Husband and I walked in with no appointment and was immediately seated in the pedicure chairs- 5 stars for that! There was plenty of color polish to chose from and were given a book that list the services they offer with the prices. I opted for $45 deluxe pedi with exfoliating scrub, massage, hot towel and paraffin wax. The lady did ok but my pedi felt so rushed especially for the amount I paid for :/ we were not offered refreshments and she didn't even talk- which was no biggie. I just wish the pedicure lasted longer. The place was clean though, and locals seems to go here because they started getting busier as I was letting my polish dry under the drying lamp. I like my nails schizophrenic. The glitter French manicure says classic glamour with a twist, but the shape screams, "Danger!" They are a less common, sharp stiletto shape that hearken back to the va-va-voom femme fatales of a bygone era. Acrylic powder with a gel topcoat and hard as concrete. They multitask as lock picks, can openers and if needed, deadly weapons. Not long ago someone exclaimed, "Those are vampire nails!" Grrrr. Sam is the best nail tech I have ever had do my nails. His wife stated he is the best in Lake Charles, but that is a massive understatement. I've been getting my nails done for some time, had them done in multiple states, and I've never had as good a quality job as I have had done at Art Nails by Sam. For a month I had been very busy running around, lifting heavy objects and scrubbing with all kinds of chemicals, not to mention I am hard on nails in general...and people were still telling me my nails looked great and had I just had them done...six weeks later! Plus there was absolutely NO lifting, not even a little bit. In order for that to happen you MUST have two things: 1. High quality products and 2. A phenomenal nail tech. Art Nails has both. Kim and Steven are super friendly and give great pedicures. But Sam is the man for nails. He won't give you the warm and fuzzies though. And don't give him some super complicated design to figure out or ask him to suggest a color for you. I can only euphemistically describe his personality as acerbic. But he is the best. Once I figure out what softens him up, I'm going to have him wrapped around my freshly sharpened, pointy little finger. read more

Staff was very nice and professional. My refill only cost $17, and I'm very happy with the results. I had originally gotten my full set at the salon in the mall, but the work was sloppy, and I felt like I needed a refill after a few days. Now they feel a lot stronger, and just look better. My friend and i thought they were very reasonably priced. we couldn't find the hours online so i grabbed a business card and they are open M-Sat: 9AM- 7PM & Sun: 11:30 AM - 5 PM. This will definitely be the place I go to every time I'm in town. Being from out of town and only going to the same person for so many years, I was a bit skeptical about trying a different place especially out of town. I went in on a Friday around 1pm. There was a wedding party there before I arrived, but I still walked in and got sat at a table very quickly. I waited for the guy to finish someone up and then he immediately started to tend to me. I was a little scared especially going in to get a new style done on my nails. I showed him the picture and he immediately went to work. He didn't exactly what I asked and it didn't take any time at all. Especially since after he finished my nails I decided to get a pedicure, which he did himself and such a great job. I felt so relaxed in those amazing massage chairs, and the massage he gave me almost put me to sleep. I got a full-set and a pedicure, and spent less than $60 with a decent tip! I most definitely will be returning and telling people about this place, I've gotten so many compliments on my nails I just love it.
