SO I fell into a pattern on my NYC to California trip. I stopped at a fair number of Love's Truck Stops. Why? They usually had easy on and off to the freeway, they almost always had good gas prices for the area, the bathrooms were clean to spotless, the area between the pumps was nice as I had a moving van, and the long handles made cleaning the windshield easy. I don't know why this dog park is behind the gas station, but there's literally no parking. But even in the front area the parking is very very limited. You would think that since this is right off the freeway in a very busy location they would try to add parking spaces. The dog park was a decent size but you gotta watch out for land mines... People do not clean up after their dogs and this gas station does not maintain the park because there was poop literally everywhere... I mean everywhere was disgusting. read more

Love's has the friendliest staff in town -- any town!! Plus it's the only place I know to get their amazing Schwab's hot dogs. I can't eat just one! They sell a bunch of other cool stuff like electronics and knives and even some cool local-flavored clothes. They are also known to have the best showers outside of a Four Seasons! If I ever find myself in need of a good cleaning, I'll stop here for sure! read more

This one particular has plenty of parking. Clean lot and service shop is good . Clean restrooms and showers. Friendly staff and professional technicians. Tire pass actually works long as technicians on duty. Has McDonald's and Subway inside. Would highly recommend this stop to all semi truck drivers and travelers when in area. If we need a pit stop, we will preferentially stop at Loves. Clean restrooms, safe and clean parking lot and this one even had a fenced dog park. Our pup approved the stop, as did our bladders. There are also fast food options if you are so inclined. read more

This truck stop could be amazing but unfortunately is not. I came in to grab gas before dropping my kids off at school. Stopped at pump 9. Card reader doesn't work, made me go in. Turns out that pumps card reader is overused and broken and the employees know this but it remains unfixed because corporate won't pay for repairs. They ask how much I want to load. I chose $10 so I could fill up at speedway instead (they're incredible). I go out, it's still not working, my baby starts fussing because I'm gone. I go BACK in, the pump is frozen, won't load my purchase and I had to wait for a manager to be able to cancel it. This is not the first time I've had this experience at Loves, I will not be back. I hope management and corporate get it together. I have since gone to speedway... the manager, Guy, is friendly, personable and on top of his stuff. Food is great, machines aren't broken and their lizzas are great for the kids in a pinch:) read more

We had stopped at many Love's travel stops on our recent trip down South and they were really nice! It's a great quick stop for gas and food. They have so many great options for heated food to go. For instance an entire grilled filled with corn dogs, hot dogs, tamales, taquitos, sausage, etc. Aside from that they have your regular convenience store foods and drinks. They also have showers which is something really unusual but great I'm assuming for truckers or people taking a long drive. The guy who checked us out was friendly. This is a Loves Travel stop that we often hit while driving to and from Maryland. This location has a McDonalds and Subway attached to it. It's also heavily patronized by truckers and travelers. The Loves itself is fairly small on the inside compared to other Loves sites. It's just a travel stop, not much else to write about this particular site. I would recommend stopping here! read more

I was traveling coast to coast in my motorhome and late afternoon I stopped to walk my dog and noticed I had a flat rear tire (thankfully the rear axe is a dually). I limped along to the next truck stop for gas and air but the bead was unseated so it wouldn't take air. There was no tire service available at that exit but a trucker was kind enough to tell me to continue East because the next truck stop had a service center. It's after 5pm at this point so I limp to Loves fully expecting to camp there until morning to get fixed up. I made it and pulled in pleasantly surprised that they were still open at 5:30 and could help me. David stepped up and got me jacked up in order to reseat the bead and then inspected the tire. All seemed fine and we couldn't find a leak so he went the extra mile to pull it so he could soak it with soapy water... still no leaks found. So we shrugged our shoulders and remounted it. That's when we found the leak in the braided hose that extends the full point to a more convenient location. He popped that leaking extension off and lowered me off the jack and told me to "have a nice day and drive safe!!!!" That was a lot of work in 40 degree weather and David saved my trip... and then shook my hand and sent me on my way. I felt guilty and offered a tip which he flatly refused. So I told him that he would get a rave Yelp review because he couldn't refuse that! read more

I came here to get my hours back to run my load out in the early am so I decided to take a shower I waiting over thirty minutes was followed around the store despite 8 security cameras all around the store. The cashier was more worried about her friends and calling co workers b words and goofing off then doing their job my boyfriend was finally able to get a filthy shower hair left on toilet towel all dirty bleached up just disgusting! By far the worst loves I've ever been to. read more

Cheap gas!!! $2.09 for regular!! I can't really speak for the inside convenience store but the thrill of finding a gas station with gas prices so close to having a $1 in front of it was exciting during our long trip around the south. read more

This is my second time visiting this particular Love's in Baxter TN and I'm happy say I left satisfied- twice (and somewhat lighter). I was greeted upon entry by the customary "welcome to Loves" by the staff working up front and after a quick nod back at them then I made a bee line for a crapper... having pounded several large coffee's time was crucial. The restrooms were clean, well lit and stocked adequately. To my dismay there was no local flair donning the walls- kudos team Loves for keeping the graffiti under wraps. After 45 mins or emails elapsed I tended to the ol balloon knot and flushed away my shame. Of note the hot water at this Love's is exception. On the way out I browsed the selection of random nascar merchandise and continued on my way. Thanks Love's for a quality place to pinch a loaf while in Baxter. read more

Rented a 26 ft Budget rental truck and was towing a car carrier - fully loaded. Upon checking our tire pressure early on recognized we had an issue with a tire. NOTE: BUDGET DOES NOT DO TIRE INSPECTION BEFORE RENTING. Decided to stop at closest truck stop to air up since our compressor couldn't get to 90. We skipped Uncle Pete's and drove down to Love's. Not used to navigating the truck pumps, we were pleased with the directional signs. Awesome trucker next to us explained how to get air - and used his points to pay. Staff inside AWESOME AND FRIENDLY. The tire inspector was efficient and very helpful. He found the nail in tire quickly, filled it, advised against patching due to location. Called Budget roadside assistance who wouldn't give Love's auth to fix so we waited 3 hours for tech. Sorry to complain about Budget in this, but it just showed how awesome Love's service was. Two stars......by default. Only because I stopped at the truck stop at MM 288 first. Cleanliness doesn't seem to be a top priority. Took a shower and the toilet seat had urine on it and feces splattered inside toilet. To some this may seem petty, but these are the ones they clean frequently. Use the public ones at your own risk. Trash on floor throughout the entire store, just completely unkept. Coffee station a mess, the only saving grace for this place is the mechanics seem to care about outward appearances. Fuel isles clean, bays pressure washed, trash picked up. Much better than 288 (not a high bar), but standards people!!!!! read more
