Good Afternoon, Our overall experience with Lowes today in Cape Girardeau, MO was abhorrent. Chris, the cabinet guy was extremely unpleasant to work with. The countertop guy was on lunch and we were told someone else was going to help us. In comes Chris, and right off the bat it seemed like he was annoyed at being bothered. He made us feel like complete morons the entire time and then tried gaslighting me when I took offense to the way he was treating us. I almost snapped, but I had to calm myself down. Joking is one thing, this guy was berating me with pretty demeaning comments. I get you gotta work buddy, we all do. He needs to work on his customer service skills. He was unnecessarily abrasive and snickered at the way we said the name of some countertop (like it matters, get to work chum). He snickered when he read the measurements we took of our countertops at home, as if they weren't going to come out and measure them anyways at a later point in time. My wife and I felt extremely uncomfortable the entire time we were in there and he's pretty fortunate I didn't snap on him like I was super close to doing. Chris was straight up friction and extremely unpleasant to work with. We were both in shock of how rude he was. It's one thing to have a saltine cracker (dry) sense of humor, but it's another to constantly make someone feel like they are ignorant. Put Chris in the back where other customers don't have to have unpleasant experiences with him. read more

If you're looking to do any type of remodeling, do your homework and find a reputable remodel business. Lowe's is not the one to pick. Their kitchen cabinet and remodel sales associates couldn't find their way out of a paper bag with both ends opened up and the sides laid open. My s-i-l had the misfortune of using Lowe's to remodel her kitchen. What a cluster f*ck. Lowe's ordered the wrong cabinets and end pieces, twice. What should've been an easy 2 to 3 week remodel job took over 9 months to complete. Once the right cabinets were installed, the installer messed up the end pieces, so new pieces were ordered. This took over 2 months because no one at Lowe's could be responsible enough to follow through on the orders. Did I mention it was a total cluster f*ck. Then, cabinets above the stove were installed wrong, so that the only way to open up one cabinet door was to open the door on the microwave above the stove top. The exposed full wall piece to close in the refrigerator was butchered by the hack installer so that it was an inch too short to fit where it was supposed to go. So, the new panel was ordered. Or was it? After patiently waiting for a month, my s-i-l found out that the part WASN'T ordered at all. She has dealt with the department managers, store managers, regional manager, and they still couldn't get their act together. But, alas, the kitchen remodel is finally completed, 10 months after signing the contract. So, if you're looking to blow some remodel money needlessly, and want to have 9 months of pain and aggravation, by all means, let Lowe's be in charge of your remodel. You were warned. read more

The Lowe's curbside pick up is rough. In the last two weeks we have had two separate orders of tile to pick up. Unfortunately each experience hasn't gone particularly smooth. The first trip we parked in the curbside pick up and used the QR code to notify our arrival. After 15 minutes, my wife went in to investigate. After a long wait in the customer service line she was instructed to return to her truck to wait. After another 20 minutes and taking two toddlers to the bathroom, we returned to customer service to be told our pick up was never processed. Finally after being there a little over an hour we got our tile loaded. Today, feeling that I learned from prior mistakes, I immediately went inside to customer service to notify my arrival. I thought that I had lucked out as there was no line for customer service, but unfortunately I ended up waiting another 45 minutes in the store. They initially only brought out half the order. Once I pointed this out, I was told "this is all there is." They did eventually go back and find the remaining order. I then waited for 20+ minutes to get assistance loading the tile. It was large tile 12" x 24" so I could not load myself. There ended up being a fair amount of bickering between staff to find someone to provide assistance. When I finally got assistance loading, some of the tile was broke, so back to the customer service line. I then had to "return" the broken tile and go to the aisles to find replacements and check out once again. To Lowe's credit, the did provide a discount on the first order due to our experience. The workers tried to remain pleasant, but they were pulled thin without much back up. Lowe's pick up with be avoided in the future. Is needed, I'll be driving to Sikeston Lowe's to hope for a better experience. read more

My aunt and uncle got their home built 25 years ago with the same cabinets with no issue. Then 2023 she needed new countertops and Lowe's provided her with shitty cheap cabinets and Lowe's don't want to take responsibility for these shitty cabinets. I'm so tired of my aunt being treated this way and all she is wanting for her cabinets to be installed the correct way the water damaged fixed because of the shitty workers Lowe's and Hallmark Stone sent to her home. LOWE'S IS HORRIBLE, let's BOYCOTT THEM!!! TAKE YOUR SERVICE TO MENARDS OR HOME DEPOT. They don't want to take responsibility for the mess they make. My aunt insurance has increased thousands of dollars. At this time we are getting with our lawyer involved and we will get to the bottom of this. read more

My experience was that of incompetence and rude behavior on the part of sales rep and installer. I ordered a storm door and it had to be ordered two more times before I got the correct one. The installer wanted to install the wrong door and it was scratched and damaged. I made it clear I did not want the same installer back and they sent him back when the correct door finally arrived in the store two months later! They said it was the correct door anyway, when I went to the store and asked to look at it to make sure, they would not let me see the door. When I called to try to speak to the sales rep or the store manager, I had to call back four times and was directed through the automated phone system four times before I finally was able to speak to a person. The Lowe's store seemed to go out of its way to provide poor service. read more

I went today to buy a Christmas tree. No one was in the area, but I had one other item to look for, so went to the Home Decor area. On the way, I passed the self checkout and asked the very helpful lady there how to get a tree. Were they in boxes, or what? She explained that they were out in the greenhouse area in boxes. A few minutes later I went out to the greenhouse where a woman was working. I asked her if I could get help with a tree when she had a chance. She totally ignored me and left the area after a few minutes. So I went inside to get a cart. Two young men were inside goofing off and let me have the cart but didn't ask if I needed help. I wrestled the tree, probably 80 pounds, onto the cart, rolled it back inside, and checked out in the self checkout aisle. Once again, THAT lady was very helpful. I should have gotten her name. I said I needed help loading the tree because I have a bad shoulder, which I had already aggravated by loading the box and wheeling the cart so far. I was parked right outside in the Veteran's parking. (I was wearing my jacket with my Navy insignia on it too.) She had a hard time finding anyone to come load the tree. I finally rolled it out to my truck and a fellow veteran helped me load it. As I drove off, a couple young men came out apparently looking for me. I still got the bullshit "thank you for your service", though. Not happy and may not be back after shopping here for YEARS. Nobody seems to care about customer service anymore. read more

I wish I could give less than one star to Cape Girardeau Lowes. We have tried for the last 3 weeks to find someone to help us with Kitchen cabinets. We are always told that the person will return at this or that time. We are always among other frustrated or angry costumers also trying to get some assistance on ordering cabinets. We are actually starting to believe there really isn't even a cabinet person that works there as we have come at various times to try and catch the associate and have yet to see him/her. Will be taking our business elsewhere. read more

I walk past five employees plus the manager of the store not a single one asked me did I need help with anything I walked around the store for about 10 minutes before I left couldn't find the product online it said it was there terrible service everybody's putting up product instead of helping the customer ​​​​ put up the product at night time help people during the day. read more

Some of the absolute BEST customer service I have ever received! Associates were very knowledgeable about the appliances I was asking about. Also the entire store looked fantastic, which makes me look forward to shopping there again! read more

Well, not good, We bought a kitchen full of appliances 4 years ago from Lowes and paid for the extended warranty. Last week the refrigerator quit and it took us 4 hours (yes 4 hour, our cordless phone went dead while we were on one of the calls) to get a service call scheduled for 2 weeks from then. That is just to come out and then they will have to order parts. We called Mr Appliance (who does work for Lowes) and they can come in 30 minutes but Lowes refuses to allow them to run this call. My recommendation to other customers is to save the money you spend on the extended warranty and just pay for repairs from the service provider of your choice and not be at the mercy of this big corporation. I called the local store three times and was transferred around and eventually hung up on all three times. A&E is Lowe's provider of choice. read more

Scheduled someone to measure for fencing. He called two days before he was coming to make sure all was ok and we would be at home. My husband works out of town and came back to meet with him. (Gas it a bit expensive). He never showed up. We called the Cape Girardeau Lowes store to see if there was any way we could contact him. They knew nothing. I think we will go to Menards. read more

Last Sunday, 7/12/15 I made the mistake of going to Lowes. It was around 4pm. The parking lot was full, the store was full. Lots of employees everywhere. Problem: JUST ONE CHECKOUT LANE was open. Why have self-checkouts if they are never open? The line to checkout was 7 people deep. It took 20 minutes to checkout. If the self checkouts had been up I could of been out of there in 2 minutes. Once it was finally my turn to checkout, the cashier did not greet me, she just rang it up and told me my total, no have a good day or anything. I imagine the checkout person was upset because perhaps she felt she was the only one working. This is not an isolated incident. It seems every time I go there it takes forever to checkout and the self checkouts are rarely open. Shame on you Lowes! read more
