This is the saddest nail salon that I have visited in my whole entire life…read more I didn't know the area so I Yelped the closest nail salons. Exotic Nails was the second nail salon that I visited. The first one was busy. I walk in and ask for a gel fill after standing for a minute workout a greeting. The technician sat me immediately. I was like wow, ok. :-D I'm liking this! I sat. The technician began to wipe my nail with acetone. "No sir", I stated. "These are gel nails and have to be drilled off." The technician stated something in his native tongue and left the station to attend to two other ladies that were in the salon when I arrived. If he was already working on two separate ladies, why tell me he could take me immediately??? I sat....and I waited...and waited. There were three other technicians in the salon, but they were doing pedicures in the back. How long is too long to wait, I'm thinking to myself. While I was waiting six other women trickled in. No one addressed or acknowledged them. Hmmm. Apparently they knew the drill because they too sat, chatted, and waited. I was directed to one of the female nail technicians who had just completed a pedicure. This lady was angry for no reason. She could not understand that I wanted an acrylic fill work gel overlay. She could not speak much English. I asked for someone who could speak English and share with her what I wanted. The original nail technician had complete the work on the two ladies and stated that he would do my nails. After the long wait, getting ping-ponged back and forth, and waiting again; work commenced on my nails. I chatted with the technician. He stated that his wife and daughter was at the doctor and their absence caused the delay in service. (Who makes doctor appointments on one of their busiest work days??? (smh)) That statement got this establishment two stars, otherwise they would have gotten a half of one. It dawned on me that this man was apparently doing the best he had with what he had. The finished product...AWESOME! I was happy with it. The service was ridicule!!!

So I went on my lunch break and didn't have much time but I was the only person in there. I asked…read morefor acrylic powder and he pulled out the dip. Which he said was the same but I don't think this one one bc it took forever to dry and didn't harden correctly. Probably the worse set I've ever gotten. It was sloppy and if I would've had more time I would have made them correct it but I didn't. You could tell the nail tech was inexperienced despite his age.

I understand having a cancellation fee, however, things happen in life that are beyond control, such as emergency hospitalization, that deserve consideration of the policy. And it's not like I was a no show, I sent txt messages letting her know that I was sick and ended up in the hospital. Especially since I had more than four changes to my appointments from Lindsay, to all of which I complied. The last straw for me was when I called a few weeks before my usual appointment to let her know that I removed my extensions and planned to work on growing my natural hair but that I still need a cut and my roots done. On the day of my appointment I was charged $400. (My normal appointments were $500 to move up 2 rows of extensions and cut and color). I paid the $400 being confused but not wanting to cause a scene. I have lived in Atlanta, Charlotte , NC, Dallas and other cities and never in my life have I paid $400 for a cut & color. I feel taken advantage of and it has bothered me to the point of writing this review and never going back.

Just some insight to returning and future customers, think before you purchase any goods or…read moreservices from this business. If you are unsatisfied with any product or service from Club Tabby, don't look for any sort of consolation from the owner. This place needs to learn how to take the time to address unhappy customers and do everything in their power to remedy the situation with grace and sympathetic apology. I wanted to avoid any negative word of mouth exposure, but however, since the person who runs this place is apathetic, it has resulted to this. Unfortunately, in the past, I have spent $200+ on a party (and then some) but couldn't get a minor issue resolved of a refund of $20.00. It's fine. Word-of-mouth gets around quick. If it was that much of a loss to return a lousy 20 bucks, sad for them. This business is out of my life for $20, at least I got off cheap and it wasn't more, now I will forgive it but not forget it and warn others as well!
