Went in to get rat poison. Noticed all the Christmas decorations- trees lights, etc. Was nice to see they had all bases covered. Wasn't sure where the rat poison was when a random employee asked if I needed any help. He said he wasn't sure as it was his first day but if he had to guess, it would be in the lawn and garden section and he pointed me in that direction. Yep. There it was, on the back wall with all the pesticides. They didn't have the huge bricks that kills them with one bite that I had before and was looking for but neither did the other hardware store that I went to. I got one of the few options that said KILLS RATS specifically one box and not just mice. Most of the boxes were opened and it seemed as though people were steaming packets out of the boxes. Overall, I'd say had a good experience. I had ordered something online and had it shipped to my store. As I was assembling it, it broke. Okay, let's be more specific, I was screwing the leg to the bottom and as I did the screw caused the particle board leg to split in two and fall apart. I had a delivery date on a Wednesday, got a call they forgot to pull it. Representative that called said they would make sure it delivered the next day. It never showed up, after 4-5 phone calls where they continued to send me to extensions that just rang, I went up to the store. Managers were gone, delivery coordinator was gone for the day...3PM. Showed up at 7AM next day and they ensured it would be delivered on Saturday, they were pulling it right then. No call on Saturday or Sunday. Called Corporate office, they said they'd have senior management call and get it resolved asap. Gave me a $25 gift card. Still no call, still no delivery almost a week later. Order cancelled. When did it become a thing to not acknowledge a question? I'll walk up to a worker in an isle and ask if they have an item. Without looking at me, they will walk away, stop a distance from me and pick something up, then turn to me and hold it out. No communication! Do they get some passive aggressive satisfaction by leaving a customer feeling snubbed only to deliver what they want while leaving them confused?? I think so. My mom decided to get her kitchen done. The kitchen was beyond outdated and was the same kitchen from when the house was built in the 70's. Let me first start by saying that we typically do business with Home Depot due to them having more locations. We looked into Home Depot and Lowe's for a kitchen remodel but Lowe's contacted us first. We spoke with Home Depot as well but Lowe's appeared to be more promising and was offering a deal on cabinetry at the time. A designer from North Carolina contacted my mom and told her that she would be working with her on this project. We thought it was weird that someone from North Carolina would be doing the design. Nonetheless, the ball appeared to be rolling. She told us that a contractor would need to come and take the measurements. Not any contractor, but a contractor that Lowe's provided. Using the contractor that Lowe's provide ensures that there are no hiccups with the design and installation. The contractor comes out and get the measurements and sends them to the designer. She starts showing us cabinets online trying to get an idea of what we wanted. This went on for a few weeks. Afterwards, we didn't hear anything. Finally, this guy named Kevin calls my mom and tells her that he's designing the kitchen!!??!? He asks my mom to come in and pick out the cabinets, so that he could come up with the design. Ironically, he already had the measurements. My first question is what happened to the lady from North Carolina? My mom just wants her kitchen done, so she didn't question it too much. My mom and our contractor goes into Lowe's (STORE # 0461) to meet Kevin and pick out cabinets. They picked out the cabinets and color they wanted. Kevin came up with the design and tells my mom what everything costs. When they reached an agreement, my mom paid for the cabinets and the installation. The custom cabinets were made and delivered. The cabinets took up the majority of the living room space due to all the boxes that were shipped. On November 8, 2023, the contractor that Lowe's provided came out to install the cabinets. Almost midway into installation the contractor noticed that the fit for the cabinets were not right. Installation was stopped. The cabinets that were sent was not the right fit for the measurements that were taken. Keep in mind, this is before the Thanksgiving Holiday. The contractor said he would let the designer know. No one for Lowe's was reaching out to my mother. In our mind, we assumed it was the contractors fault. No one reached out and apologized for the inconvenience, no one was calling to say what was going to take place after the error was made. We had to reach out to Lowe's to get some questions answered. When we reached out to them they said it was being worked on. Fast forward to December 2nd, I went inside Lowe's with our contractor and talked with Kenyetta Francis. Kenyetta informed us that the issue wasn't with the contractor but that the design for the install wasn't approved by the contractor. This means that Kevin didn't get the design finalized and approved. We sat down with Ms. Francis and went over the design for the kitchen. She explained to us that Lowe's was at fault and they would take care of the issue. Kevin "the same guy who screwed us" calls my mom and sister and told them about more cabinets that need to be ordered. He explained how much they would cost and claim that Lowes would be paying for part of it. My second question is why are we eating this mistake??!!?? Was it not bad enough to be without a kitchen for three months during the holiday season? Was it not enough to run behind Lowe's to see what was going on with our cabinet and installation order?? Instead of Lowe's saying that they apologize for the inconvenience that they caused, they ask for more money to correct a cabinet design that they messed up on. We're inconvenienced, our house is in chaos from cabinet boxes all over the place and appliances that has not been installed due to cabinet boxes being all over. We had other jobs that we needed to do but couldn't due to this delay. This has been the most unprofessional experience ever. We paid the money for the cabinets and the install and we were not treated fairly throughout this ordeal. Had we withheld funds we would've received better service. This was not a good year for our family and this experience has truly left a negative impact on us. We went into the new year with nothing finished. More cabinets were delivered on 1/2/24 but my mom had no clue of what Kevin had ordered to come. Keep in mind he ended up receiving more money from my mother for the correction. Fast forward to the contractor coming back out to finish the install. Guess what? The cabinets still was not correct. Installation stopped and Lowe's had to be contacted again. Problems continued and my mom settled on a kitchen that still is not what was ordered. Thousands of dollars gone. Don't go here. Go to Home Depot. The whole Dept needs to go. read more

AVOID this store if at all possible!!! I've been to this particular Lowe's on several occasions, and it's always a terrible experience. The customer service makes you want to throw something. I actually came here today because I needed a cedar plank to finish a job I've been working on and I knew they had the exact thing I needed, and figured I could avoid frustration this time around because I knew what I needed and where to get it. I was wrong. I went straight to the back and grabbed the piece of wood I needed, but it was too long and I needed to cut a couple feet off the board to assure it fit into my Honda Accord. When I asked an associate where I could cut the 10 foot plank, she told me their saw doesn't work. Y'all ... this is Lowe's. They Sell Saws I said, "I don't need a chop saw, I can just use a hand saw." And she told me "We don't have any for you to use." And commenced to tell me that I can purchase a saw and cut what I need. I told her that I didn't need to buy a saw. I have a saw. I just need a shorter plank to fit in my car. But she didn't budge. So I guess I'll give her points for being steadfast. She then pointed me to the saws on the other side of the store. I said "thanks" and walked across the store, 10-foot long plank in hand, found a hand saw, and cut two feet off the board right there in the aisle. But that's not all ... no, they teach all the employees how to be lazy around here. So when I get to the register, the cashier can't find the barcode on the piece of cedar and asks me how much it was. I told her I wasn't sure ... between 7-9 dollars, I think. And instead of going to find the price or calling on another associate to do so, this chick makes me, the customer, go check the price - all the way on the other corner of the store - and take a picture on my phone to show her. There were just so many problems, it was unthinkable. If you've been to this Lowe's and have not come out of the store believing you are turning into The Hulk because of your fierce anger, then congratulations to you. Worst Lowes I have ever been to. The workers are rude, stand around doing nothing, and don't know anything about the products and services they sell. They couldn't find the box of screws I ordered. I sat there for 10 minutes while they helped 2 other people who came after me. One played on their phone while I stood there not being helped. They stood there joking with each other for 5 minutes while customers lined up to be helped. And let me warn you, if you purchase lumber online and it says it is ready for pickup, it is actually not ready for pickup. I showed up and they said "yeah, it says that, but we never pull it before you come get it". I waited an hour and a half before I could get my lumber and 1 box of screws picked up. I needed two small items , found them (great selection) went to check out there were 8 to 12 people in line waiting for two self serve check out with one Associate Waited in line for five minutes the associate looked down the line and said that the return counter also will check you out so I proceeded down there were three workers one was on the phone the other was checking in some returned items and the other one was conducting a job interview after the associate who was finished with the returned items simply walked off with three people lined up at his register I waited 15 minutes for the associate to either get off the phone or the job interview to be over or for someone to come back to operate the third register this never happened so I left my merchandise in return area and left the store when a short distance to a similar store in area found the same merchandise and no problems checking out and leaving the store read more

I don't know what it is with this Lowes and the one on South Mall but no one wants to work. I get attitude each time I come from multiple people. I had a huge renovation project of 5 fourplexes and they could never get my online order done in a timely fashion and seem to care less. Lowes was easier to get to but I started sending all my orders to Home Depot. In the last 3 months HD has gotten $95k of my business. Sorry Lowes, you could have had this. I'm deeply saddened by the way business was conducted at this store I stay approximately 2 hours away but since I was in this area on Friday I went into the store and purchased a Samsung Refrigerator and I was told originally that they would have to order the refrigerator!!! Well I was contacted later by Mr. Jones, who stated he noticed they had one in the back of the warehouse and he asked me when would I like to have it delivered.. He informed me that he can have it delivered to me on Sunday... Jones mentioned that someone would contact me Sunday morning to notify me about the delivery !!! So 10 am came around and I was never notify so I contacted the store and I had to call them back approximately 5 times .. 2 times the person working the desk hung up on me and 3 times they transferred me and no one answered!!! I still stayed calm and but was extremely upset because I couldn't get any help!! I was told that the delivery manager was not in but later found out someone lied to me!! I later spoke with the manager who was not very helpful and not to mention I contacted several other stores n got the same response!!! If I didn't have to give a star, I wouldn't. Suffice it to say I have an uninstalled washer in my laundry room (which was delivered several days after the date specified in the purchase). Since I did not realize I had to purchase the hoses separately, delivery people would not connect. Now, I can't get anyone to come back and install. I've tried a home repair service, but they won't install due to issues with the warrantee. The delivery people have said they will come on a particular day, then did not come. They have claimed to call, but I received no calls. I will never buy another appliance from Lowes. read more

On 10/23/2016 after the great flood in Louisiana, my wife and I special ordered a Jacuzzi tub, drain kit, heater, tub and the surround. On 10-31-2016 we received an automated message that our items had arrived at the store. On 11-1-2016 I called the store to verify our items had arrived. After 20 minutes on the phone they came back and told us they had indeed arrived. On 11-6-2016 I told my plumber to be at my house by 10 am and I would have the items there. My wife and I proceeded to the Lowe's to pick up our items. The customer service girl left to go find them. One hour later she came back with the heater for the Jacuzzi tub and stated she could not find the other items. I politely asked her to find a manager and have him search with her as I received the automated call and called the following day and they verified they had arrived. She did so and again about an hour later came back and told me all there was is the heater. She stated the manager was on his way to speak with me. He finally came 45 minutes later !! He stated he helped her look but would go back and to give him 10 minutes as he may have an idea where the items are. 50 minutes later he comes and tells us they do not have them but he thinks maybe they are in one of the three trailers they received the Monday before and would call me that afternoon when they unloaded them. Well he never called. I waited till 11-8-2016 with no call. I called the corporate office to get some help. After an hour on the phone with a lady telling her what happened and being on hold most of it she came back to tell me she has verified all of my items except for the drain kit was in. Well guess what back to Lowe's we went that evening. OH guess what else?? They could not find any items for us but the heater they found the first time. 11-9-2016 my wife receives a call from the lowe's we bought the items at to tell her everything had arrived. She said are you positive it is everything and not just the heater? He stated let me check. He verified that it all was there. Back to lowe's again we went just to be told they have no idea who from there called but they didn't have all of our items. I called Lowe's corporate again on 11-9-2016 to find someone whom matters. I was told the "Marketing Mgr" would contact me by end of business 11-10-2016. Well here it is 11-10-2016 no it's not the end of business but it's almost 4pm and I am furious. They deserve this horrible review. I hope anyone in Louisiana that see's this takes all their Fema money and or Flood Insurance money and goes to Home Depot ! I purchased a washer and dryer on Sept. 4, 2016. The delivery was scheduled for today, Oct. 1st at 1:00. Due to the Louisiana flood, they had a back up for deliveries, so the 1st was OK. It now 6:34 pm. I have not received my washer and dryer, nor have I heard from anyone concerning the delivery. I can tell you that at 2:20 I called Lowe's, I was put on hold so they could check my time my for delivery. I was on hold for 40 minutes when someone else came to the phone, I explained again that I was checking on my delivery for today. They were to transfer me to delivery but hung up the phone. To keep this a little short, I called a total of 8 times and was either hung up on or no one answered for these 8 times. I tried one of the other local stores and was hung up on or did not answer. I called Lowe's Customer Service and explained my problem, he placed me on hold to call them, when he came back he told me that he also could not get them to answer the phone. He could not understand what was going on. I cannot understand how a company of this caliber can run a business like this. I am disappointed, upset and down right mad. At least they could give customers a call to let them know if they will not be able to deliver that day. I am about ready to let them keep the items and go somewhere else to purchase my appliances. Beware if you plan on buying granite countertops from Lowe's and their GNL contractor. To start off you have to go to Slidell to select the slab you want. We struggled with this decision and returned on a Saturday and chose an alternate. It was pricey but we were excited to have finally made the decision. They came out and measured, we decided to have window sills installed to match countertops. When they came for installation they were installing window sills that did not match the countertops. It's been 3 months and we still don't have a solution, the slab they sold us did not have enough and they made a mistake and tried to slide the unmatched window sills in without telling us of the problem. If we would have been notified I would not have removed my perfectly good wood window sills, and doing so damaged the sheetrock. I'm having to negotiate a settlement with the contractor? Really, you would think that Lowe's would take the lead, but that has not been the case. I've sent an email to Lowe's but I have not had a response. read more
