I always get acrylic nails and gel polish. It can cost.$50-$60. I always call for an appointment. Sometimes I have to wait a few minutes but I will pick out color while I wait. I normally use Tom but occasionally Chrissy adds designs seasonally. I've been to other salons but always return as soon as possible. I go 2 to 3 weeks. Bait and Switch sounds like his thing! Traveling through for work. I was looking for powder dip. I called and asked if he did that, he said "yes, do you have it on now "? I said yes! He told me it would be $45. I soaked in acetone for a long time while he did someone else's nails who came in after me. The polish was completely off and I took my fingers out and waited. I'm not sure what he did. Liquid dip base then gel on top I believe. I went to pay & he said that's $70. That's BS. He knew I wasn't local. read more

Used salon because they did dipping powder. First added $10.00 extra charge because I wasn't a regular client. Christy cut my cuticles using dremel tool for nails. 3 fingers were bleeding but no big deal to her. Fingers were sore for a week. I had to go back 3 days later because top coat came off of one. Tom fixed nail but wasn't happy about it. By weeks end top coat was off whole hand. Ruined my nails. 3 nails ended up breaking My nails never break. Pricing changed 3 times while getting dipping powder manicure and gel pedicure. Horrible experience. I do not recommend this salon. Mani/pedi ended up costing $135.00 plus $10.00 upcharge for being new client. Totally ridiculous! Business needs closed in my opinion! read more

I was quoted $25.00 for my nails. They wanted to remove my acrylics, before doing tge new nails. I have had this done before and it cost between five and $10. I didn't think anything of it at the end up getting my nails done they wanted $70.!!!! he said the extra was because they had to takeoff the existing acrylics. They didn't quote a price. Didn't see. The first time I got my nails done in rolla was a bad experience so this time around I wanted to try out somewhere else. This location had great reviews so I decided to try it out with my aunt. This is definitely my new favorite place! The environment was so comfortable and you can have a nice conversation while getting your nails done. My nails looked amazing, they painted my little cousins nails as well. The prices are great. I got a full set of acrylics for $25. The 2 techs were friendly. Our wait time was too long. But more upsetting was the fact that both myself and my daughter we hurt by the same nail tech. My daughter was hurt by the Dremel tool that was used and she bled in two spots. While that same tech was trimming my nails, she clipped the skin under my forefinger on my right hand. I am right handed so now every time I touch anything I am irritated all over again. It really hurt, as she broke the skin which I pointed out to her, and she acted like it was not a big deal. I would've walked out at the point but it was my daughter's birthday and I didn't want to embarrass her. I wasn't aware she'd been injured until we left or I would've left when I was injured. Technician cut and burned me multiple times with her file and electric dremel, applied the thinnest layer of acrylic I've ever received, and then flooded my cuticles with gel polish. read more

I had the wife and she FILED MY SKIN OFF with a rotary file to wear I was bleeding in multiple spots. Three fingers to be exact. When I flinched she told me to stop moving and relax, I said "you cut my finger" and she said "you have dry cuticles". I'm not an expert, but I'm pretty sure that doesn't mean you can just file off my skin. My dip powder was not sealed properly in multiple spots. She was sloppy and got sticky polish all over my knuckles and hand. When I was done I went to the sink, got some paper towels, and applied pressure to my skin where I was bleeding. She came over and asked what I was doing, I said "I'm bleeding" and she told me not to smush my nail. Never ever go to this place. read more

Will NEVER go back to this place. I made an appointment as they aren't taking walk in's due to the wonderful COVID-19. Was there a few minutes before my appointment and Christy chose to not come out of the back of the salon until 15 minutes after my scheduled appointment time. I was there for a fill and had a picture to show her what I wanted. She was extremely rude and told me that would require me getting a new set instead and that they didn't have the time to do it! AFTER she was the one that was 15 minutes LATE. Sorry, but that's not how a business should run, especially when there was no one else in there!! She argues with me about one of my nails being crooked and told me it was my finger, not my nail. Then I asked her to shape my nails to have a square, but rounded edges look and she refused. Told me they were going to be square or nothing! She made my fingers bleed in multiple places and didn't even care. Acted like it wasn't a big deal! Super impatient and rushed! They charged me 55$ for a FILL! And when I talked to Tom about getting a different appointment to actually fix and do what I wanted, because they ended up being nothing like I wanted, he said it would an ADDITIONAL 30$! Why should I have to pay extra for them to correct their wrong?! AND on top of that the white chipped off my thumbnail the day after getting them done. Not happy with this place at all!! read more

I do NOT recommend this place at all!! I took my daughter here for her first set of acrylics and was extremely disappointed in the outcome. She explained (with pictures included) of what she wanted-white tips with ONLY her ring finger tips painted black. Apparently the workers didn't like what she requested and so they did what they wanted instead. They ended up painting all nail tips black but the worst parts are that he didn't fully cover the line that shows where they glued the tips on and one of her pinkie nails is almost literally pointing straight up!! When I asked him why he did this, he never offered to lower price but only to "attempt" to fix them. I declined because I was afraid they'd only make them look worse than they already do. So, unfortunately we won't be going back and I'd recommend that you do a thorough search on them if you decide to go there yourself. #totalwasteofmoneyandtime read more

I have been going to Lovely Nails since they opened--over ten years. Obviously, I find their friendly service, excellent work ( the owners are perfectionists--will not let a customer leave if their work is not perfect), and pristine shop, a business I am proud to recommend to my friends and family. Christy and Tom are like family to their many loyal customers and quickly become friends to new ones. Besides getting your nails done, one must experience the wonderful massaging chairs while being pampered with a pedicure! If you need your brows shaped, Christy is a master. And, oh yes, they will do their best to fit you in even without an appointment. P.S. I don't believe the people who posted the negative reviews could have possibly been at Lovely Nails--must have been confused because their descriptions could not have happened there. I asked around to determine where the best place was to get my nails done in Rolla and the consensus was Lovely Nails. I have been twice now and I will not be going back. I literally have never received worse service in my life. I was in yesterday to get both a manicure and a pedicure and I am not pleased. The women who gave me my manicure was unhappy with me because I wasn't relaxed enough and therefore she missed spots on 7 of my 10 finger nails. I guess I'll give the manicure a 30% I was hopeful that my pedicure would be a more positive experience. Unfortunately I was not a very high priority in the shop yesterday evening likely because I am only 22 and therefore less respectable. The older women next to me had a wonderful pedicure done for her. In the middle of mine the women doing it got up to go put shoes on another women. When she came back she rushed through everything. She did not scrub the rougher areas of my feet, she didn't trim my nails, she didn't trim or push my cuticles. The polish is at least applied well but it looks like I was in a rush and took 5 minutes to paint my own toe nails when in reality I paid $25 for someone else to rush through it in 15 minutes. After all this they sent me over to the area for my pedicure to dry and forgot I was there. I was relatively content waiting because I needed to pick up at pizza at a certain time and waiting there was as easy as waiting in my car. Plus I always mess up my big toe leaving too early. I was still offended that they forgot about me though. Overall this was not a pleasant experience. Again, I will not be returning. This was awful. read more

In desperation to try to find a good nail shop, I drove to Rolla from FLW. I could not find a good shop after trying all of them in Saint Robert. This place is as good as it gets for the area. It is owned by a couple and they both do amazing work. They offer everything you could think of wanting for your nails. They cater to what you want, not a way to make extra money by asking you for glitter tips or nail art. This may sound weird to note but they do understand English and can carry on a dialog. Because the owners are so friendly this place has sorta a barbershop feel to it, even though it may be full of strangers when you walk in the ladies are super friendly and you can sit and chat. It is a fun place to be. I love this shop and hope that you will give it a try. Oh, the parking lot in the front of the building can be a little hard to get in and out sometimes, cause it backs up directly onto Kingshighway. They do have parking on the side of the building that is a little easier to manage. They do accept credit cards. read more

Not a great experience! The lady worked there was very pushy and unfriendly. She was very nervous and didn't ask anything about my favorite design. Also, it was expensive: $30 for basic design! After she finished my manicure, while the salon was not crowded, I had to wait for 10 minutes to pay the money. The entire experience was very uncomfortable and disrespectful, and I wouldn't recommend it. The next day, my nails had already chipped in multiple areas. There were also a lot of tiny air bubbles on my nails. If you want to pay that much money just go to a better salon. read more
