This review is about one employee, the clown Marty in Customer Service. He's one of the most unpleasant individuals I've ever experienced. He should be assigned to cleaning toilets and not in customer service. While waiting for a manager I saw this buffoon actually hang up on customers instead of answering the phone. So when you call this store and get disconnected this Bozo is the reason why. I returned a Toro mower. A female manager approved this return. Douche Marty got involved. He told me I had to remove the gas in the mower. He then tried to extort me to buy a gas can which I went and obtained. Upon returning he told me I could not pour the gas out, but I had to buy a pump,or he would not process my return. Off I go to get pump, which no one in the store can find. Upon returning to customer service I told Jack off Marty I wanted to speak to a manager. I hate doing the Karen thing but I felt this idiot was trying to make me buy unnecessary items. While waiting I saw clown boy hanging up on customers even when there was no customers at the counter. He was more busy playing with his greasy hair than helping customers. He even didn't have the decency to acknowledge a handicap co worker. While waiting for a manager, Ferrari helped me. He authored the return and actually completed the return. Thank you Ferrari and to the lady manager who originally helped me. read more

Time for a new smoker for our salmon and the one we had chosen, we were able to get delivered from Amazon.. we decided to see if Lowe's had it by chance... the salesman was very attentive and helpful and took us to another aisle that had some smokers still in the box rather than the barbecue area where everything was out... and the smoker we wanted was not there... but it was in the aisle where items were still boxed! This particular smoker we were looking for was $20 more at Lowe's and by chance I just asked if they would do a price match to Amazon's price .... He needed to check with his supervisor, Nick.. He was able to get him on the phone right away, and Nick told him as long as it was the same item and numbers matched up they could do the price match for us . Numbers match up the sales person helped us also look for another item we had been searching for and had a flatbed cart brought around to the aisle to take to the smoker to the checkout and made sure that there was a young man available to help load the smoker into the back of our car . All being said, we dealt with three or four different individuals through this transaction and everybody was behind kind, personable, and extremely helpful . It's wonderful to go into a store and not just have somebody point you to an aisle and walk away. Everyone went above and beyond helping us with hospitality and kindness . This is something we have found lacking lately and we're very appreciative to find this experience so good at Lowe's ! A big shout out and thank you !!! read more

East Knoxville Store #1544 My appliance purchase with East Knoxville Lowe's turned into a mess of unclear instructions, confusing online checkout, and poor subcontractor installation. The delivery team installed my new range with the wrong cord without telling us, which tripped the breaker and required an electrician. Haul‑away didn't happen, so I disposed of the old appliances myself, and I later had to hire someone to install the microwave. Billing was also confusing, with charges split across dates that no one explained. I'm not asking Lowe's for anything at this point -- I've fixed everything myself -- but this experience exposed major gaps in communication, installation oversight, and billing transparency. I wish I could give -10 stars! I attempted to come here to buy tile on January 19, 2026, and I swear I walked into a post apocalyptic wasteland! No employees to be found. Finally found one that appeared really out of it and on drugs or something??... She said she would call someone to help me. I am writing this review while I'm still standing here between aisle 42 and 44 staring at the tile, which I intended to spend thousands of dollars on, and still can't find anyone to help. I now just called the store number and spoke to someone who answered and asked them if I could get help back here and told them I've been looking for help and that someone told me they were going to call for it quite a while ago, and she hung up on me! This place is like a Ghost Town. No wonder Home Depot's aisles are always crowded. I predict Loase will not be in business much longer! I guess I will leave and go to an actual tile store with actual live people. Better yet, I'm tempted to hop on this forklift thing and go on a mad ride through the store because I'm sure no one would notice, and that sounds like fun, lol Heading back to Home Depot on my new forklift... Contractors don't show up Purchased a butcher block it came with residue stuck to the plastic spent $1200 had to spend another $300 out of pocket on top of that to have it restrained, cabinets came damaged they did replace but took a month on my kitchen remodel Contractors came in to install cabinets. They left without telling me. Went in to talk to the managers got my refund for that install. How do you have another contractor of my calling? Order Lost Again! I ordered two jetted tubs in November and 3 weeks later they have no idea where they are. I messaged online and they sent me a phone number. I called the number and they said it's only 3 days later, wait two more days and call back!!?? I asked if they had an estimated arrival date and they said no. Everytime I think I'm going to try going to Lowe's so I don't have to drive over to home Depot. I end up regretting it and wish I would have just drove over there. Home Depot is so much better. I would not go to this Lowe's. The employees are rude and walk around hating their job. Except for the nice man who cut the wood and the blonde girl who helped me at the register. Everyone else not so much! I'm working on art project and need 10 piece cut out of the wood. Well ended up with 1/2 one of the wood that I didn't need. After reciewing several window companies, I chose Lowes mistakenly thinking that a reputable company would be the way to go. Sales guy comes by and pressures me that the Pella window sale ends soon. I pay the $8k with an expectation of window arriving 5/4. It does not. I give them 2 weeks. Finally reach out bc I am more than perturbed. I'm told that while the window did arrive, it is missing somevparts for installation. Pella failed to record order or some such. Ok, they say it will be in 6/13. Ok, then it arrives. They say Incredible Installations will be in touch within next three days. Crickets. Oh, so sorry. It'll be next three days and escalated to mgt. Crickets. Finally, I say that the only way I will proceed is with a 25% discount bc I've incurred so many costs related to delay. They say...NOPE. Management won't approve. So I have cancelled and demanded no restocking fee, which Lowes was planning to implement. I will now plan to buy this custom made window for pennies on the dollar at my local store and have a local contractor install. STAY AWAY FROM LOWES FOR ANY INSTALLATION PROJECT. I purchased a washer/dryer combo from Lowe's to make life easier with a newborn. What followed has been a complete disaster. The first unit was damaged before delivery, and Lowe's reordered a new one, which was fine. However, when the replacement arrived, the delivery team refused to take it upstairs to the water hookups. Customer service confirmed this was against their policy, so after days of waiting with the unit in our living room--and relying on neighbors to do laundry--Lowe's sent a second delivery team. That team had no issue taking it upstairs and even noted there was no reason the first team couldn't have done it. Once installed, we discovered the machine wasn't drying clothes at all. After running it for 8.5 hours, clothes weren't damp--they were soaked. I called Lowe's within 18 hours of delivery to report the issue, expecting them to honor their policy of replacing defective appliances within 48 hours. Instead, they told me to contact the manufacturer. The manufacturer sent a repairman days later, who confirmed the issue was severe and not easily fixable. With this report, I returned to Lowe's, expecting an exchange. Initially, customer service approved the exchange and promised the local store would contact me within 24 hours. They never called. I called over 30 hours later, only to be ignored for 2.5 hours! WORK AVOIDANCE everywhere! no one wanted to deal with my situation! it's just a simple exchange within my 48 hour window! After the 2.5 hours on the phone and finally they hung up on me without saying anything, i went straight from my phone to the local store, only to be told they couldn't help because I purchased it online. The store provided a number to call for assistance, but the representative I reached said they couldn't authorize an exchange without an RA number from the manufacturer. When I called the manufacturer, they refused to issue an RA number, stating Lowe's should handle the replacement since I reported the issue within their 48-hour policy. For two weeks now, I've been caught in a loop of calls between Lowe's and the manufacturer, with neither taking responsibility. Meanwhile, I've been without a functioning washer/dryer, despite spending over $2K for what was supposed to be a convenient solution. Every call, chat, and repair report has been documented, and my lawyer is confident in the case I have against Lowe's. This could've been resolved so easily, but instead, it has turned into a prolonged and unnecessary ordeal. It just sounds like work avoidance to me. Lowe's, this is your chance to make things right. I just want the working machine I paid for. Please step up and resolve this immediately. read more

Lowes has always been my go-to store for supplies. I was at the Lowe's at 3100 S Mall Rd NE Knoxville, Tn. I wanted the Aquafina water with the blue cap, found 4 cases wanted more but I didn't feel like walking all over the store after walking looking for an associate, none to be found, finally an associate ground guarding another associate on a forklift came down another aisle, for some reason the aisle I needed to go down was blocked on both sides. I asked if I could go down the aisle, I needed 2 2x4x10, he pulled back the gate to let me in and offered to help, he was busy and I was familiar with how the set up was, I had gotten wood numerous times before. I told him I could handle it. My husband and I was checking the wood we pulled down, seem like the first 6 were damaged, we found one that was good, as we were looking for another piece of wood, I notice one of the associates was standing at the gate closer to the front of the store watching us, I held my hand up and asked for assistance. He came over put two metal poles in to stop the wood from falling to the ground and helped us. What I couldn't believe was, at the other end of the gate 3 guys were standing there watching us and didn't bother to ask if we needed help. We got the wood and left, this store will never see my face again, useless employees. Need to spend more time working and less time goofing off. read more

I am a huge fan of the Lowes app and their retail locations. I almost always door curbside or "in store" pickup. Recently, I ordered a few items on the app and picked them up at this west Knoxville Lowes. I din't check the contents of the bag for a few days. I discovered that the manager had placed a $10 gift card in my bag with a brief message: "thank you for ordering with us." I don't use this Lowes location very often. I usually only shop here when they have an item I need that is not in-stock at my usual store. I am much closer to the east Knoxville Lowes, but I highly recommend both locations. Just went to the East Knox Lowe's to pick up one item. It's bad enough that they have replaced cashiers with self checkout, but they only had TWO self checkouts open. When there was an issue at one, it took forever for a manager to come and resolve the issue. In the meantime, four customers went through the other register while we waited. Why is there not a single line que that allows the next customer to go up to an open register?! And why are there only two self checkout registers open on a Sunday? I've been a long time Lowe's customer but no more - just too many instances like this that show me they don't care about their customers. Time to try Home Depot. read more

I recently used Lowes to handle some major updates on one of my properties. Had siding and windows done by them material and installation wise and was going to have them do the flooring as well but flooring price was so outrageous I just bought the material from them and had someone else do the work for about a quarter of the cost. The windows and siding material wise was fairly competitively priced even with the installation costs. Salesman I deal with was friendly and very interested in everything I was doing....until I signed the contract. Then I could never get in touch with him again. Scheduling and installation start was handled well but I have to say that the quality of the installation work was poor at best. Contractors are used for these things (not lowes employees) and I was definitely not impressed. Siding was installed decently but cables and cable boxes were left hanging everywhere, they apparently don't remove gutters to install flashing behind...just slide it up as high as they can....which looks like crap.... Left greasy hand prints all over the siding and when I spoke to the owner for the siding install team, he tells me the siding came out of the boxes that way and to let Lowes know and they'll give me some money back?? Windows were even worse. Had the window contractor back out two or three times. Two windows were never even sealed up......one had a 1 inch open air gap around the sides and top. But the worst parts was the internal caulking they did. Looks like a 5 year old got hold of the caulk and just did his best. I had the owner out again to show him and he admitted it didn't look good on many of the windows. Fixed some but others he tells me they couldn't do anything about because of some material on the areas where the windows fit. Long story long.....beware of their installation work.....just get the material and find a contractor to do the work for you if an option. read more

Window installation- DO NOT USE Lowes!!! The window products they sell are good, however they do not have enough installers and nor do they follow through on projects! We purchased over 30K in Pella replacement windows the beginning of April 2023 and we still do not have a completed project! Still waiting on a special order bathroom window! It arrived wrong, the corrected window was supposed to be here in Aug... now Nov. 28th! This is the fourth date of estimated arrival! Still waiting on the corrected coping (installers damaged pieces when installing in Aug!) and hardware are still not here. Lowes subs out all their installations and no one owns the project. I walked into Lowes Cedar Bluff with $200 worth of gift cards I had been saving up to purchase a trimmer/blower combo I purposely waited in the long line so I could deal with a cashier and not have to self check out with gift cards. Total was $162.78. I handed her $200 in gift cards. She scanned them and said that will be $62.74. I told that was not possible and asked her to break down the value of the cards I gave her. She responded I can't do that and I refused to pay the outstanding balance. Meanwhile she has slid the cards next to her register. I demanded a manager. As she angrily closed her lane and used her phone to get a manager, the people behind me were getting restless. After about 10 minutes, I told her I will pay the remainder but I want ALL of my gift cards back. She very reluctantly complied. I got to my car and looked at the receipt and saw below. I'm not 100% sure she made an error or was going to use the $99.96 for herself. Either way, ALWAYS HAVE YOUR BALANCE WRITTEN ON GIFT CARDS AND CHECK IT RIGHT BEFORE YOU GO SHOPPING. The clerk rang up the regular price which was $7.00 above what our paint had been discounted. The manager had to override the price. They had to have our drivers license to do it. The custom service desk is so unorganized and no one is on the same page. I've been up there multiple times the last 2 weeks to rent a truck. Every time I've gone it has been something else that's an issue as to why I can't get it. The first time they tried to tell me I couldn't rent the truck unless I was using it to move material I had bought at the Lowe's. Then they said I had to have a local address?? Even though they advertise out if town moves and full day rentals etc. the older woman who was a head cashier was so rude and constantly made us wait 15-20 minutes for her assistance to either check the truck or access the register. I am 20 and have rented the truck 3 times after calling and confirming I only needed to be 18. I went in today and they refused to allow me to rent the truck because I wasn't 21. They didn't ask anyone else or care to look at my past rentals with the truck. I've had multiple issues with this customer service desk. I've only dealt with one lady who was kind and looked at the others like they were stupid when I explained my issues. Hate the customer service desk ladies but it's the only Lowe's near me. read more

I've lived all across the country. I travel every week for work. Lowe's is always pitching how they support veterans. I know they do from a discount personally. But discounts are easy to give. Really supporting someone is something completely different. There is a gentlemen named Timm there. The guy is disabled and rides a mobility scooter and does a darn good job doing it. I've never once seen a mobility impaired employee at a Lowe's. Heck, I've had blind guys with sticks walk me over to find tile sealer at Home Depot but Lowe's has never helped the disabled best I can tell until this week. It's really nice to see they're changing their ways. Not even here in California do they find jobs for the disabled at Lowe's but Home Depot is exceptional at it. Keep up the great work, it makes me think twice about avoiding Lowe's in the future when I see more of this. And I would like to emphasize we need to see more of this because there is simply no good reason not to. read more

On-line ordering with in store pickup is horribly managed. I should have used Home Depot or Amazon instead. I ordered a set of ear muffs to use around woodworking equipment. I received the email to come to the store for pickup on Wednesday evening. Arrived to pick it up on Friday morning and they COULDN'T FIND my ear muffs. They didn't bother to even tell me this - just had me waiting at the customer service desk like a fool for 15 minutes. I watched the rep that initially helped me go home so asked another rep what my status was. The 2nd customer service rep said night shift moved everything around and day shift couldn't find it. Thanks for telling me! The rep said I'd get a call when they found the ear muffs so I can come back to the store. It's Saturday at 10:45 am and I STILL haven't received a call. Don't waste your time with on-line ordering from this Lowes.... or likely any Lowes. read more

While I have generally had good experiences at Lowe's, the purchase of an over the range microwave has turned me against them. I purchased an in-stock Microwave with installation on 11/1. I was told that the installer would contact me within 3 days to set up the install. Three days seemed like a long time to schedule an install, but with COVID and other factors I can see where it might take that long. I had not heard anything by 11/4 so I called Lowe's and was told the installer would call me between 5:00 and 8:00pm that evening. This was less than satisfactory, and I was very frustrated with the lack of information. I did not receive a call on 11/4 and still do not know when my microwave will be installed. I will be returning to Lowe's for a refund and will go elsewhere for my appliance needs. read more

What is nice is that the staff is well informed and make great suggestions.
