Dropped by the Lowe's in Kokomo and this location continues to impress me every time. The staff here are genuinely helpful -- no wandering around trying to flag someone down because there's always someone nearby who actually knows their stuff. Whether I needed help in lumber, paint, or plumbing, I was able to get clear answers without the usual runaround you get at other big-box stores. The layout is clean and organized, which makes finding what you need pretty painless. Service from start to finish has been consistently smooth, and checkout is usually quick with enough lanes open to keep things moving. Restrooms are available and easy to spot, which is always appreciated in a store this size. Even during busier hours, the aisles don't feel cramped and inventory stays well stocked. The large parking lot makes getting in and out simple and stress-free. Overall, this Lowe's delivers solid customer service and a reliable shopping experience that keeps me coming back. This complaint is not about this location but the corporation. My granddaughter purchased a washer from them with the protection plan. The past couple months the washer has quit working 5 times. It's the same part. The last time it was replaced this morning and it quit working this afternoon (8/15/2025) She called the protection service requesting a replacement washer. They told her they could not replace it because "the tech has not told us it is unrepairable". They have replaced the same part 5 times and it still stopped working. I would like to know what their definition of unrepairable is. Will not buy another appliance from any Lowes again. They refuse to stand by their products they sell. read more

scheduled an appointment to get measurements for flooring. asked the project manager if his company allowed him to be in my house with no one home he said yes. so I told him no one would be home but he was welcome to go in and take measurements. he then told me that's not a problem he would be there in 20mins. the man canceled the appointment said no one was home no car no answer of the door lol what a joke of a "project manager" read more

Service is lousy! Sales staff must be knowledgeable about phones because they seem to be always on them. I was a faithful Lowes customer until today. I was assured the purchase would be picked up today for return...not happening. 9:30 and a no show! I will buy from anybody but Lowes after this disappointing adventure . No star rating for this but I'm forced to or not get posted! read more

Rude cashier! On 08-21-2024 at 3:35 pm the Cashier was very rude to me when I forgot something I needed just wanted to let management know not a happy experience read more

I feel sorry for the folks in Kokomo. No Home Depot and this small Lowes doesn't offer the selection as larger stores. In the evening, there are few workers to ask questions. I was looking for information regarding exterior doors and I swear the zombies came and took everyone. Another time, I was trying the help the cashier in making change (i had a few coins). She basically mocked me, which irritated me as I was only trying to help her. Basically, no good deed goes unpunished. Anyway, it's a Lowes, and if you're in Kokomo, you either drive to Westfield, Lafayette, or deal with it. Feel sorry for the locals. read more

This Low's is a beautiful store and the customer service is often pleasant, and now let's get down to the real deal of how well they do real business there. We spent $15,100.00 for hardwood flooring materials which included the cost also for Low's to install the flooring. We were promised a two day job completion. After waiting for the material to arrive we then had to wait for the material to sit in our newly purchased home for two weeks for the acclamation period to take place, after which the Low's installation crew showed up and not one of them spoke any English so we had to communicate by translating through our cell phones. We're paying Mortgage expenses right now for two houses and had been patiently waiting to complete this flooring project, therefore why would we turn the installation crew away, and even more importantly, why should I judge anyone based upon the fact that they speak a different language. After being present in the home during the entire two day process which was challenging because of the loud noise, the constant being cold because of the opening of my front door, having to wear a mask because of the dust and the glue they were using, among other things, But I endured because I felt it was all going to be well worth it because I believed I was going to have the beautifully and professionally installed hardwood floors I wanted and paid for. After two days and nights I was told by the installation crew's leader that the work was completed. As I looked over the supposedly completed work I pointed out the cracked and chipped pieces of wood in multiple areas of the five rooms, along with some pieces of wood that looked as if there were burns from cigarettes, there's other issues I could go into but it would take longer. I had to pushLow's to own accountable and finally an inspector from Low's came out who initially did not want to be held accountable until he began to really look at the work, and then decided for himself that I was right. The initial two day job to complete our hardwood floors project began March 13th 2023, and was supposed to be completed March 14th. After the inspectors report was filed, They ordered Four more box's of the hardwood flooring materials and also Low's had to order the transition strips which the installation crew left also uninstall. As of today, well over a month and a half after the work was promised to be completed. The Repair crew came today ready to repair what the installation crew messed up, And I was told that the entire flooring work has to be pulled up and redone.. WOW!! We were ready to move in, in three weeks. And I have yet to hear back from Low's Today! Which means I'm going to have to push them to once again be accountable.. Everything was set in place for us to transition from another state in three weeks, and now looks like we're still going to paying two mortgages and expenses in two states for at least hopefully just another 1 1/2 or two months. The repair crew left here today at 11 am telling me that Low's advised them that they (Low's) would be contacting me. It's now 1:37 pm and I haven't heard a peep from Low's yet.. I really thank God that I found out sooner then later about Low's because I almost hired them for our downstairs flooring, but I found GOOCH and Company here in Kokomo, They are Awesome ... Terrible. Because of a "system upgrade" my address was screwed up causing a delay in my delivery, that I took the day off for, that was not able to be fixed because the delivery drivers can't alter their schedule. So who knows when my order will get delivered? read more

I would like to report an excellent customer service experience I had today with Mike at the Kokomo Lowe's. I was having difficulty finding color match shingles for a minor roof repair. Mike went out of his way to find some spray paint and conducted an experiment there in the store to see if the shade could be slightly altered. The roof repair went well and I am thankful for Mike in the Lumber and Roofing department. read more

I'm never buying an appliance from Lowes again. We bought a dishwasher on Sunday. They said they would deliver it on Tuesday. That someone would call us on Monday evening to schedule a time. I asked when I bought it if that included installation. They said it did and 30 dollars to haul away the old one. Monday night, no one calls. No one. Tuesday some kid delivers the dishwasher. That's it. Delivered. No installation. When asked, he said someone else was coming to install. No one showed up. No one. Called Lowes. They don't answer for a long long time. When they do. They put us on hold and conveniently dropped the call. Called again. Long long time before answering and put on hold. Now they say that installation is extra. I told them, come get it and refund my money. We'll do our business with someone else for now on. I refuse to let businesses jerk me around. read more

Horrible. Ordered an item last week said be here on Monday. Called to find where it's at or when it will be in. The response I got was we don't know where it's at and it can show up anytime. Said it's been shipped coming from another store yet they have no clue of from where or when it will get to their store but will tell people it should be here today hopefully if not tomorrow. Worst customer service I've dealt with ever from a store. Apparently there is nothing they will do about it either. I can either cancel and get it from another place (yes lady literally told me that on phone) or I can wait and like it. Home Depot here I come. read more

Horrible service. We've had flooring, a door and fence repair through Lowes with no problem. However, getting siding repaired has taken 9 months after being told approximately 5/6 weeks from last August. After a few weeks I asked if we were looking at November and "crickets". No reply. After initially coming out in August and observing the color to match, I heard nothing through winter. In March I again contacted and had to set up a new appointment, but the salesman was on vacation. Middle of April, he contacts me to see if I'm looking for a new work order. What? I said we had a contract. He comes out a few days later and takes a piece of siding to have his "guy" match up the color. I thought he already did that back in August. A week later, I had heard nothing so I contacted him. No reply. Next day, I went into the store and talked to a manager and they sent me back to the salesman's assistant.  During my 3 day wait for the original guy to get my message through his assistant and call me, I found out that the job had not been booked according to the lady that handled complaints on the 800 Lowes site. Finally, he E-mails me and said they'd honor my contract from August but that it was only for the upper area of siding. We had asked for the whole side. We had discussed that the upper part had not been nailed correctly{spacing}, but we had told him we wanted the whole side done. Years earlier we had half of the opposite side of the house done and it looked horrible. There's no way we'd ever do that again. He just didn't listen. If they'd done the job last Fall, we'd have straightened everything out. The contract was bare bones and only listed the estimate and some materials needed. If it had said "partial side" I would have said something at the time. I have no idea how material is grouped. I'm done with Lowes Contracting. read more

Went in to buy cabinets and lady sitting at desk just ignored us. We are redoing our whole kitchen... cabinets, countertops, flooring and appliances... we originally went to menards but just wanted to get a price at Lowe's. Big loss of money Lowe's. The people at this store have always been wonderful when I've shopped there. Very professional and extremely helpful. Because of their behavior, I am a very loyal customer. Two things that I love about Lowes in general are the fact that they offer a Veterans discount (you must apply online with your DD-214), and I can bring my dogs shopping with me. read more

Doesn't surprise me to see all the horrible ratings. I live in Fishers and have at least 3 different Lowe's that would be closer to me, but for some reason they delivered my washer and dryer from this Kokomo location. Don't bother calling the appliance department at this location because they NEVER answer the phone. Each time I was clicked over to that department it just rang and rang. Also, if u call customer service, u will be on hold for at least an hour or longer. I bought a steam dryer. They were SUPPOSED to split my water line and run one line to the washer and the other to the dryer for the steam function. They hooked it up like a regular dryer with no water line. I am beyond tired of calling and being on hold for an hour or longer, and using their stupid live chat. The last 2 times I called customer service- I was told that someone would call me in 24 hours. I told them if no one calls I want someone to pick up this dryer and I want my money back. I'm over it. I would suggest not buying any appliances through Lowe's period- regardless of location. Their stores are only good for buying things u don't need installed. My parents ended up cancelling the washer and dryer they were buying from Lowe's because they could never get it delivered. They gave up- cancelled the order, and bought it from Best Buy. They live in Kentucky. I know someone in Ohio that also had issues. They were buying a refrigerator. Like I said- Lowe's seems to suck as a whole throughout the US. I will def never buy anything from Lowe's that needs installation again. read more

This store has the worst customer service I have ever experienced. My order was to be delivered on Monday. I had a confirmation email and 2 text messages with the date and the time being 8am-8pm. So I plan to be available for them to deliver the item. On the day it was to be delivered the store called to tell me that it wasn't even in stock and that they could not provide me with a date for it to be delivered. I asked if they could call one of the other stores and the women on the phone said she did not have time for that. I asked if they would call me back in a day or two to let me know when the date would be, she said "If she had time." So here it is a week later and no items and no one has communicated with me about the time or day for delivery. So I called the store and I was put on hold several times just for them to say "Sorry! We don't know when it will be in". So I look on line and it says it ready for delivery. Still have no idea when it will be delivered. Thanks Lowe's! Worst place to get anything or to have questions answered! Shop Menards, not here! **Update the GM called and said he was going to another store and pick the item and have it delivered tomorrow. We will see if this happens. ** read more

My experience with the Kokomo Lowe's store has been the worst. A year ago this month, I signed a contract for a new roof and new window. My roof went up right before our first snowfall. I didn't receive a call to even let me know when they would be there. I just came home from work to find them on the roof. I went inside and waited for them finish and come to the door. But no one came to the door. They just left. And as soon as the snow melted, I had a new leak. I did receive a call about when they would be replacing the window, but they never showed up and didn't call. A couple weeks later, they came to put in the window only they didn't call to let me know. Luckily my nephew was here to let them in, but the window didn't fit together right. So they had to order a new part. Several months later, they called to come fix the window, and they did fix part of it. But the other side was off as well, so another part was ordered. When they came to fix it, they realized it was the wrong part. Needless to say I am still waiting for the right part. I contacted corporate and was told senior management would be contacting me, but that never happened. read more

Our church ordered flooring for our parsonage and #loweslafayettein contracted with #ultimatehomeservices who spent two days removing carpet from the home, then tried to double the labor cost for the job, and now we are two weeks out and unable to get a resolution from either UHS or Lowes. This is quite disappointing; Lowes has violated the terms of their contract and is ultimately responsible for upholding what they quoted to us. read more

Went to get 40 6x6 blocks of plywood and was told they wouldn't be able to cut it square.

My husbands shops at Lowes on a regular basis. He likes the products, and the store itself. However, since he turned 55 and is a disabled Vet he has been asking for his military discount. It's no more than the employees get. Many of the cashiers are rude about applying it to his purchase. He has earned this benefit after 21 years in the military. Please speak with your cashiers about this. Thank You read more

4005 S Lafountain Kokomo, IN 46902 Get Directions Phone number (765) 453-1000 Business website lowes.com I love the Kokomo store ! The people there are friendly knowledgeable, and HELPFUL. I can always find someone who knows their products and can help with technical problems if needed. These people Care About Their Customers ! The Lowe's "Web-Site" is at the other extreme of my good feelings; Very poor description of hardware products. They do not give dimensions of bolts, eye bolts, material, and I REFUSE to buy anything without an adequate description. Website gets "Zero Stars". Example : An eye bolt is described as : (Mfg. Source) , 1/2-in to 13 x 6-in This eye bolt should be described as : 1/2-13 X 6" "SHANK LENGTH" of 4 In. What is the : "1/2-in to 13 x 6-in " ? This is the only place I ever saw the TPI (Threads Per Inch) as "to" ? I can deal with that, even though whoever wrote it knows very little about specifications. The BIG problem is : WHAT DOES THE 6 Inches refer to ? Shank length or overall length ? And, how big is the "Eye" on the Bolt ? Is the bolt welded or just 'Formed' ? Is the bolt 'Steel" ? Is the bolt 'Plated' ? If plated, what kind of plating is it ? Or, would I be buying a wooden eye bolt with an 'eye' 6 inches in diameter, and a 1/4 Inch shank. I know that is ridiculous, but then so is their website description. Kokomo Store gets "Four Stars", and I admit, if their website was even up to mediocre status, the Kokomo Store Would get a FIVE STAR RATING FROM ME. Sorry, but the very poor website drags down the Kokomo Store. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Here is a hint to Lowe's Website Programmers : Go Hire a Journeyman Machinist, and let him tell you how to write your Hardware and Tool descriptions. I am a retired Machinery Engineer, but I got my best Education in this area, from, Wait for it ... YES Experienced Journeymen Machinists ! read more

Went in on a Friday to schedule measuring and pick flooring. They were told I had a strict deadline and was reassured there'd be no issues and service would be prompt. Tuesday was the day the measuring was done. Was told I'd have a quote within two days. After 3 days I called since no one had contacted me. I was told they were behind schedule, the choices I made for the rooms I planned on having flooring installed there were some "tricky" issues with the quote. After speaking to 2 different people I was told they were working on it. Now, over a week and a half later, no one has called or anything. I ended up just canceling everything. Overall, absolutely horrible experience and seemingly incompetent staff members I dealt with. read more

absolutely the worst with an install i have ever had in my life. horrible follow up from managers when they were made aware of the problem. paid for measurements on a sliding door and they got the wrong size filled in the gap with pine boards and left them exposed to the elements on the outside of my house in december and the installer simply said its because i didnt pay for anything extra!!!! since december i have been calling the store and corporate trying to get this solved and no results. my screen door that was on back order was never brought out and installed either, they instead call me and tell me i can come pick it up. read more
