Bleh. Nothing outstanding about Kwik Shop. I've been spoiled. Badly spoiled by QuikTrip. Other…read moreconvenience stores have a huge bar to reach. This is a busy store by an exit on a state highway. It is situated in a small town so they do a great volume here. This is the equivalent of a small town mall. They offer all the things a convenience store should offer. They have gasoline, refrigerator filled walls of drink assortments, candy, more gum than anyone could ever chew, beef jerky, cigarettes and lottery tickets. Standard convenience store fare. Everything seems to be in order and there appears to be a wide selection of products. I found myself inside the store when I went to get gas and the pump could not read my card. I decided this was a good chance to grab a sandwich for lunch tomorrow. They had a wide variety of lunch foods in the cold case but they were pricey. I was going to get some cheese and beef jerky but the small pack was almost $5. No thanks! The cashier was very nice and pleasant. The store was clean. I just could not get past the prices.

Unlike the holy mess of an excuse, one-star crapper that sits at 19th and Massachusetts Streets in Lawrence, its sole purpose apparently to thumb their nose at folks with Dillon's cards wanting cheap gas. This Kwik Shop has things the 19th and Mass doesn't: - the gas pumps actually dispense gas quickly. No 5 minute waits while it drips into your gas tank. - there is actually water and soap in the window cleaning buckets so you can wash your window. - there are actually paper towels in the dispenser too, amazing. - the exterior and lot is fairly clean and appearance kept up. - the lot is of the size that you don't feel like you can move without hitting someone, even if crowded which it was on my visit. - the inside was clean and the help professional. Yea, here's where I'm getting gas in the future. I head to KC enough that it's time to just bypass the horribly managed Lawrence locations. Bravo to little Eudora for the managers of this place doing a first-rate job.

Could not believe my bad luck with the screw. I was panicked. What in the world was I going to do? Thankfully, my friend suggested that I take my car to Westside 66. I actually looked at him like he was crazy because it was a Sunday afternoon. He assured me they were still open. I have to confess that I did not entirely believe him. LOL. He said, "They can fix it in 10 minutes and it will cost you about $16." Yeah, right. So I headed Westside 66 and kept my fingers crossed. The cashier told me to pull around back and they would look at the tire. Honestly, within ten minutes... the tire was fixed and it cost $16. I could not believe my good luck on finding this place. The mechanic who worked on my tire was nice, professional and he knew exactly what to do to get me fixed. He did not waste time with small talk and he got me right on my way. The cashier was very nice and courteous. She, too, was professional and very helpful. I appreciate her guidance. I asked her if they had been busy and she said it was a slow day for them. It was hard to believe it was a slow work day because both bays were filled and other cars were lined up for service. I will definitely go back to this station for service. I had counted on being there for hours but it was quick, efficient, professional service. WOW. Still cannot believe my luck with this wonderful shop.

I'm usually ready for a break by the time I see this Love's and stop here everything time I'm driving I-70 in the area. The C-store is well stocked. The restrooms are clean. This store is next to a McDonald's and the target audience are those who are making the I-70 trek. There are lots of truckers and families stopping here. I have made this journey many, many times. My best friend lives right off I-70 in Missouri so I am familiar with this road. I have stopped at EZ Go a number of times. Honestly, I don't get the negative reviews because this store has always been great the times I have stopped. The bathrooms are clean which is a BIG PLUS in my book. There is never a wait and that is another plus for me. If you cannot keep a bathroom clean... there isn't much hope. A weary traveler certainly appreciates a clean restroom. The store if clean, too. The items are displayed in an appealing way and there seems to be a great deal of care in the displays. There are many options for drinks and hot food. You have the usual fare such as hot dogs, taquitos and the like. The beverage station is very large, too. They have a great deal variety of chips and sweet snacks. I do not usually get snacks so this is not my level of expertise. From what I can tell, there is a wide selection. This store also has things that truckers would need. There are some tools, liquids and personal items for sale. They also have t-shirts, novelties and souvenirs. I enjoy looking at this portion of the store because I have found some interesting items. I purchased a travel scarf here that I treasure. The prices are in line with a convenience store and nothing seems to be outrageously priced. There is plenty of parking so that is never an issue. The staff is friendly and helpful. They seem happy and they smile back at you. Honestly, it's a convenience store and one is kinda like the other. This one, though, is like an oasis on a long stretch of highway.
