Bought a washer it is a piece of junk. They will not take it back. They have a 48 hour policy for returns of appliances. This is absolutely the worst store I've ever dealt with from top management on down. We went in to buy flooring and installation in mid July. We paid over $2500 up front for the materials and labor. In the three months that have passed since then, we have had to reschedule the job three times because the materials never arrived at the store. we were given several different reasons why the materials hadn't arrived; 1: they were never ordered. 2: the flooring we wanted was on back order. 3: this flooring wasn't being manufactured any more. 4: the store employees didn't know why it wasn't there. Fnally, last Thursday (September 13) we were assured that the flooring was in the store and delivery to our home was scheduled for Tuesday between 8am and 10am in the morning with installation on Wednesday. we waited and waited and nothing was delivered. We couldn't get through on the phone to the store so we called Service Pro, the installation company. Apparently their supervisor was able to contact Ron at the Lowes store because after noon we received a message from him saying we needed to contact him. We did and he told us he had just become aware of this and that he would help us to straighten this out. (Ron had left us a voice message in August about this order). He now told us we needed to come into the store and pick out a different product. By this point we were infuriated at the overall incompetence of this store's employees and we requested a full refund. Ron said he would work on it and get back to us. He didn't but another employee did call us a few hours later and after talking a few minutes put us on hold. We waited on hold over a half an hour and finally drove to the store. We asked to speak to the store manager by name but we were told that although he was in the store he couldn't come to the customer service desk at that time. So they called an assistant manager named Will. He showed up with another employee and stood at another cash register for approximately ten minutes before coming over to us. He did apologize for our wait. I then told him who we were and why we were there and he said they were just working on our refund. He tried to give us a refund of a little more than $800 less than what we were due. Will talked down to me the entire time and acted like he didn't want to hear anything I had to say. We showed him all the dollars in charges and changes that Lowes had made during the three months of incompetence before he was able to get the refund amount correct. Even then I had to ask him four times exactly how much the total refund was today We finally agreed that he got it correct. He never apologized for anything other than us waiting on him this day. We left and will never enter this store again. read more

I purchased one of their higher quality carpets. After it was installed I noticed lines running through it. I contacted Lowe's and that's where the run around started. So far I've called everyone from Shaw and Stain master. The (not so) Pros installation and was told they would send someone out. They never have come out. I've called corporate and again got the run-around., again. A lot of fake promises of call backs and someone coming out. It's now 28 days and still getting the run-around. That's after spending around 30k in the past 3 years with them. My next remodel will not include Lowe's. Home Depot will get my money from now on. read more

I can't unlike this store enough while most of the people I have dealt with have been pleasant and want to help me management has severely lacked I ordered $2000 worth of product. It is taken three delivery dates three different delivery attempts for my deliveries and I still don't have everything that I paid for on a credit card. I now have my first. I now have my first bill and I still do not have all the product that I ordered, they tried to redeliver my under lament for flooring that was 50 foot shy than what I've paid for. Literally a different product than what I paid for. I bought brand new rugs that were clearly rolled up and plastic and saran wrapped when I looked at them, but when I received them, they were out of the bag, but they brought the bag .. go figure? They didn't bring me everything that I ordered they actually had a manager of the store deliver these products to me, and when I let him know, it was short he sped out of my neighborhood like a bat out of hell so severely that my neighbors thought he wrecked and then I had another manager of the store Mike hang up on me when I tried to complain about it. I had called corporate and they're not that helpful. They're gonna call me back in 24 hours , I will be blowing up this store. I've never been treated way. All I wanted was what I paid for. I paid extra for delivery and now I can't sell my house and have photos taken because my floor guys cannot finish a job without all the product that I ordered, and I have to put them off and they have other things to do so , who knows when will get installed and finished because Lowes can't keep up with the end of the order. i purchased on June 11 it's now the 25th and I have to go to the store and get the rest of my order. I paid for delivery so that makes sense I have a Home Depot three minutes from my home. I drove 30 minutes out of my way in this small town to go to Lowe's because I previously worked there five years ago and I like to give them my business, but I cannot support this company ever again I have spent thousands of dollars at Lowes, but the way they treated me has been repulsive ! read more

With the mower fiasco behind me, I swore I'd never set foot in this store again. So happens I was in the market for a pellet smoker so I could smoke a turkey before thanksgiving. Against my own better judgement, I decided to give them a try again. Now I don't know what happened since the last time I was in there, but I think they built a whole new store and hired a completely new staff. Associates were friendly and helpful, they knew their product, and never gave up until they found what I needed or could answer questions. I ordered one item for pickup and paid online today. Never got an email so went in to get it anyway. Something went wrong, but the item was there but no email went out. Then the lady said oh there is a problem, you need to pay again, and we will refund the other. Ok, she charged me again. I come home and look on my visa account online and there is now 2 charges. Oh well maybe one will drop off. I can worry about that later. What bothers me more is that I was only there a short time and only at the pick up desk at the door. I didnt go more than 3 feet into the store, yet I see 2 Lowes uniformed employees on duty with no masks! We are in the middle of an epidemic with rising rates in 44 out of 50 states INCLUDING this one. There is a high percentage of retired folks in this town yet these people wont wear a mask! DO NOT ORDER YOUR KITCHEN THERE. They sub out work and nobody will accept accountability for anything. The installer in charge of measuring my kitchen was hired by Lowe's. He mismeasured. My cabinets were 4 months late because of his error. My cabinet delivery was sub'd out to a series of entities and the end delivery was done by unvetted, careless people who refused to bring the cabinets inside even though I paid Lowe's $350 to hire someone would do so. My appliances were ordered 5/28/2021 based PURELY on availability because. didn't want to order something that would be stranded on their way from China. I was assured ALL my items were available for delivery. Yet......They have miraculously disappeared. You will hang on the phone line for hours when you try to get anyone in delivery, cabinets, appliances or managers. Then the phone system will cut you off. The "installation specialists" have no idea what is going on with your order and can't reach the installers. The delivery people have no accountability if they damage your property either. They ran off my driveway, took my shrubbery, got stuck, tore up the driveway asphalt and a 2nd delivery ran into my gate, scraped off the paint and didn't have the honestly to tell me. Unless you have the patience of Job and want to try to herd cats with emails, phone calls and personal visits to the store.....only to be rewarded with delays, DO NOT ORDER YOUR KITCHEN HERE. read more

I have used store 717, Franklin NC, for 3 years since being a part time resident. The state is friendly and well stocked. I was there on 8/3/23 and was having difficulty finding an item. Department supervisor, Maureen (tools & hardware) asked if i needed help and escorted me to inside garden to find a scrub brush that we couldn't find. This created a really stressful situation for me, having spent a lot of money with a company that does not know what customer service is. Called Lowe's in Franklin, NC, on Monday. Took 3 attempts just to get through to Appliance department. Ordered a dishwasher that we were told was in stock and that could be delivered on or before Friday. We were assured the delivery/installer folks would call on Tuesday to set the appointment. We checked late on Tuesday with the contractor; we were told the item had not even been pulled from the warehouse yet. Called Lowe's. On hold for 6 min, 11 seconds before reaching customer service. Started with my question to person at customer service; she said to hold on; she had to get to a different computer. Held on another 24 minutes, 18 seconds before finally hanging up. read more

We ordered thousands of dollars worth of interior doors and still haven't received 6+ months latter. Tee picked doors they had hanging in the store but turned out they didn't even know how to get in contact with them. After months of waiting we tried to get answers from the store but kept getting a "we'll look into it and call u back". One of the managers (Miguel) avoided phone calls, ignored emails, and ghosted us like a real leader (with significant room for improvement). No one has any answers and I guess we'll just walk away after thousands of $$ and 6 months invested. My advice - just because they sell it doesn't mean you'll get it. I'm happy to report that all these negative reviews do not reflect my recent positive experience. When I called customer service to check the availability of some stepping stones in the garden center, I was really impressed with the "Can Do" attitude of Shirley. She went the extra mile and found the stones in a stack of new inventory. Thanks to her the contractor is on his way to pick them up and the job is back on track to be finished today. Lowe's is hit or miss. Today I was looking at flooring and picked up 2 Pergo samples that were not marked with price. I stopped at register and the samples would not scan. The woman at the register went to the next register to ask about and the second woman was typing on her phone and finally came up with some information for 1 sample which I did not think was right so I walked out. The samples that were marked were $.25. Floors are a couple thousand dollars and I have to wait for someone to look up info on her phone for a sample charge. It rubbed me the wrong way read more

We bought an EGO lawnmower from Lowes on june 10, 2022. We tried to use it for the first time today. It does not work and we have decided to return it. We were told since it is after a 30 day period we must contact the manufacturer to get an "ar" code before we could return it to the store. We called EGO and were told they do not give out the AR codes and Lowes should request the code themselves. After numerous phone calls between the manufacturer and lowes we have gotten no satisfaction. We are long time customers of Lowes but will never shop there again. Lowes, by far, has the worst customer service of any big box store in America. Honestly, I don't know where to begin. Let me give two recent examples at two different Lowes locations. We do not live close by any Lowes stores so we end up at one of four locations that are within 40 minutes or so from home. First example - Lowes emailed me a coupon for $10 off if I spent $50. When I tried to use the coupon, the cashier rudely says to me "where did you get this coupon?" I said "Lowes emailed it to me!" "We'll, I've never seen it before." Then, she had to call the store manager over to handle it. Instead of apologizing for the delay, the manager grilled me about where the coupon came from. I whipped out my smartphone and showed him the email from Lowes. "They didn't tell us anything about this." I said "That's not my problem." Finally, after about 15 minutes, they accepted their own coupon. No apologies from store personnel. Second example - I tried to return something that I bought at one store to a different store. The clerk scans it and says "It's not coming up. It must not be one of our products." I said "Here is my receipt." The clerk says "It's not registering on our computer" while she pushes the product back to me. I asked to see a store manager. She rolls her eyes and tries to call someone with authority to accept a return of something that costs less than $15. Having no success with that and the return line piling up behind me, I said "forget it, I will wait and return it to the your other store 30 miles away the next time I am over there." No apologies from the clerk. Lowes usually hires the worst personalities it can find, gives them no customer service training, and unleashes them on an unsuspecting public. Sad. read more

Terrible customer service went in at 8:30am to get something from the garden center and the gate was closed even though I was told it opened at 8:00am. The employees I asked just looked at me and said too bad it will be awhile and never asked if I needed help. When I went outside to get mulch the attendant was nothing but rude and acted liked I was bothering him by being there. Came to them for some vinyl flooring for a 2nd home in the area. After a 3 week lead time, on the day of the install I received a call to reschedule. Just a series of mix ups on the install dates, poor installation, poor customer service and passing of the buck between the store and customer service of Lowe's. Bottom line is they offered to sell me additional materials and installation to complete a job they should have finished correctly the first time. I would have chosen no stars for the review if I could've. This store is very poorly managed and costumer service is terrible. There's a mask mandate in the state but the staff and costumer's don't wear them. The garden section is not managed properly and the plants die from lack of water or care! I bought flower bulbs there and they were dead,I guess from being old. They refused to take them back because of them being in a box and said in a very rude way that it wasn't their fault! Just walked out after requesting assistance in the lawn and garden section concerning fire ant killer. As usual no help ever showed up and i have to drive elsewhere to try and get what i need. I am slightly crippled and walking is very painful to me. The lack of empathy displayed by this store is disturbing to say the least. Okay, so true story. I needed a butane refill for a torch to complete a root canal I had scheduled. Walked in, told an associate what I was looking for. The associate brought me right to it, toward the front of the store. In and out in less than 5 minutes and the cost was under $5. And the root canal was beautiful, in case you were wondering. I had a project that required Plaster of Paris and I visited the Lowes of Franklin,NC I had my wife in the car and we were headed to lunch and I told her it should only take a minute to pick up the plaster and some sheetrock tape. I could not find the plaster and asked a person in construction who said he had no idea what I was talking about and suggested I go to paint. There I encountered a man and girl employee setting and talking. They were not thrilled that I wanted to ask a question and break up their conversation. The man said he did not think Lowes carried Plaster but I should check with someone in construction. He never left his seat. I had purchased plaster at a Lowes several years ago, so I went to the front desk and asked a clerk to search the data base for it. She finally found it and told me where to go to look for it. I found the plaster and then as I have not done any sheetrock work in years I did not know where to find it and circled the store twice before revisiting the man and women setting in the paint section. (They had not moved from their seats so they were easy to find) I told him I had found the plaster; could they help me find sheetrock tape. They said it was with the sheetrock. I told them I assumed as much but I could not find the sheetrock. The girl said to go to flooring. I did so and still never found it. Neither one ever offered to help me find it, and both remained happily in their seats. So finally after 30 minutes of this exercise in futility, I took my two boxes of plaster to the front, purchased them and left. Totally uncaring, incompetent employees who have no comprehension of the term customer service or company dedication....... Customer Service at this store is a JOKE!!!!!!! read more

lowe's is constantly out of basics like pvc, pex, and light bulbs. This is because the inventory is structured for max. profit without regards for the customers needs. I was told this by several sympathetic staff. in other words, they will not order items till it is profitable and economic. they did not honor a warranty on a 14 mo old washer instead they gave me the purchase cost back minus the warranty cost because it was cheaper for them. I can't tell you how many times I have driven an extra 75 miles to the Clayton Home Depot because lowes was out of something simple and could not reorder till corporate said to.
