The day I was there maintenance was there and said they are there at least twice weekly. The place has statues with period clothing, antiques and TVs which post upcoming events. Normally, I flip through in 5 seconds and put back on the stand. Quality Inn had a coupon in three different locations along our route and we opted to stop for the night. Renovations were currently in progress which is probably why I didn't see all the issues other Yelpers mentioned previous to our stay. The night clerk was polite over the phone and in person. Tear the coupon out of the book and take with you when you check into the hotel. We spent $61 plus tax with coupon versus regular rate of $85. They have a covered canopy entrance where you can unload with a large parking lot. The room was functional with everything we needed. Clean and fresh, no odors or stains, extra pillows already on the bed, an abundance of towels, plus a small refrigerate, microwave, coffee pot and flat screen. The room came with free wireless high speed internet with a large, comfortable, well lite desk area to work at. The beds were comfortable with light weight covers and that extra blanket if needed. The bathroom was on the small size but adequate for one person to function but cramped with two people. Just as an FYI, an iron and ironing board was in the closet, not that I used this trip. Room rate includes free hot buffet breakfast which was fresh and decent. Eggs cooked while you wait, bacon, sausage, cereals, muffins, bagels, danish, coffee and juice bar from 6:00 am - 9:00 am. Dining at the buffet saved us at least $15 if we'd stopped at a restaurant so even more of a savings. The outdoor pool area was still close since it was barely Spring and 40 degrees. We found the stay comfortable enough to stay again on the return trip home a couple weeks later. Again, all went well and we'll worth the price. My last bit of advice is DO NOT stay across the street at MOTEL 6. It's $18 cheaper but OMG a total pit and reminded me of a places you see on Law & Order or Cops. The clerk speaks to you through a little box with a tray and that should have been my first clue. Regardless, with all the nastniess of the room they wanted us to stay in, I wouldn't stay at this Motel Six even if free.

Located in the Delta Region at the junction of Highways 49 and 61 near Lula, this center opened in September 2004. There was security at the rest area, which seemed to be somewhat common at rest areas in Mississippi.
