I recently visited Lowe's to get flooring for my home. I waited over 40 minutes for somebody at the flooring center to even appear, despite multiple calls over head and the store being completely empty. There was nobody to help at all. It was a complete waste of time. I was so frustrated and disappointed with the lack of customer service that I decided to go somewhere else for my flooring. My husband and I bought a washer dryer tower from Lowes in Brooklyn, OH for our home in Cleveland Heights. The unit was $1,929 and arrived damaged. The delivery team made a note on their paperwork and said they would let the store know. There were two dents in the back of the unit and the top cover corner panel was bent up. When my husband contacted the store manager, he was emailed a $100 gift card to be used only at Lowes. We asked that they repair the unit, and they refused. We asked if we could just get replacement parts, and they refused. Our only options were the $100 to spend at Lowes (I never want to buy from them again) or return the unit. We are in our late 70's and have just moved into our new home. We don't want to deal with returning the unit. We would have preferred a credit back to our credit card at least equal to what the replacement parts and service call would be, but they refused. Lowes failure to try and make this right is totally unacceptable. I will not buy another major purchase from them ever again, and we are planning on replacing several kitchen appliances once we get settled. Absolutely terrible customer service! All I wanted to do is put my order in to get a washer and dryer for my house. When I first got here, I looked at all the appliances myself to see what I liked before I attempted to find anyone so I didn't have to waste anyone's time. Once I found what I liked I just wanted to place my order and leave. I pressed the button for help in the appliance section but noticed that it wasn't working after waiting for 20 minutes, so I went to customer service to see if they can get someone to help me. After waiting for another 20 minutes, I told my husband to wait there while I go and see if they can page someone again to come and help me. Finally, after waiting for another 20 minutes.. a total of 1 hour, I decided that I was done waiting. It's always something different that is wrong. They told me they can send out up to 4 technicians which means i may not have a fridge for at least 30 days. My boyfriend and I ordered a vanity from Lowe's (Brooklyn, Ohio) on 4/25/21 item number 2808060 model# WESTBOURNE-60W-Combo (60in Mercer WH shelf vanity combo) through manufacture OVE Decors ULC. Because of the pandemic we were told there would be shipping delays and to be understanding, no problem. To our surprise it arrived within a week! The delivery men from Lowe's informed us when they got to the house that they do not carry items up or downstairs so they left the item in our doorway. Unfortunately our contractor was not ready for the short delivery notice and was unable to complete the installation for a few months (more pandemic delays). When he arrived (within 90 days of our purchase) he informed us that the vanity top was completely crack in multiple places. The delivery men had damaged our product. Now my boyfriend and I have worked with Lowe's many times and have had ZERO issues but when I called this time to inform them that the delivery men had damage our vanity they told me that the model was no longer carried at Lowe's and that I would have to go through the manufacturer. An assistant helped me find the manufacturer information and I called about replacing/repairing the vanity counter top. The manufacturer informed us that 60in vanities our specialty items that they do not repair them. (Um ok?) And that the item would have to be returned to Lowe's. I called back to Lowe's and informed them of what the manufacturer said and Lowe's said this is not true the manufacturer has to replace/repair the item. This went back and forth for about a week (as you can imagine I was calling after work and on lunch breaks, place on hold for 30-45 minutes at a time just to be given the run around, we felt very frustrated). Finally we were able to speak with a Lowe's manager about our situation, when he looked up our purchase/delivery date he informed us that we were past our 90 days and that there was nothing Lowe's could do. I was so upset! I asked them to be understanding of the pandemic delays and the run around from the Lowe's customer service assistants and manufacturer but he didn't care. No refund, no credit towards a new vanity, no reimbursement for the $69.00 delivery charge of the damaged vanity, nothing. Lowe's wouldn't even replace the vanity counter if we PAID for the new counter top. This is truly the worst experience I've had working with Lowe's or any business for that matter. Throughly check your items on delivery for damages and go to the store directly and speak to a manager otherwise they may run you around until you hit the 90 days. Lastly, If you have any advice on who and where we can go for vanity countertop repairs we would truly appreciate it! I hope this review helps prevent a loss of money and the headaches we have encountered. read more

Bought some cheap paint from Lowe's recently and it turned out to be too dark once we saw it on the wall. So we took the paint back to Lowe's and they lightened it for us. Problem solved quickly and without hassle. So I bought more paint for our next project, which will occur this weekend. We're getting our house ready for sale, so we want it to remove our personal touches by neutralizing the wall colors. We're going to take a financial hit when we sell our house due to the housing market in my area, so we're doing things that can help boost the value of our house or at least get it sold so we can move to a community with better schools and newer, bigger houses. The Olympic paint I bought was $55 for five gallons, which is ultra inexpensive. I was a little concerned that we would have some issue with the paint. However, after painting my kitchen, dining room, and hallway with it, we had no problems. The paint looks good and covered in one coat. Why pay $105 for five gallons when you could pay $55? I don't see the difference. I like Lowe's and I'll return. read more

There's a guy at the paint desk, a woman observing the self checkout, and maybe a third person seen from a distance as you look for help. If more people work here they are playing an elaborate game of hide and seek that's worth at least three stars. I'd give them 5, but I actually needed help. Worst customer service experience I have ever had. I purchased a Weber Genesis II LX S-440 grill from this store in June. This grill was meant to be a birthday gift. Originally the grill was marked for delivery on 6/30. The delivery was delayed for some reason not only once to 7/7, but twice due to the store's neglect and pushed back to 7/8. Clearly, July 4th plans did not happen, and the birthday was also ruined. The grill was to be delivered fully assembled and ready to go, per their Lowe's Truck Delivery service that I paid extra for. The grill was assembled, but it still had all of the plastic wrap on the stainless panels. Whomever put this together must have not read the directions at all, as the plastic wrap had labels ON EACH PANEL that said to remove the plastic before assembly. Every panel....9 stickers.... Because of this disregard, there is now plastic stuck between the side table and grill body, between the door handles and door, and between the cabinet walls and trays. Pretty much any part of the grill that is stainless and has another part attached to it has plastic stuck between it. The store itself, and corporate customer service, were contacted 8 times. 8. The store was supposed to have someone sent out to disassemble, remove the remaining plastic wrap, and reassemble. This was never done. Someone made a very poor attempt to just pull the plastic off without taking the grill apart, thus resulting in strands of stretched plastic sticking out of my $1700 grill. They were supposed to send someone out again, but there is nothing different from the result of the last person, except they did tighten down the grill cover....thanks I guess? After dealing with this situation for multiple weeks now, I have finally had enough and told them to come pick the grill up, and give me my money back. The service manager, Chris, said that they would not be able to pick the grill up and refund my card until next Wednesday (5 days, assuming they actually can do something on time). So, I now have a $1800+ charge sitting on my card, a grill that still has plastic wrap in places and I can't do anything with it...Cool..... Lowe's clearly does not care about their customers, they do not put effort or pride in their work, and they have lost multiple customers for life from this terrible experience. All they had to do was send someone out to REALLY fix the problem, or do it right the first time. But no, that apparently is too much for them to handle. If I could give less than 1 star to write a review, I would. read more

Ordered 6 kitchen cabinets ,countertop, sink and faucet on March 5, today is April 20 and still missing one cabinet and the countertop. They broke one cabinet cabinet delivering. I called the store to check on order status and its an absolute nightmare to have someone the to pick up the phone and sometimes when they do they will hang on you. a quick thank you to Jeff in the electrical department early this morning ( Monday 11/09 ). i needed two parts to complete a home inspection in a local city. I had been looking for about 5-10 minutes when he walked up and asked if he could help. finding the electrical part for him was quick. then i needed an obscure plumbing part. Jeff took me to plumbing and we both searched for 10 or so minutes. he found it, i doubt i would have been so lucky on my own. i just appreciated the time he spent. He could have easily explained to me that plumbing wasn't his dept but he didn't. i was out of the store and on my way. i arrived at the house just minutes before the inspectors showed up! i got the parts in and the electrical and plumbing inspections passed. thanks Jeff. read more

We ordered a dish washer a month ago then when it arrived it was damaged. They took it back to replace it then never contacted us back about it. Collectively over the last week I spent around 3 hours on hold to no avail only to find out from installation that the store had cancelled the order without our knowledge. We then went into the store where they had me on my crutches walk back to the appliance section in order to sort it out. Now we have 900 dollars on a lowes credit card from our refund and unfortunately they do not sell Home Depot gift cards there. I am almost too dumbfounded to be pissed off about this. read more

I stopped in because I needed to replace a stem for the shower and was told they've stopped carrying most of the parts. Employee pointed out that replacing all the parts would cost as much as a new set. But I only needed 1 stem. Out of luck. Other than that, my dealings at this location have been fine. I also ended up getting a Lowe's credit card for the $100.00 off and overall I would give this Lowe's 5 stars. I have been trying to get treated lumber to replace my deck for weeks. I know there is a shortage, so I am vigilant about checking the local suppliers everyday. Lowe's got in a shipment Thursday afternoon, I immediately placed my order online for 53 2x6 #2 prime 8 footers which they had in stock. This was at 12:30, I wanted them pulled so I could pick them up. 6 hours later I called and they told me they were pulling the order and would notify me when it was ready. I never got notification, so I went online to check my order after the store was closed. Low and behold they cancelled my order without notification. This is not the first time this Lowe's has screwed me on an order, however it will be the last time! What a bunch of dishonest people! read more

I like Lowes. In the battle between Lowes and Home Depot, for me Lowes is the winner. Perhaps some may say that this is just a battle of two evils... but when you need a new lawnmower or a toilet handle, your choices are limited. Like all of these stores, this location is a sprawling massive warehouse full of every home improvement item the typical person may need. There have been a few times they didn't have what I needed (ex. very fine thickness brass shims) but more than likely you'll find what you need. If it is an item that is carried by Walmart, you're probably better off going there as the prices will be lower but the selection here is much much better and worth the few extra bucks. read more

It was raining so they locked the garden dept. doors. Forcing customers to walk half the store outside in the "storm". Because of the "storm" no employees were allowed to work the mulch line on the busiest day of the year for mulch and flowers. I pay for our flowers and told the cashier what mulch and how many I needed. I also paid for the mulch as the storm had subsided and I could get it loaded. ( I am 62 and have had 1 heart attack). I asked where to go for it to be loaded. It was my first time at Lowe's ( and my last). I was told far corner of the lot. Right. I ended up loading my car because no one was near the far corner. What would take 15 minutes at Home Depo took close to an hour. No wonder on the busiest yawn weekend of the year, you had 25 cars in the lot. read more

Went to Rocky River Lowe's with my grandson as we are purchasing a new house. The drive is huge so we wanted to secure a new airens snow blower. Also the hot water tank at the new house is broken so we decided to order both the same day. They had many Airens blowers in stock so we purchased the biggest and a 700.00 hot water tank. We put it on a Lowe's charge to secure it and set delivery for that Saturday we were off. In the mean time a couple days later came into Lowe's to pay it off cash. The third day we had a snow storm and we're so glad we thought ahead to get the blower. The day before delivery Lowe's called us and told us our blower would have to go on back order as Lowe's sold our snowblower and no more of that model was do to come in this season. Was so up set called the manager. Was told no more available and when I ask for district managers number he told me he wasn't giving it to me. And further found out when speaking to the second manager that now that the Oder was canceled and put back as credit of Lowe's charge we would have to call credit to get our cash back for another blower to go somewhere else. The next day I went to the empty house to wait for the hot water tank so we could repair it. After waiting there most of the day and it not arriving I called Lowe's to see what the hold up was. They told me when the manager credited my snow blower he also cancelled my hot water tank. So I waiting all day there for nothing. No tank no snow blower no water no money. read more

I needed help removing an old built in microwave and replacing it with a range hood. I've never installed anything like this before and my husband is disabled so I really needed help. After doing some research, I picked out the model I needed and the sales associate at this store suggested I pay for a consultation first to make sure I didn't need additional labor or parts. He mentioned that the installers were busy so I may not get my appointment scheduled immediately, it may take a week to get the call to schedule, this was ok I was not in a hurry. After not hearing from anyone for a month and a half to schedule the consult, I called the store. An appliance associate told me to call the installers, he could not help me. The installers said they didn't have my info and could not help me, then connected me to the store, with the person I had just talked to. The store told me again I needed to call the installers. I let the store know the installers didn't have any of my info and couldn't help me. He said he would talk to someone in the back and would call me back. This was three days ago. I still have not heard from him. I drove back to store, got a refund of the installation fee and am never returning to this store. I drove further away to Home Depot, bought a new range hood, looked up a YouTube video on how to remove the old microwave, and then watched a video on how to install range hoods. I did everything myself with no help. Won't be returning to this Lowe's store in the future. read more

I was only able to find one associate at a lowes store that knew what she was doing (an older lady plumber at the rocky river/westgate store). Their valspar paint is crap.....got burned on that too. The coverage is shoddy and they couldnt match their own paint so my kitchen is 3 diff shades. And the paint is supposed to be washable/scrubbable and it is not. It takes forever to fully dry (im talking months of worrying about it getting knicked and peeling) Never again. from now on it's sherwin williams for paint and home depot for supplies. read more

This store is not bad at all for the bad rap big box stores get. There are plenty of employees that usually ask if I need help with anything. The wait at the tills is never long and if you need to move out fast you can use the self-checkout area. The store has helpful information posted throughout - usually also in Spanish - and the displays are neat. The place is never really crowded which gives plenty of opportunity to spend time comparing products in the aisles. read more

There was one gentleman ahead of me. Finally a rep saw me and was beginning to plug in my order. She had to call to the back for the item to be brought up. As I was waiting I asked if my other 2 small items could be checked out at their register. No such luck. Had to walk to the other end to check out. Really? I then walked and put the items in my car while I was waiting for the other item to be brought up. It finally came up and the guy just left it on the floor by the desk. He didnt ask if I needed help to take it out to my car. The customer service rep didn't even ask or give me a receipt. I had taken back some items after I had finished my project. Now I did not have receipts for all items but I had taken items back many many times without a receipt and was always given a in store credit which is fine with me. Well they rang up all items and ask how I paid for them, I said well cash or my CC. So she ran my CC card and said nothing showed up on it so I would need a receipt in order to return any of the items. I asked why this time was different then any other time I had returned items she said she did not know I needed to call the 800 on the receipt. I asked to speak to a manager and she said that was her, so I said can I get a copy of the return policy she said she did not have that and did not know what it was???? As a manager you cant explain to me what the policy is and why today it is different. So I told her I knew the threshold strip I had just purchased a few days earlier with my CC so I was not sure why her computer did not pick that up. So she ran it again this time just that one item and sure enough it refunded the money. I asked why it did not pick it up a few minutes earlier again she did not know. This is a scam, not refunding your money without a receipt! I had left my name and number and asked to have a STORE manager call me that was 5 days ago not even a call from anyone. I called the 800 on the receipt and was told to fax item numbers Qty, over to them with my name and number store that items were purchased ect... I did that last week still waiting to hear back. I will not purchase from Lowes moving forward if they do not do the right thing, I know I go to Home Depot and no receipt no problem.
