This is the best Love's dog park I have been to with one major exception: The inner door only opens in one direction (in toward the park) because of a rock there. My dogs were eager to get out of the park and back to the car. And the door swinging IN pinched my poor dog's leg. He yelped in pain. Poor doggie! I hope they fix that. Took the exit off I-10 to fuel the bus, this Love's Travel Stop is located just north of the interstate and requires a short jog onto an access road to enter, not difficult but the access road is very rough with lots of potholes and uneven pavement so a very low speed approach is required unless you don't mind having your teeth rattled. The diesel fuel island was easy to access as well as the exit back onto the short service road and interstate. The fueling pump area was pretty well maintained and the staff was friendly although there was a wait at the fuel counter, it seems the staff has many more responsibilities on the truck stop side. Duson is a very rural area so there wasn't much traffic making this a great option - this definitely a fuel stop I'd use again in the future... read more

One of the best customer service I've experienced in my life was provided by the Love's #523 Truck Care employee Mr. Robert Earl. Very respectful, polite, and patient person. I was observing how he was interacting with both, customers and other employees, and honestly, I was impressed. It's rare these days to see that much care and respect from customer service representatives. I can say, that Robert loves his job and he is the same nice guy outside of his job. Great stop this afternoon for a bathroom break and a walk. Love's is my "go to" on the highways and they do a great job. The bathrooms were tidy with no papers or tissue on the floor. Counters were recently wiped dry. Paper towel dispenser worked. Toilet was clean and there was paper. No graffiti. I know these are small things to many but I appreciate a clean bathroom for sure. In the convenience store, lots of water, soda, juices and energy drinks. Coffee and creamers and sugar. The roller grill was stocked and the hot dogs looked to be fresh. Ive been coming to this loves for over a year and I've had great customer service from the cashiers but recently I've noticed new management, with less than friendly faces. Earlier today I was cursed out by a woman with red hair I believe was named Sabra for mentioning that the male bathroom needs a checkup. worst place to get road service manager from the shop is rude. been waiting since Saturday for a roadside service it's already Tuesday they forget to input ticket to send out a truck to fix my truck. Hard to get to but totally worth it once you get inside. Plenty of pumps, but very popular pull off. You are immediately welcomed, sadly I was disappointed to see managers have no mask while employees did have theirs. Bathrooms need to be checked up on, and watch out stall was very slippery, so most definitely watch your step. On the bright side there was a cool button to press if you were unhappy with the bathroom. I might have pressed the sad face multiple times. read more

This is my first time stopping at this Love's location. There was ample parking right at the front door, including handicap. There is a large selection of bottled drinks , including alcoholic, as well as three soda fountains. As for food, The hot dogs smelled delicious and were piping hot. The prep area was clean and they had many condiments to choose from. The clerk was friendly and offered me a tray for my two dogs and packets of toppings. They also had a fresh fruit and sandwich area including fresh hard boiled eggs. The candy and chip selection was the same as any stop I think. They did have cute toys and some plush dolls for anyone wanting to bring home a treat to a young child. The restrooms each had a changing table. They were not spotlessly clean but adequate and acceptable , especially for the evening time and it being rainy outside. They had funny Louisiana themed souvenirs too such as alligator heads and keychains. There is also a Wendy's attached in case you want traditional fast food too! I don't often bookmark gas stations but this one passed the test! read more

The bathroom is disgusting. I shouldn't need to take a shower after using it, but it was that bad.

New or at least Newer Love's. Everything seemed pretty clean and well organized. I had fun using the long handled squeegee to clean the windows of my car. Very convenient. Even the restrooms are pretty clean. No complaints. I prefer bathrooms without doors and this one didn't have a door! Fewer germs. Who cares about "the attitude of the employees"?! It's a gas station... Buy your gas with a credit card, use the bathroom and leave! It's really that simple. I hate people that whine and complain over stupid shit! Had all the basic amenities of Love's. Relatively clean, good "clearance" on some items. Staff generally friendly, some more welcoming than other's; no one was rude. Safe. One of the few truck stops with designated area for Autos. No real complaints. Staff were masked, most wearing it correctly. The Wendy's attached was different story. Staff had mask around chin, useless. I was craving a spicy chicken so I bit the bullet and ordered. Come on guys, mask up so we can control Covid19 spread. read more

This is a neat, cleanish, Gas station with a convenience store,chicken place, and a Wendy's. The convenience store offers all the things you would expect, and in the back they have 6 private shower rooms. I guess that's good for truckers and those who need to bathe while being on the road. The chicken at the chesters was good, but tasted slightly off, which is the case for a lot of food in this area. If I had to do it over again , I'd go for the wendys. read more

This is , or was one of my favorite loves . Use to the coffee was on point . You could always count on there being plenty of hot fresh coffee , and fresh half and half creamer in the dispenser. Well for the past week or so it's been horrible ! No creamer , or bottom of the barrel coffee , that has to be heated up in the microwave. Now that I'm done with my main complaint, here's the rest of the facility. There's an ample amount of fuel pumps for diesel, and the truck parking area is fairly big. The inside of the store is clean , and pretty well stocked. I know some of you might like Wendy's, but I don't . I don't eat that stuff when I'm in south Louisiana , there's too much good food here to eat that. I fuel up at the loves ( got to get my fuel points ) , then I go across the road to Rascals to eat. read more

Then the employees are not nice or welcoming to the customers... They don't say welcome or thank you or goodbye... Been to a lot of truck stops in 34 years. This place sucks bad. Dirty, no one gives a crap when it comes to service and last night and this morning everyone working here generally has a bad attitude. 5 people on the shower board last night and we stood by and watch for nearly 45 minutes the employees argue about who would clean the showers. We stop here every time we visit Houston. This is ole faithful. The store is always cleaned and well organized. The women's restroom is always dirty and the floors are always sticky from urine and water but I guess everything can not be as perfect eh? The cashiers and managers are friendly but be mindful that they will try to short you a dollar and some change if they think you are not paying attention. I've watched it happened and I allowed it to happen to me just to see if the cashiers would attempt to do it more than twice. lol seriously both of the cashiers tried it.
