I had a very unpleasant experience at this location on Tuesday, October 21, 2025, around 3:30 PM. The store manager -- Britney -- spoke to me in a rude and disrespectful tone in front of other customers. Her attitude was unprofessional and humiliating. As a paying customer, I expect basic courtesy and respect. This kind of treatment is unacceptable, especially from a manager. I hope Love's corporate addresses this issue and reminds their staff about the importance of professionalism and customer service. read more

Complaint Regarding Poor Service and Wrong Parts at Love's Truck Care To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to formally express my deep dissatisfaction with the service received at one of your Love's Truck Care locations. This experience has been the worst in my 15 years in the trucking industry and has resulted in financial loss, operational delays, and significant frustration for both myself and my driver. One of my drivers visited your shop due to a non-functional AC system. The mechanic, Andrew, diagnosed a Freon leak and later informed us that a new AC compressor was needed. We were told the job would be completed the same day. However, the timeline kept getting pushed back due to additional issues--first, problems sourcing a hose from the dealership, and then a claim that a second hose was damaged during installation. My driver had a delivery to make and had to leave before the job was completed. After that, your shop called demanding payment for unfinished work. I questioned why payment was due when the job wasn't completed. They insisted the truck must return before any resolution could be made. My driver turned around--driving 300 miles back, wasting fuel, time, and disrupting his delivery schedule. Once back, we were informed of yet another issue: now the newly installed compressor didn't fit properly, and they blamed the dealership for providing incorrect parts. Despite these problems being entirely due to misdiagnosis and mishandling by the Love's team, we were charged $1,600, even though the original estimate was $1,400, and no working AC system was delivered. We were essentially forced to pay, or they would not release the truck. After this ordeal, I directed my driver to bring the truck to another mechanic in Ohio. Their assessment was shocking: Love's had installed the wrong compressor, and in the process damaged multiple hoses trying to make it work. I had to purchase a new compressor and hoses from a local dealership, which cost less than what Love's charged. Now, I'm left with wrong parts, damaged hoses, and $1,600 lost due to the negligence and poor service at your shop. I attempted to resolve this with the location manager, but was told the issue is "above his pay grade." I am requesting a full refund of $1,600, as no working repair was performed, and your team caused more damage rather than resolving the original issue. I am hoping Love's Corporate will do the right thing here. Until then, I have instructed all my drivers to avoid all Love's mechanic shops and will be sharing this experience with my peers in the trucking community. read more

Not a good stop at all. associates there walk away from registers while there is a line building up to service coffee when we waited our turn. other associate at other register got on the phone and refused to finish checking us out until he was done with his phone call. Their bathrooms are disgustingly filthy. I've been to other Love's and have had great experiences but this specific one is not it at all. Never stopping here again. read more

Morning coffee and it was definitely morning as I stopped here at 6:00 am. Everything was well stocked with cups, lids, creamers, sweeteners and lots of coffee. A trucker dude was filling a liter-sized thermos with coffee while I made my own. The store also has all the breakfast things you might want if you're into sweet packaged carbohydrates or maybe a roller grill hot dog is more your speed. I've had plenty of Loves in my day, and this one is one of the better ones. I'm a big fan of this particular Love's gas station. It's in Willis on the way from Dallas to Houston. If you're heading south it's on the right side of the highway for you. It looks shiny and new, as if it was just put here. The facilities are good and we both appreciate it. I usually don't give a corporate chain truck stop more than a three but this one actually deserves 4. read more

This morning around 5am 3/13/25 i came in to take a shower after my partner took his, but once he came back to the car he was telling me about a Karen Lacey W that was giving him a hard time when he was getting his shower. You need his ID for HIS account or something??? We go inside, Lacey is nowhere to be found so we went to the front cashier. Shortly Lacey comes back and 2 other people got in her line and Lacey tells them to go the to front cashier.... We walk up and her body language, energy and attitude was VERY telling. Acting like the scanner doesn't work when she used it for his shower.... Then says "is this a screenshot oh i can't scan it". How tf you can't do something you did less than a hour ago?? My partner tried to pay for it instead after about a minute of back and forth and unnecessary attitude. Mid payment since Lacey can't handle being called out on her wrongs acts like someone supposed to beg for a shower and yells "I can cancel your shower you want me to cancel it" proceeds to cancel. I've never seen someone so ready to not give someone a shower or have such a disgusting attitude , all this at 5am mind you. More back and forth, the manager can't even walk into work but i see why she's a manager and Lacey's just an employee. The manager did what she couldn't because she lacks intelligence and full of hate. Lacey would be better off cleaning showers & the restrooms, no one deserves to see that face or deal with such an evil spirit. read more

They are more worried about making money for gas than to help any truckers out with issues with their truck. So do not expect them to help you with anything they are the worst and have no customer service very rude and condescending management. I came here to get my propane tanks filled for my rv. I kept smelling gas coming out of the release valve of my tank. I found out they overfilled my tank by 20 lbs. that tank could have exploded or burned my rv down. I will never be using this place again read more

Do not use this shop for truck repairs! We went in for the bunk air blowing hot and told them we thought it was a valve under the sleeper. We left 2 days later with a bill of $1464.00 and nothing fixed. They just said they fixed parts that needed replaced. We had the AC compressor and dryer fixed a week earlier on the road for $975. They have a great selection of snacks for the road. I was put off by the lack of cleanliness. Provided it is Memorial Day weekend and travel stops are generally higher than most weekends. The cabinet under the soda machine where they store the foam cups we drink from was open and filthy. The counter sink next to the slushees was filthy. The floor throughout the store had trash in every area I looked. Makes me wonder if the ice machines are cleaned and the food serving surfaces. I don't like leaving reviews, but I'm hoping this will encourage a stricter cleaning program. read more

On my way home and this is the first truck stop when you get to Willis. You can't miss their sign heading south. I pulled in for gas because they had a low price; pretty new place and well maintained. The restrooms were clean as well as the store area. Well laid out as everything of need was in the center; doors leading to the front, back and side (where the large trucks fill up). Friendly people; overall, very good. The bad: I ordered a hotdog (the smoked cheese sausage). While it was very good, the bread was so stale, it broke apart in my hands. The ends even fell off. Have you ever had to eat a hotdog on old bread? It falls apart just trying to put it in your mouth. If you put mustard on, now the mustard is all over your shirt, pieces falling down in your lap. It is a mess. Too bad, too - I was set to give it a 5 star rating. Come on, take some of that $2.18 you charge for the hotdog and get fresh bread! Side note: watch what they charge for sales tax: they got $.03 more out of me on just a $1.99 item. read more

This is a nice truck stop. Clean and the staff are courteous. Restrooms are always clean. It has a 24h subway and a Wendy's that closes at 2am. Plenty of truck parking (if you get there early) but leave it to the trucks they'll find parking even if it's blocking the entrance. read more
