My husband tried the recommended troubleshooting steps, but nothing worked. I put out a request on Yelp for help, and CJ contacted me within 30 minutes--keep in mind, this was Friday afternoon. He asked for a few details and quickly sent me a quote for the service call, along with a photo showing the cost of the part that would be needed. Without sharing exact prices, I can say he was very reasonable, and his labor cost was far less than the price of the part itself. CJ worked on the washer for a couple of hours and did not charge any extra for evening or weekend service. He was extremely polite, professional, and hospitable. Most importantly, he was very knowledgeable, and my washer is now working perfectly. He mentioned that he specializes in refrigerators, washers, and stoves, and he will absolutely be my go-to appliance repair person going forward. I highly recommend him. The first Fridge purchased and delivered by American freight was plugged in and hooked up to the water line. Minutes later the fridge filled with water and when the fridge was opened, water poured out onto the floor. Delivery people were present so they thought it was a plumbing issue, but after consulting an unaffiliated plumber that was not the issue. We went back to the store, and Kenny, the manager, issued an equal exchange for a replacement fridge. The second fridge from American freight was delivered that same day. It was again installed by friendly delivery persons. They plugged it in and it appeared to function. Less than four hours later, the door showed a cooling error and the fridge overheated. The following day (the third trip in three days), my friend had to fight a blonde woman at the desk to be refunded. After asking to speak to the manager, my friend was denied because the employee indicated the manager was not there even though they noticed the manager in the store. Despite the store providing defective items TWICE they did not make the refund process easy. The employee had an attitude about our request to have delivery fee refunded because of the horrible experience. The employee walked away while my friend was talking to her and threw her pen around the desk in obvious frustration. At the end, we were given a full refund. Although given that we had a bad experience with two fridges, we would not recommend you purchase an appliance from this location.

Another reason I went with them was because they also say they provide repair work for the products that they sell. I went to their store on the 15th of May and talked with one of the salesmen who showed me several cook tops that met my needs. He printed out some pages for me to take home and show my wife after she got home from work that evening. They had showroom hours posted on their door stating they were open on Saturday so the plan was for me to consult my wife that Friday evening and return to make the purchase on Saturday. I returned on Saturday only to find a paper note posted on the door stating they were only open for appointments so my Saturday morning was wasted. I returned on Monday morning and when I inquired about what had happened on Saturday I was told one of the salesmen had taken ill and the other didn't want to open by themselves. I made my purchase and was told my item was in stock and would be delivered to the store later that week. Come Friday I hadn't heard a word from them and it was now the Memorial Day weekend. I waited and still hadn't heard a word from Major Appliance and I finally got fed up waiting so called them the beginning of June. I was given some crazy excuse that the drivers who deliver their appliances to the store wouldn't deliver a lone item due to the increase in gas prices. They promised to have my cook top to me on the 5th of June and was told it would be in the early afternoon. This was in fact what happened as the installers showed up on time and proceeded to attempt installing my item. I say attempted because the cook top didn't fit my opening. I was told I would have to pay an additional $300 out of my own pocket for their counter man to come out and make the necessary adjustments. A whole week went and I heard zero from Major Appliance, which required me to call them. I finally had the counterman show up and he did a great job making the necessary adjustments and got my cook top into place. This whole process took just shy of one whole month. AVOID MAJOR APPLIANCE LIKE THE PLAGUE!
