First let me say I HATE the dentist office. I always have and always will. Now that I've gotten that out of the way. This was my first time going to Lovett. I haven't been to the dentist in over 5 years besides getting my wisdom teeth pulled in college. Pros: Sidney, the dental assistant, is great! She's nice and funny. I was nervous because she told me my pulse was high but she helped make me laugh. The Dr. is funny also. Cons: The wait time is short but I was there two hours. 45 minutes of that was after they told me I need a root canal. The front desk person was out so the manager was doing a million things at once. I was waiting to sign papers and I finally had to get up and say, "I really have to go back to work." The manager is a bit pushy. I felt like I was in one of those timeshare or sales situations where they try to sell you something right then and there. He seemed upset that I couldn't get my root canal done that day. I have a job. I can't just call them and say, "Oh hey I'm not coming back today or tomorrow." I told him I would try for next week but the vacation day still had to be approved. He finally agreed but he didn't like it. I don't have dental insurance so a root canal for one tooth is $2442.00. That's pretty pricy for one tooth. I'm new to this so I don't really know how much its supposed to cost. Overall it's a great place its just busy and the manager is aggressive but I think its because he was trying to do too much by himself. The nurses are nice though. When I gain the courage I'll go back for the root canal. read more

The worst dentist office I ever been to. I called ahead of time to ask if they accept my insurance, they said they did. I showed up 15 min early for my appt and had to sit and wait there for 50 min as the front desk girl verified if they did in fact, accept my insurance. Afterward, she told me I had to pay a copay. Which is incorrect because this office is in network for my insurance and since they accept my insurance, it is 100% covered. I even called my insurance afterward to double check and they told me that yes, 100% covered and no copay. But not only were they unethically charging my insurance for money, and charging me a copay. They also were attempting to charge me additional fees, that they called "corporate fees" that is for the dentists' gloves and other PPE. I have never heard of a dental office charging patients additional fees to cover the dentists gloves.... I ended up walking out after waiting for an hour. This place is totally unethical and unorganized, and a total dump on top of that. I would warn anyone away from corporate dental offices. read more

Totally scam. They are offering the first time patient promotion for $69 get a teeth cleansing. BUT! Once you go in, X-ray are $50, then they will told you that! Your gum is more than 5mm. Avoid this office if you can. I came in yesterday for a cleaning and a filling on a back tooth. They tried to scam me for $50 on a basic cleaning that is supposed to be covered by my insurance. Some kind of upsell with an irrigation of some sort that I was not cleared on. Also, I had been quoted for $90 to get a cracked tooth filled, and this office wanted to charge me $150. I took out my quote to show the billing person and asked if they could be competitive in pricing. Ended up paying $107 for that filling. Overall, I would not go back to this office. There are a lot of dental offices in the area, so there is bound to be a decent dentist with reasonable pricing who will not try to nickel & dime you. Do your homework and call for a quote if you have to. We need to be smart consumers. read more

This has to be the worst dental office I've been to in my life. My boyfriend went here because it was in network for his insurance. He needed a tooth pulled that day, and the front desk people were questionable. Apparently they don't really work there but are temp, so while the lady was nice, the man was condescending and spoke to us as if we were children. After we finally made it to the back room with the doctor, they gave my boyfriend local anesthesia and gave it time to numb. A few minutes pass, and the doctor is trying to immediately extract the tooth regardless of my boyfriend stating he can feel everything. Doc applied more anesthesia, literally the tiniest bit as I was watching him do it. Tries to pull the tooth again, and boyfriend can still feel everything. Doc insists he is just feeling pressure not pain. Would not listen to the patient at all. Then says he will do more anesthesia, and just puts it down on the table and holds my boyfriends head down and shoved the tool in his mouth and starts yanking at the tooth trying to pull it out. Boyfriend is struggling as he's being held down, and I tell the doc to stop right now. How can you not listen to the patient?? We went to an oral surgeon for the extraction who said the dentist literally left nerves exposed and broke his tooth. Do not use this office for your dental needs! read more

Wife just left crying with our son after waiting 2 hours & no service. We just left. Their response when we asked how long it would be....."any second now". We will be paying more for PPO from HMO. Yes it was that bad. The same receptionist forgot to give us ortho surgeon for an appointment 2 months ago. Then dentist grills us why we didn't follow-up. Our fault for not hounding them for every day for surgeon's contract info that they promised to provide in order to follow-up on their dentist's recommendation. Yes, we had an "emergency" appointment made the same morning and had to reschedule for later that day. Just be honest if we are to wait for no-shows in order to be seen. Please don't tell us that we will be seen in "one second" when we have to wait 2 hours later and then finally you told the truth that we may not be seen that day. What a waste of time. Pediatrician dentist only available 1 day a week. Otherwise you'll have to schedule at their other locations and move your primary dental care there. What a headache. The first time I went here, they heavily pushed invisible braces. Fine I just dealt with it and thought yea, that's what dentist do. My teeth are beyond fine (like people have asked if I ever had braces, I have not), swept it under the rug. Then when I tried to make an appointment, their online appointment system wasn't working. Calling only gets through on certain times/days. Some staff don't wear masks. We are never going here again. I think they may be too large to provide proper service. SUMMARY: Young son needed tooth extracted. Booked "emergency" appointment. Waited 2 hours, lied to about when he'll be seen, & LEFT after receiving no service. Left crying. They told me that my teeth were bleeding in which they never do and they had no blood to show me at all. Next, they told me I needed some kind of oil antibiotic; irrigation. He was going to charge me 388 for my whole mouth for the deep cleaning. I decided to get a second opinion. It turns out I have not a single cavity. And they charged me $200 for the deep cleaning as per my insurance! She showed me a book with my metlife plan and all the prices. I think this place is a scam. They are DISHONEST. The dental hygienist that examined me told me I needed deep cleaning and "antibiotic" treatment. They also said I had greater than 5 mm pockets in almost all my teeth. Estimated cost of cleaning about $1500. Total Bullshit. They also tried to scare me by saying that I'd lose all my teeth by the time I am 40 years old. I got a second opinion from a private practice dentist and he said I had less than 3.5 mm pockets in most of my teeth and only regular cleaning was needed. Cost was $85. It is obvious after talking with these folks and consulting with my insurance company their number one concern is not patient satisfaction but it is to see how fast the patients and insurance company's keep paying steep prices. Complete scam. They were out for my money and recommended a root canal, messed up a filling which needs to be redone. Unprofessional manager filing incorrect paperwork (needed to get my company to call them a few times to straighten out their mistake) and Dr. Rosario made some rather inappropriate sexist comment about female hormones causing the anxiety I felt about dental procedure (I was put in a hospital at age 6 because of improper handling of dental instruments so no). He acted rude when I needed to be private about separate health concern of family (it is not something to talk about in public). I have massive dental anxiety, so I have not been to anyone since "my" dentist for 13 years. So...I was an "emergency" when I came to know this office. I had no where else to go since it was a Friday. Not being able to control my pain I walked in with no appointment and was seen relatively quickly. After some radiographs I got the good news that I needed massive work done to get the incredible pain to stop. SIX AND A HALF HOURS LATER: I walked out numb from my jaw to my nose, but mouth fixed. FABULOUS POINTS: -happy to see me on a Friday -happy to see me on an "emergency" basis -explained everything wrong 3-4 times just to make sure I understood -offered three options, all of which they had no hesitation to do on a FRIDAY afternoon --provided tissues as I cried and were very understanding (because I was tired and in pain) -started work right away -let me have a minute to have a minor panic attack during procedures (*notice the plural*) -dental assistant always stayed with me during the breaks while doctor went to appointments that, by working on me, he was running late on -dental assistant always wiped away my tears (from anxiety) -everyone was trying to laugh and joke with me and others to keep the mood light Although I did NOT want to go anywhere but my normal dentist just because I am absolutely terrified of dental offices, I am grateful I had an emergency and allowed me to find this wonderful office. read more

Great staff ! Went in for a cleaning back in May and they pointed out a deeper issue . Even though I still wanted a cleaning they would not do it because of the existing issue I had. They did not bill me but referred me to another dentist that specializes in the procedure. I just moved to Austin and will have to find a specialist out here . I was having issues with my dental insurance provider and I could not have been more frustrated, they (my dental insurance jerks) provided me with a list of over 100 dentists in the Houston area but after calling just over 35 dentist offices and visiting in-person 9 other dentist offices I found only frustration and dissapointment. I went for a regular cleaning and out of nowhere they insisted on antibiotic infections, just because they didn't have anything else to charge. No explanations or a medical reason, just have them. And that was after an hour of waiting, supposedly for the insurance. After I declined it and told them I was just there for the cleaning included in my insurance, the assistant proceeded to the worst cleaning I have ever had. I went to this place to get my teeth cleaned. I was a new patient and they took 1.5 hours to process my paperwork and get the X-rays done. I've been to other places before and no one ever took this much long. And then the dentist who cleaned my teeth was so pushy with her treatments. She wanted me to get my wisdom teeth removed ASAP for no apparent reason. And kept saying that all the time she was cleaning. And she did not even do a good job of cleaning. And these guys changed me 38$ for "Oral Hygene Instructions" ! An what did she say ? Don't eat anything cold for the next 30 mins and floss regularly. Uh ok ! I know how to google. Thank you. Did not feel cared for at all. Was given false information about wisdom teeth removal surgery and they also tried to over-charge me for 4 bone grafts which my insurance did not cover. When I went to a different Lovett this one didn't even send over the X-rays so the process had to be redone. The new lovett also said the bone grafts were not necessary- saving me 800. I came here after going to another dentist appt and being disappointed at the doctors bedside manner while doing the check up. I arrived at Lovett because both my daughters go there. Enver the manager was very polite and helpful, he was able to fit me in the same day and introduced me to Dr. Rosario. The doctor was so friendly and funny but best of all a perfectionist at his work and completely delivered what he promised. The doctors assistant was very nice as well I believe her name was Melissa and not to mentioned the lady that cleaned my teeth. The entire staff deserves an A+. If you like being over-charged for unnecessary dental work, in a filthy dentist office, this is the place for you, I was given a $4,000 diagnosis for root canals and a cap etc. I went for a second opinion and she laughed. I would recommend this office. Dr. Rosario is a great dentist. He is knowledgable, friendly, and puts me at ease. The facility is clean and fully staffed. Only negative thing is that office can get busy and there's some wait time. Otherwise, I'm pretty happy with the service here. read more
