Lowe's changed their previous return policy. Previously you could return an item with a receipt after 90 days ( maybe over 4-5 weeks) and receive a store credit. At one time you could bring back an item without a receipt and get a store credit. That was probably a bad policy because people could steal an item and bring it back. The new policy is no receipt and no refund. Makes perfect sense. However, now with a receipt you can not even get a store for a return over 90 days. I have bought many item for a new house I was building. I had an item (commercial rubbermaid mop still in the factory blister packaging) which was over 90 days from purchase (about 4 weeks pass 90 day) which I tried to return. The head cashier Dewayne said I could not return it because the machine said no. So I asked to speak to the store manager which I was told later was not working that day. What troubled me with this encounter is Dewayne told me I needed to wait until he waited on the other persons in line before he would call the manager. Keep in mind I had waited for the person ahead of me for approximately 20 minutes while DeWayne tried to get his refund resolved and he had a receipt. The man behind me told DeWayne he would wait while he got the manager. DeWayne has an authority complex because we when back and force but finally he went and got another person,Carrie who said the store manager William was not working today. Basically she could not do anything. Another part of the story. The day before I returned 3 other items with a receipt and within the 90 Day window. This time I got back around $14.00 cash and the other return was done on a store credit for around $46 even though I paid on a credit card. Not sure what is happening at Lowe's Corporate but it not good. Apparently, customer service is taking a back seat at a store which I had high praises. Lowes was my go to store and HD was my fall back store. That will change. At least HD will give you a store credit with a receipt if you go over 90 days. read more

Ordered and paid for delivery on new washing machine. LG Turbo wash 360 WM4000HBA First, the salesperson didn't know detail and technical information, but knew a sales pitch format. Secondly, when we said we wanted to think about it, she said the prices would change tomorrow. We came back two days later and the prices were the same. Same sales person took our order, and we paid for everything including pick up and delivery, and hoses, and taxes, and a three year coverage. Received a call 24 hours later, my wife had to return to the store because the salesperson put in the wrong model number and ordered a DRYER, instead of a washer, so now we had to cancel the order, and reorder the correct machine. Until refunded, I now have two outstanding charges on my card. PMO. The machine delivered as scheduled. The young men came and got me to inspect the box (which was undamaged. They removed the box, and there was a dent on the left side of the unit! We immediately called the store, and customer service in another city took our call. The person answering was not the person who could make any decisions. I had to go through her to talk to her manager, and he never came to the phone. He offered me 35$. I suggested that if this unit was on the floor at the store they would have had to sell it for hundreds off, and I paid full price. This is a factory second, for cosmetics, and I wanted at partial refund or a coupon for at least 100$. We went back and forth with the clerk talking to her manager, and finally got an offer of 114$, a 10% Refund. We were told that if we wanted to send the machine back, and refuse delivery, it would be a full refund but we'd have to wait for two weeks for the refund to show, and for another machine to arrive, which would mean we'd have THREE outstanding charges, of rover 1,000 each on our card. This is seriously poor handling of an issue on the part of Lowe's. Multiple screw up, lies from sales, and poor customer service and resolution. read more

After the sale, nearly zero response from salesman. I had to do a BBB complaint and get Lowe's Corporate office involved to get some information. Went to speak to the local store manager, he would not even come out to talk to me. Sent the Asst Manager to come out and tell me he's on lunch break. Communication is horrible, living up to their contract was a 0 out of 10, and the contractors were 'ok'. Although they had to fix my fence several times. They welded and "fixed" the wheels on my gate at least 3 times. Finally had to buy my own wheels and install myself before I got trapped in the fence. Horrible experience. Bought a Freezer took off to meet them to have it delivered from 8-12. Was supposed to call one hour before they came. Showed up at 2 never called. Then two weeks later the Kenmore Freezer goes out. Tried calling Lowes for 1 hour only one answer put me on hold till call disconnected. Never again will I buy another appliance from them. Service sucked bad and so does there warranty people. I bought a refrigerator that was to be delivered Sunday. Saturday I got a recorded call that said they would deliver it between 2 and 4 on Sunday. After 4 on Sunday, I did not receive it, nor did I get a call stating when the would deliver it. I called the phone number that the sales person gave me and was told that it was on the truck and to call back the next day if I hadn't received it. I ordered a Frigidaire refrigerator online from Lowe's, but forgot to order the icemaker. I went into Lowe's in Kerrville and the Hispanic lady in the appliance center, handed me a GE icemaker and told me it was a universal unit that would fit in the refrigerator. So I hired a plumber to put in my icemaker. Of course, it's the wrong one because it's a GE not a Frigidaire. So I came to Lowe's last Wednesday and they only had one in stock that was in a data box that was ripped and torn and had no instructions. I told same lady that I did not want that one. I went to the counter and ordered one to be delivered to the store. Today is the day it's supposed to be there. It is not all the paperwork all says there are three in the store. Of course, what is the beat up box that I didn't take last week. I literally waited an hour and 20 minutes for them to locate the icemaker. No one could find mine or the extra one that's supposed to be in stock. I asked the lady what they were going to do to make this right. Their solution is to cancel the order. So now I have no icemaker and no hope for one from the company that I bought my refrigerator from. I thought this was more like how Home Depot works than Lowe's. This has got to be the worst store I have visited in my adult lifetime. It started out like any other visit to any shopping trip, I was looking to purchase windows and a cement mixer. I will have to say the female customer service in windows and doors was courteous and helped to retrieve a box of four windows and find another like individual window. I explained to her that I also needed a cement mixer. She politely instructed me to go to the Pro Desk and order the item which was not in stock and that my order using Progressive Leasing would be completed at the Pro Desk. When I rolled my cart loaded with windows at the Pro Desk there was one elderly gentleman in front of me being attended. I was next in line and waited for approximately 10 minutes. This is where it turned into a nightmare. Just prior to the elderly gentleman walking away from the counter another customer walks up younger who was a white Caucasian, so I've been in the damn line over 10 minutes and who gets attended to next the guy who just walks in! AS IF THATS NOT COMPLETE BULLSHIT I wait patiently while I get overlooked even though I've been in line over 10 damn minutes, which is now nearing 15/20 minutes. Finally the idiot at the Pro Desk finishes with the chosen customer AND AGAIN UNBELIEVABLY WALKS THE F""K away, till I said angrily hey I've been waiting HERE!? Oh the idiot says how can I help you? I explained what I was needed to do. He told me that he didn't know anything about what I was talking about. He claimed he didn't really work there but he kinda did, I asked for a manager which I was told there was no store manager available or even in the store. Id give less than a star if possible! Grew up going to the Kerrville Lowes location while my family built our house on our ranch. It was a great store at one time and I only had great memories, never had a bad experience.. until recent years. Grab some popcorn and a coke, here we go; There use to be a woman in the paint department there a few years back. This was the first bad experience. All I needed was a paint + Primer, this woman was pushing to make a sale and tried adding on a couple of extra buckets! I kept telling her exactly what i needed, it ended in an unnecessary argument and she held that grudge against me anytime i'd go back to lowes from then on. I last saw her a year and a half ago and unfortunately needed help mixing paint for another project i was doing and she made it very clear she did NOT want to help me, and when she did, she would slam paint cans around, huff obnoxiously, etc. thats the first time i had to make it known to a higher up they got someone bad working for them. But wait, theres more! My parents had a huge order of cabinets for a kitchen we were building about a year ago. They said delivery would be 2-3 weeks. 4 weeks passed and we needed the cabinets now. We go to the customer service desk, and they couldnt find our cabinets... "it last shows it was in transit from houston to San Antonio. 5 days ago." Ok, someone ran off with our cabinets, so we asked for a refund. They made it as difficult as humanly possible. They even refused to give us a refund at one point! So my parents had to hop on a customer service line for 3 days total before they were cleared. No apology, nothing. Unacceptable. My parents and I had gone in about 2 months ago to get lumber for another project, some (i think) woman in the lumber side check out was the rudest, most unhappiest human being on the face of this planet; my mother asked her a question about pricing and the woman groaned and widened her eyes at her and said something to the effect of "WELL WHY COME TO ME, HUH? YOU OBVIOUSLY DONT HAVE ANY BUSINESS BEING HERE THEN, DONT YOU?" (Paraphrased). My father let her know about our lowes credit card with credit on it, she groaned loudly and said "of course you do!" Rolled her eyes and was slamming her fingers on the screen and keyboard during the transaction. Almost done here, got another pleasent one from this place! My mother sent my father and I to pick up red pavers to lay for her patio, needed 32 of them. We asked them if they can pull the pallet around the side and help us load it up. They said no problem, awesome! We pay, go around the side, the pallet is there, nobody there though? We waited about 5 minutes for anybody to come and decided to do it ourselves. Oh, my father had a knee replacement recently and a back surgery even more recently. He could NOT be lifting anything. The "Beavis and Buttheads" that were on the forklift were sittinf on the other side of the side gate picking their noses while we were loading those pavers up. When my dad loudly said "2 more!" They rushed our way with some bull "alright, lets load some pavers up!" I said "no, 2 left. You can go." And they acted like they just donated $2 million to an orphanage, patting themselves on the back, for what!? At Home depot, they actually will DROP what theyre doing if they see you and ask if they can help you in any way, lowes is ok if you dont need help and only need 1 quick thing and dont mind the coldness colder than Antartica. Theyve just gone way down over the last 5 years. Shame. Theres more, but these are the main points that bother me. read more

Absolutely terrible experience with this store! Received confirmation the day before for delivery between 11 am and 3 pm...they never showed! Their delivery driver, Cameron, eventually called to tell me that they weren't going to be able to make it that day. I told him I thought their customer service was terrible and he replied very sarcastically "Thank you very much!" I had a delivery from the Home Depot store in Kerrville that went flawlessly. This is a review for great customer service experience with Andrew in appliances. Midweek, Wednesday, Kerrville. Had to purchase a new washer, I'm from an hour or so away. Found what I wanted within 5 minutes, but crew busy/understaffed, so went to find/use bathroom. When I returned, Andrew in appliances was polite, helpful, kind, enjoyed my humor about the whole situation, answered my many questions clearly and thoroughly. Showed me clearly and kindly that demand exceeded supply with this particular washer, gave realistic and honest time frame for delivery. I think it took me longer to find and use the bathroom than to find and order the washing machine we needed. Thanks so much too for COVID compliance and being such a great person, Andrew! I like Lowe's and I have purchased many, many items from their stores. However, recently, I purchased an A. O. Smith hot water heater and was greatly disappointed that nowhere was I told I needed to buy a cord to put it in before I could use unit. (Neither on the A.O. Smith outside box or a Lowe's person let me know that when I got home I needed to purchase this item to install the unit.) So, I got home and did not have everything needed to install the unit. This was a big inconvenience to me as I am 90 minutes from my nearest Lowes. It makes me want to buy from Amazon. read more

We are new to this area and setting up our new home. We've been to Lowe's in Kerrville many times now and always found the staff to be available and helpful. I'd rate this 5 stars except for one thing, and it is for Lowe's in general not this specific one: Lowe's gives a discount to Veterans, which I very much appreciate. At check out you show your VA ID card, active duty ID card or in Texas, the DMV verifies your service and puts it on your driver's license. All good. But now Lowe's wants us to register for some frequent shopper card and then verifiey our service through that. Except that it doesn't work. I put in my data correctly, but not approved! Not good. Now I'll need to take my documentation 18 miles to the store for verification, duplicating what the DMV has already done. Given all the hacking, I have to wonder why Lowe's wants the responsibility for safeguarding the personal info of US Veterans. I don't see a need for this change! read more

I do not recommend the Kerrville location for big purchases. I made several trips in an effort to purchase a new refrigerator. On 6/1/2020, I paid for the refrigerator that I had chosen and they were supposed to order it. A week later I found out they did not order it. I now have to make another trip to the store in an attempt to get this resolved. I basically have to start over which means my delivery will be delayed. Also, I have to either have them issue a refund to my credit card and repurchase or have them issue a gift card. This is a $2,200 mistake. I guess I blocked the major issues I had with them last year with purchasing flooring. I wish I hadn't because I would have never even went to Lowe's for the refrigerator. read more

I have some blinds I bought from Lowes about 12 years ago we have in our cabin. A plastic internal bracket supporting the blind mechanism disintegrated...literally. Blind is in a room that is rarely used for guests. Tried to order a replacement part to repair the blind and found that they do not support the item with any parts other than the basics such as the wand, etc. Spent over an hour chatting, or trying to, with an agent, with no success. Just waiting for the rest of them to crap out, have 13 blinds in the cabin. CF-5/LOWES made in China. Have crap made in China, good for the corporate bonuses bad for the consumer. read more

I had to give one star to be able to post, actually would like to give a negative 3 star for this Lowes location. While shopping for a lamp, I saw an appliance that I could use and wanted to purchase but was in a car. Asked if I could pay for it then pickup later which I had done two weeks earlier with some molding. The manager said I had to take it if when purchased. So I left, drove back to Fredericksburg, unloaded truck, got fuel and returned arriving an hour and half later. Everyone was busy restocking so got the item and proceeded to checkout. The item had a markdowns tag which required approval. The manager came out and implied that the tag $1498 was switched but he would sell item to me for an additional $500, $1999. I told him that I did not switch tag and took it to the appliance area to find the one that was $1499. Ryan, the appliance person, said that he did write the tag for the item and call the cashier to confirm the price was $1499 because it was damaged as stated on tag. When returned to checkout, I was met by the manager again who said he would not sell it to me. I turned and apologized to a customer behind me for the delay for him to buy a dishwasher. His response was that he just got a 20% discount for the delay,". Every action by this manger was wrong on so many levels but as he told me , he was in charge. There are several other stores in the Hill Country which I hope all and especially veterans will consider first before going to Lowe's. read more

This is terrible customer service. Trying to open a business account at Lowe's. Have had the runaround doe 10 days. Latest is my account cards were not able to be delivered due to the address not having all the numbers, an email asked me to call a number to correct the address. I did finally got a human. Well, since this is a new account, we can't do that today, you'll have to call back Tues! Today is Fri. Wait until Tues to correct the address, then wait until it's put in the system. Then wait for cards in the mail. I have no account number and just more delays. I was earlier trying to change the account name from me to a business name. I gave up on that after 7 days. Horrific experience with fencing installation which still is not fixed. We bought an aluminum fence from Lowe's and their installation team did not line up posts correctly while installing the gate and failed to put in spacers that keep the panels from shifting. After storms with heavy winds we have to straighten the panels. We've been working on trying to get this fixed since May 28th (Discovering the issue two days after installation). After more emails than we can count, videos, pictures, and 3 months, we were mailed a box of 70 spacers. We've been trying for a little more than a month (and more emails) to get someone from installation to come put them in. Apparently the district manager was notified and we were told 3 weeks ago that the spacers would been done within the next 7 days and we could expect a call within 2 days to set up a time. Three weeks later... no call and no installation. We paid almost $7,000 for this fence and 4 months later we have a fence with a crooked gate and panels that don't stay in place and (again) another promise that someone will get back to us by the end of the day (Thursday) and haven't heard a word (Saturday). So... newcomers to Kerrville, a word of warning about buying an aluminum fence from Lowe's. If you do, maybe don't pay in full in cash. Maybe then you MIGHT have a prayer of having some recourse. Funny thing is we were cautioned by so many neighbors about using independent fencing guys- some had horrific experiences of their money being taken and no sign of the fence and they had to go to court to get their money back. Therefore, we decided using a company like Lowe's was a safer choice. Ironically, we're headed in exactly the same direction. What a huge mistake! read more

I feel kind of dumb writing a review for Lowe's but I feel like I need too. On THREE separate occasions we were told our appliances would be delivered in the morning and they never were. I find it SO upsetting that we wasted THREE WHOLE days for waiting over two thousand dollars worth of appliances only to realize they were NEVER going to show up. I find it baffling and hard to believe that everyone in Kerrville is ordering appliances lol. With that said my husband gave the manager an ass chewing and all my husband received was a baffled and confused look from the manager. Comparable to the Home Depot in Kerrville that is nearby. It's big and staff will be able to help you if you have a question. Sometimes they have been out of stock for something I want but usually if that is the case you can find it at Home Depot (sometimes if something is out of stock at Home Depot you can find it at Lowe's). I suppose that is to be expected with a small town hardware store. MUCH bigger with better prices than local hardware stores but sometimes may not have a certain more specialized part. read more
