A friend who owns a landscaping business referred me to Vivian at East Fork Nursery because she is a delight to work with and sells her plants wholesale. She helped me choose some evergreen azalea plants that will have beautiful blooms in the spring but keep their green leaves in the winter. She listened to what I was looking for and even what colors I had in mind and showed me what she had. She is a super sweet woman! Some things to note: she is open by appointment only on Saturdays. The address will lead you to her mailbox but the nursery is up the gravel driveway. Her cell phone number is (865) 712-5764 to call if she doesn't answer the main number. She doesn't have all flowers (not particularly ones for a flower garden or window box), she specializes in shrubbery for landscaping.

However, it was the most local florist to where I wanted flowers sent, so I selected a local florist. Like many flower shops, the website was pretty awful and unhelpful to navigate, but I selected a basket of flowers and paid through the website. Afterwards, I received a pop-up saying I needed to physically call the store to complete the transaction. Well, this basically defeats the entire purpose of using an online system, but 'gotcha!'- there was little choice now that I had already paid for my delivery. The person who picked up told me that she would make a beautiful basket but it wouldn't look exactly like the one in the picture. I said that was fine, but could she send me a picture so that I could see what was sent. She also wanted the code on the back of my credit card, which I had already input online. Next day, I received a voicemail asking for me to call the store again- she had forgotten the code from my card. No big deal - this could happen to anyone - but then I asked when I would get the email with the photo, and she told me she had neglected to take a photo. The person I sent flowers to is unable to send me a picture and is in very poor health. Therefore, I'll never know what I sent- the size, the look, nothing. I was pretty annoyed on the phone, because it seems outrageous to never see what I purchased. I plan to send flowers regularly, so not sure if I will call this florist again. On thinking about it later, I wonder if most of the orders that come in are people from afar who also wants pictures sent in. I am surprised pictures are not taken just as proof, and also to know what was last sent to a client, but I guess without a system for doing this, it could take a lot of extra time to take coordinate taking and sending out photos. However, I wish I had a photo to add to this review!

This little gem of a furniture is off the beaten-path. We recently purchased a vacation home in…read moreFranklin. We are gradually replacing the existing furniture with that of our own taste. There are many furniture venues throughout NC but we stuck close to home. In and out of the many stores in Franklin we were disappointed by the high cost of furniture which most touted "man made wood". What does this mean? Well the charmless furniture was not wood, not appealing, looked like molded plastic and expensive. We found one place that had nice, well-made furniture to our liking and actually crafted using wood. The selection is small but we were able to purchase two highly crafted nightstands for the same cost as the charmless pieces in other stores. It is a family run business and the furniture is made in Tennessee. Some pieces can be special ordered. I would have given 5 stars as I would have liked more choices; I would have purchased many more pieces!
