I've checked in for a shower at 2:30 am so no one is usually for showers and it's been a hour and some change waiting for showers. When I talked to the clerk they said they aren't allowed to let people shower at night but they are being courteous to the drivers keeping one opened. We came into this truck stop to get some drinks for the road. The associates working here are so friendly and keep the store clean. All the workers greet their customers while in the store. All the drink machines were all working which is a big deal for me. We stopped at Chester's and got some food wouldn't recommend the mash with gravy but I would recommend coming into the store!!! read more

Unfortunately due to the traffic and it taking us 20 minutes to get out I would have to downgrade this to 1 star. I will not go again. The 18 wheelers and the cars all merge into one area and it is a nightmare! You have a bunch of 18 wheelers sleeping and taking up one of the lanes. They need to have someone out directing traffic. For a travel center Love's is very clean. For $4.99 you can get a salad or wrap, which were pretty decent. We made a pit stop here for gas and to use the toilet. Bathrooms were clean and employees were kind enough. If you need to make a stop for snacks, gas station meal, gas or bathroom this Love's Travel Center is a pretty decent choice. If we came back through here and decided go stop here again I wouldn't be disappointed. read more

Just OK, we had been looking for a spot to boondock with our travel trailer while driving about an hour south of Atlanta, some place that felt safe to go in back for some shuteye. At last we found this stop and I needed to fill up with gas. The pumps are very close to the building and getting around and through was complicated but we made it. The only 2 good spots were filled with other Campers so we set up near the McDonalds in an unlevel area. It was noisy, which we can't blame on the Loves but the fact that it was tight and cramped and noisy makes it a less than desirable stopping place. A larger rig would have been jammed into the gas pump area. read more

I was recently driving a Uhaul truck from Illinois to Florida. We spent the night in Macon. When we departed that morning, I noticed one of the front tires looked low. We stopped at the Love's Truck Center and one of the very friendly and helpful techs checked the air in the tire; checked for nails, etc.; and added some air - no charge. These guys were absolutely SLAMMED with business so for the to take out a few minutes and check on me was amazing! They gave me peace of mind to continue my travels to Florida. read more

Whenever I am travelling South on I-75 from Atlanta to Florida, I always find that I need to take a break, get some fuel both for the car and myself, and basically just relax for a little while instead of the mindless drone of Interestate traffic... and for some reason that time alsmost always seems to occur just to the South of Macon. This is where Love's Travel Shop comes into play. Situated just to the South of the I-75 bypass for Macon, there are plenty of gas pumps and lots of space to stretch your legs. The times that I have been the bathrooms have been clean and I've not had a problem. I've had the hotdogs here, and they were also fine, particularly since I was able to use the adjoining Subway's seating area to sit down and eat them in peace. The one thing to watch out for is the truck congestion... they are a major trucking stop, and getting in and out of the parking lot can be interesting with all of the trucks going in and out as well. Just be forewarned, take your time, and you will be fine. read more

The mechanics they yell at you to make them selfs feel better than you .The security black guy is very rude and disrespectful and is not afraid to curse at a paying customers. The mechanics are bossy and lazy they call me in to park in shop they ran to lunch to have a buffet they are smoking and partying with music outside. I never indulge in gas station food, but we were leaving Savannah and getting gas at this stop and I just had to get me a pizza, I use to love Godfathers back in the day and nothing changed! Stopped in on my way back to Florida and was thrilled when I seen a fenced in dog park. We had been on the road for awhile and I was excited about letting my dog stretch his legs. Unfortunately other people that use this area do not pick up after their dogs and there is a lot of poop in there. Even with poop bags provided. Oof. Still a great amenity. Friendly enough staff. Lots of drink and food options. Love's is my favorite gas station to stop at while on a road trip. read more

Well if you're not in a truck this'll do in a pinch. However as truck stops go only in an emergency and then it better be dire! This place is always over crowded trucks parked everywhere! Great location but needs twice the room! As for repairs... Good luck was put on hold the second I called and asked if I still wanted to wait for the restaurant when they finally picked up! We stopped for gas and hoped to find a bite to eat. Bathrooms were CLEAN, floors being mopped, etc. We had chicken at Chesters which was very good. Robert Lyons was working the line. Not only was he very pleasant, he checked on us a couple of times while we ate, and never stopped moving....emptying trash twice, etc. He is a HARD worker. Love's, give him a raise! Nice fenced area in back for dogs to play which was great! This will be a must stop for us in the future, coming and going to FL from Michigan. Went to Godfather's Pizza and ordered the value meal no. 1 off the online menu. Was rang up $4 more than listed price. Someone ordered for me so I didn't realize til he got back to the office. Well come to find out they don't carry that item. Instead of telling him they just rang him up separately for the items so it was almost $10! I won't be going back. The manager said she was sorry but they didn't honor the menu! She first tried to tell me they used the express menu and when I told her that's what it was listed on she became tongue tied and just stuttered that she would have to find out for me. The lady who rang me up in loves was nice but the lady in subway was so incredibly rude. I don't know how someone who talks to customers like that have a job in customer service. Literally didn't even look up at me once and straight up said are you wanting food, what do you want, what kind of bread, meat, toasted? Like interrupted me and asked the next question before I could answer when I was waiting until she wasn't busy to help me. So freaking rude. Whatever you do don't stop at the Chesters Chicken at this location and expect to eat chicken livers. On 3 separate occasions I have stopped and they are out and do not even attempt or ask if they could cook some for me. A total lack of customer service. I would go somewhere else to eat. We stopped here for a quick bite to eat and we were told by the cook at Chester's that if we wanted potato wedges it would be a 10 minute wait. He was super nice at first and I ordered the number 3. I also ordered a medium drink. My son and his dad came up with their food from GF pizza. The total was over $30. I did not have any food yet because of the wedges not being done, however, I did see the cook place 3 tenders and a biscuit into a box. I assumed he was waiting for the wedges to be done before he handed me anything. When the wedges were done, the cook stated that he already gave me the chicken and I ate it and claimed I wanted another order for free! When I tried to calmly say that he never gave me the box, he began arguing loudly with me in front of several other customers who were in line. I told him to get the manager and he said it's fine I'll give you a second order but you know I already gave you that chicken. At this point I was furious and the manager, Danny Patel came out and spoke with me. He was very nice and said he would handle the situation and he also apologized for the cook's behavior.
