. I have contacted the Lowes in ludington where this order came from and have spoken with a manager named Shena. Her email is 723445@store.lowes.com. She told me that I would be contacted regarding this matter I have not. I have sent her emails with the photos and the bid for the damage. I have also called the Lowes 800 number and was referred back to Shena with my complaint. I was told yet again that I would be contacted and have not been. Lowes should be held responsible and should cover the cost of the damage. I do not think it is good business on their part to continue to push this matter to the side and give me the runaround. I have contacted the better business bureau and will follow up with an attorney next. read more

Bought 2000+ sq ft of carpet to be installed in my home. Installers, sent from over 2 hours away, worked a partial first day showing up at 11:30 am and then on day 2 walked off the job, taking all my carpet and padding with them. Has taken months, many un-returned phone calls, insufficient and unacceptable customer service to find my carpet, have it delivered and source a new installer to complete the job. Do not use Lowe's installers for any carpet installation and don't believe the promises of good service they claim. read more

At first I was so happy to see a good number of employees available around the store to help. The gentlemen who helped me pull and cut lumber was very kind and helpful. Everything was great until check out in lumber. When youve closed all but one human checkout lane, I don't think there's an excuse for having someone who 'isnt trained in this department' like the woman who rung me up, running the register alone. She didn't understand me when I told her my lumber had been cut so at first she scanned in double the amount of what I was purchasing. As many times as I tried to explain that despite there being 12 lengths of wood, I should only be charged for 6 lengths (cut in half to make 12) she didn't understand. I tried to show her that the screen read a line item that was 12' long and clearly I had a bunch of 6' pieces. Even the guy behind me in the checkout tried to help explain that she just needed to scan 6 times. In the end she still charged me for two additional lengths that I had to go to customer service to get refunded. I almost asked if they could page someone who knew what they were doing, at minimum I should have just given up and gone through self check out. Considering how many employees I saw at the store, someone else should have been running the single open manned check out. If she was in training someone should have been there with her. read more

Typically I like Lowe's and their products. This time, they messed up. Twice. We had Lowe's come out for a carpet measure - a very simple rectangular loft space. The carpet arrived and it was too short - by 5' (feet, not inches). They had already installed the padding and now we were a little stuck. We waited two days for the manager of the department (Ian) to call us with next steps. After no call, we called him. Repeatedly. It was like pulling teeth. After four days, we received the news that it would be six weeks for that carpet. Since this is a second-house renovation, we had limited time to get this done. We went up to Lowe's the following weekend and spoke to Ian and picked out a new carpet that was in stock. Again, two days went by because he could get ahold of the installer - only to be told they would have to come out and re-measure because of the pattern. The newly selected carpet had a one-inch square pattern - smaller pattern than the original carpet we chose. Huh? At that point, we gave up. We went to West Michigan Carpet who had stock and installed THE NEXT DAY. Sorry Lowe's. Do better. read more

I had 5 windows put in Feb. of '18. Happy with 4 of my windows. Having a BAD time getting someone to help me on one window. I made many calls to person who put them in. No Luck. He will not call me back. I called 4 times to the person that I should have called - not getting help. All I do is wait for a call back. I called this number 877-505-4923. Was told they never got my call. I tried today 6/21/18. Her mail box was full. No luck but I did call back later and did get someone who was going to help me. So far no call back from this person. Horrible customer service experience! While purchasing lumber for a deck, we discovered at check out many boards were wrongly placed with the boards we were buying and rang up much higher. My husband had to go remove these boards and look through the boards to find the correct ones. He then began loading the correct ones. While this was happening two associates came up with a hi-lo next to him and one sat and watched while the other stood and watched him. Never offering help. Then another customer began loading boards he needed and they continued to not offer help. After we paid and began loading them in our truck the cashier asked those same two associates to help us load them in the truck and they refused and walked away. Other customers noticed this and were appalled and offered to help. Common sense and decency should be characteristics of all Lowe's associates, not just the customers that patronize the store. read more
