I don't know why others have problems, for me this was a great stop as we're nearly done crossing Missouri and about to enter Illinois for a minute and then Kentucky. This Love's was easy to access, find parking and pop inside. As usual, the restroom was clean and I hit the green button to indicate so as I headed out to grab a cup of fresh coffee. I love that Love's does the ground-to-order and they have all the fixings here and ready. A few ice cubes, some creamer and I'm ready to roll for another few hours! Self-checkout worked great. This place is useless. I am broke down and after originally being told 2 1/2 to 3 hours, then told 25-30 minutes, 4 hours and 45 minutes later I'm still broke down. Upon calling them I find out that they allowed the ONLY MECHANIC to clock out...even though they knew I was waiting. The mechanic for the next shift, had not arrive yet and should've already been clocked in. This is not the first time I've had issues with this store. They told me 2 hours to replace a mud flap...a 5 minute job. They told me last winter they couldn't replace my coolant filter because they didn't have any. They either make you wait or can't do it. This Love's Truck Stop isn't crazy busy and much calmer here than most Love's. The store is smaller than many of the Love's so maybe this is the reason. I found clean restrooms, fewer big trucks, smoother traffic flow at the pumps and a extremely polite cashier. The shelves were well stocked and organized without clutter (boxes) in the isles. They carry all the familiar sandwiches, hot dogs, snacks, fresh fruit, jerky, fountain drinks, cold beverages and souvenirs (hats, sunglasses, sandals, shirts, stuffed animals). If you prefer a smaller, slower paced Love's then check this one out. Clean store and restrooms, polite cashiers, all the goodies we want with easy on/off ramps. read more

I stopped with my elderly parents to get gas, buy some drinks, and use the restroom. My dad has dementia and sometimes has difficulty managing the restroom on his own. Dad was wearing his Veteran's ball cap and he had an accident in his pants. Three men, who worked here at Love's stepped forward to help. I'm not sure if Mr. Jackson, who helped the most, was even an employee. He mentioned to my mother that this was not the first time he assisted a Veteran. The men helped him maintain his dignity and took him to a shower to get cleaned up. Mr. Jackson helped my father shower. The female employee told us not to worry and she would clean up any mess left behind. The compassion and kindness the staff displayed was above and beyond anything I would have expected. I cried at their level of caring for my father. They were superheroes! Thank you Mr. A. Jackson, staff, and management! read more

My experience with Loves Travel Stops are that generally they do an ok job of keeping the place clean and orderly, I am sure it comes down to management. Sadly this is not one of them, in fact as Loves go, IMHO and experience this is one of the less well run and not especially clean. Other better choices abound. read more

My name is Amie Hicks-Russell. I am employed or was employed at Love's store 761 until today September 5 2021 after being told by Steven the Operations Manager that I was being fired for stealing. The Friday prior I checked out myself for a pair of earbuds these earbuds had ring up 14.99 but prior to this a customer the same week purchased the same earbuds and a charging cord that rang up 9.99. So with employees always being allowed to price override which in the past ahs been ok'd by managers me doing so Steven said nonetheless was still wrong. In no way did I try to hide the fact that yes I rang myself up and ye sit did the price override because we as employees have always been able to do so. I personally work at the diesel desk and managers helping us is often rare. We do price overrides, we void transactions etc so this isn't something I even thought about not doing. My concern is every since I reached out a few weeks back and filed a complaint with HR in regards to how myself and another manager had an altercation and that I felt as though I was ganged up on I've felt I've been treated differently l. Not only that but when a specific manager found out myself and another employee named Michelle went to Mike the GM and complained about her and how favoritism is taking place on shifts instantly rude comments began coming from the manager. Steven was very rude to be in the office I explained the situation and even told him I still had my receipt he then bluntly accused me of stealing and saying that I was a theift more more so or less. I will not tolerate someone and claiming an accusation like he did. I rang myself of up and did price overrides because we are constantly left wbck at diesel desk alone we are given the ok always to do the price override and or voids etc as long as we keep our receipts. I think this was a way for Love's to be able to fire me and think it's legal and that far from the case. In the same week ear pods we well as chargers where scanned and rang up as 9.99. Yet now all of a sudden they are 14.99 and not 9.99 and I can't ring myself up makes no sense. Unless I made a mistake on my part those ear pods are the same ones that rang up at 9.99 also if we aren't allowed to ring ourselves up how come it's ok for us to do it on certain shifts but not other's. How come these false allegations are being put on me a week after myself and another employee went and complained about favoritism on the shift which I'm being accused of "stealing" from. I price overrided an item which prior had rang up at 9.99 on our store could I have made a mistake and mixed up the ear pods absolutely but at no point eie Steven say hey you may have screwed up and yo u did to cover said amount for ear pods. He bluntly told me that if I went to HR that loss prevention would press charges again me. Who says that? Someone who's trying to force me out the door and scare me. Well I may have made a mistake but I'm a good employee who kept her receipt after her purchase and no I didn't try to hide the product nor did I deny the fact that I purchased it. I also again rang myself up because we have constantly been told to price override in the past I have purchased a shaving kit which didn't ring up and yet the customer prior had the same thing who rang up and all I did was get a shaving kit rang it up price overrided it and kept my receipt. Now it's an issue however now that I went to HR a month or so and complained about how a manager spoke to be in a disrespectful manner etc while customers where present. Now me ringing myself up and price over riding something is an issue now that myself and another employee complained about favoritism on a shift.Steven soad today that I stole however just a few days ago it was found out that someone on the management team or employee was wasting things like phone chargers etc and allowing people from the shop to use them. Now that's stealing where are these people the ones actually stealing from the company. I was wrongfully terminated today and want a representative to contact me from HR. The crew is always courteous, and greet you the minute you come in. My only complaint is the sinks in the men's restroom. I'm an adult. I know how to turn a knob to get the damn faucet on. Three people all at the sink and none of us can get this automated shit to work. I eventually walked out to the soda station and rinsed the soap off of my hands with the water there. My family came here at roughly 2 am and there were 2 workers. I definitely understand that they would be more backed up. But my cousin at one point walked up to the counter and the woman behind the counter just left. And there was a line of about 10 people. Multiple people including my cousin put their items back and left because the wait was so long. Subway was no better. I went there with my siblings, there was about 2 people in front of us and 1 worker. I expect to wait a while, no big deal. I've worked at subway I understand. The wait time was way longer. A gas station stop that should have taken 25-30 minutes was well into an hour. And The "sand which artist" had a poor attitude also. Bathrooms were clean though. read more

This review is for the Love's at N. Broadway and Hwy 70 in North St Louis. They must know how bad they are because I couldn't find a yelp page for that location. It is horrible. Dirty disgusting and the worst service ever. I would recommend to anyone that you keep on driving and stop at the next gas stop instead of this one. I called and asked to speak to the manager and a woman came to the phone and was just as rude and the store is disgusting. No wonder the store and employees are the way they are. Yuck! read more

I just had a very disappointing experience here. I pulled in to swipe my card and the pump locked up. I tried pushing cancel/help to no avail. I finally walked inside. They were clueless at the counter. She finally got someone to help her and after waiting several minutes, told me that it's just pump #6 and that I can move to another pump. So before going out to change pumps and fill-up, since I was already inside, I waited in line at Chester's Chicken to place my order. I had driven 2 hours and specifically stopped here to get their gizzards. The lady at the counter was so short with me. "We don't have no gizzards." Even though I could tell I was getting on her nerves, I asked if they were out or just didn't have any cooked. She said they just didn't have any cooked and there was no one to cook them. I was terribly disappointed. I truly believe that she just didn't want to cook them for me. I saw over 10 employees at Love's and nobody seemed to be getting much done.
