You would think that since this is right off the freeway in a very busy location they would try to add parking spaces. The dog park was a decent size but you gotta watch out for land mines... I primarily came for the reduced gas prices, clean restrooms, and great snacks, but the friendly staff are always a bonus. This trip I fell in love with the Cherry Maple Beef Jerky as it's sweet and savory without being overly sweet, and the texture isn't too tough. I also really enjoyed the peach tea! A road trip stop somehow turns into a shopping expedition. We stopped at the Crossville location on our way to Nashville and accomplished the essentials: Glazed pecans. Barbecue. A case of water. Road snacks we probably didn't need but somehow couldn't live without. Mission accomplished. Now, compared to some of the giant Buc-ee's locations, this one feels a little smaller. It's still enormous by normal gas station standards, but in the Buc-ee's universe, it's more of a midsize SUV than a monster truck. One disappointment was that the fried chicken and burritos weren't being served during our visit. That's like showing up to a baseball game and finding out the home team has the day off. Still, it's hard to be too critical. The store was clean. The selection was huge. The bathrooms were spotless, as expected. And somehow I walked in for gas and left with enough snacks to survive a minor natural disaster. That's the Buc-ee's experience. Four stars. Because even a smaller Buc-ee's is still better than about 99% of the gas stations you'll find on the road.

My husband and I exchanged glances and he told her 2 for him and his son and 1 for me. I asked her why she asked and she replied "most people don't buy that many". I asked her why she kept track of how many hot dogs people"usually" buy and she replied "I'm not saying it's excessive but most people don't buy that many". We were in shock. #25/2023 Out with the old in with the new…read moreOld Travel Center it was run down and decrepit over at Cookeville that used to have those great fried bologna sandwiches though LOL and the old Amish kitchen is gone! Same owner got himself a grant partnered up with Travel centers of America that has a new ta Express just built. This is a franchise not corporate owned. A very nice facility when I came in just recently opened days before. A very nicely new pave parking lot for now a beautiful brand new building. Featuring three different fast foods in the food court it has a now open Hardee's, a el tapiato fresh Mex Express similar to like Moe's Chipotle etc. And a full-service Sabarro. Are the general public it has easy access to the gas pumps it's got very clean brand new bathrooms of beer cooler soft drinks moderate size convenience store nice looking selection smaller but still good. It also has a community coffee nice to see out of New Orleans area that you find them further south. They're still working out some bugs in here they got showers I got a scale they got a little TV room. They're also the old rundown shop is going to get reopened again he hopes with a little bit of luck as things progress. I think having the TA name under his belt is going to be a good thing to bring more people in I just hope they don't trash it honestly. I came in and had Sbarro the other day enjoyed it very much. I hope you have good luck with the new center it's nice to see how clean it is right off of interstate 40 easily accessible and on the Long mountain route between Cookeville through Sparta down into Chattanooga.
