My pedicure was not at all relaxing today. Technician was more rough than she should have been. Rough with the file, nail clippings and brush. How many times do I have to say ouch before she gets it. I'm stressed too early for a my day off. Water was scalding hot multiple times. Hated the application of my acrylic toenail. Looked awful so I said remove it and polish my nails. if it is possible to give zero stars, I would. I went in for a regular pedicure and this woman hacked me up. she cut my nails way too low and cut my cuticles so bad it bled profusely. I took a elderly lady to get her toe nails cut and she went to pay and the lady said 10.40 so she paid with her credit card and forgot to give a tip so she wanted to add on a 3 dollar tip and the lady didn't know how to do that so she asked this other lady for help and when I looked at the receipt it said 8 dollar tip so I went back to the desk and the woman crossed out the 10.40 and put 15.00 and she said that the tip was 3.00 so I feel like they ripped that elderly lady off. read more

I really and disappointed to write this. I went in for a dip manicure and pedicure. I started with a girl who machine filed the nail polish off my nails until the flaked and burned. After 3 nails she told me to go with a guy. The station was covered in mail powder and the tools had cuticles visible (noticed this midway). He started telling me I should get gel and I told him I came in for dip. He started to remove polish with the foil and cotton ball, but waited about a minute or two before trying to get it off. He didn't remove all of the nail polish under before starting. I asked if he was going to shape and he said later. The nails had weird lines from the way they'll were ground out. He put each finger in the powder and kinda left it there. Didn't flick off the excess. There were cotton pieces and such stuck in the nails. They were bumpy and Lou not snd uneven. I pointed out as much as I could, but it didn't fix them. It doesn't go to the edges and the back is thicker than the front. He said I needed a uv top coat and I said I've never had that with a dip manicure. So he didn't put any too coat in other than like the regular polish. The top is still soft. The girl at the front was sweet and insisted I tell the manager. The manager tried to fix up some things, but it didn't get fully fixed and the lumps and lack of top coat were still an issue. She offered me $5 off and I told her I already paid and she said next time. Unfortunately, I won't be returning. This is the first time I've ever truly had this level of level of quality. If I could give 0 STARS I would!!! I was a walk in and asked if I can get a gel pedicure and can I get the same design on my toes just a different color. I told the assistant which person does my design and asked if she was available. She confirmed and said someone else would do my pedicure and the person who does my design would come over after. Pedicure was done within a 1/2 hr. Not their best work at that. Now I'm waiting for the nail tech to paint my toes and do my design. After waiting 10min,the assistant comes over and says the nail tech can't do my design because another client has showed up for their appt. I tell her,I still need my feet finished and I wouldn't have stayed if I couldn't get what I wanted. The manager holly says she can do the design. Now it's just a French manicure with neon colored ombré..after several attempts,she failed and asked another person to do it. He failed. Now I've been there for almost two hours. The third person tries and does better than the first two but it's still Messy. They said no one knows how to do the design but the girl who is now working on another client. Tells me they tried their best and charged me full price. I argued they wasted my time and just to get peoples money,they claimed they could get a job done,which they all failed at!!! Then Holly tried to blame me by saying I should've made an appt. Worst customer service!!! Holly tried to say she can only take off $5,I still need to pay for service. The service was horrible,customer service was horrible and I had to go to another nail shop to get my polish redone!! They treat people like they aren't in business due to their paying customers. You still need to provide a good service and admit when you've messed up. Come down off your high horse. This particular time I needed my nails fixed because I went to a different salon and walked out of that one with undone nails because they weren't great. Was not a great experience. I waited over an hour because the owner was on her way and never showed up and people that walked in after me left before me. I was in there 2 1/2 hours. The guy did his best but these gel nails are still a little lumpy. This is why they do not have good reviews. The owner should know better and from what people are saying this isn't the first time she's done this let your staff place people in shares not waiting for you. The last two times I have come to get my nails done there has been horrendous service. First visit I called to make an appointment and the young girl who works the front desk gave me a time to come in. I arrived at that time and still had a 90 minute wait. I almost left but they assured me I would be taken next, which I was, but because they were so busy they encouraged me to only get my nails colored and not a full manicure. Again, fine. I was very clear that I did not want a gel manicure, just a regular manicure. The lady doing my nails was not paying attention and colored my nails using the gel nail polish ... then proceeded to have me dry my nails as if it were regular nail polish. A half hour later my nails were not only still very wet but they were incredibly sticky with the nail polish pooling on my fingers. They took the nail polish off and i left manicure-less. I decided to give them a second chance because i had a gift card. The gift card was for $80 - a gel manicure and a pedicure. A male named Kim helped me. He wore a mask the entire time which made it incredibly hard to hear and understand him. I was VERY clear with what I wanted - a dip powder manicure. I did not want gel because the light hurt my hands. When he began, i noticed what he was doing was not a dip manicure. When I asked him about it he proceeded to ask me if i've ever gotten dip before because this was it. I was confused because he wasn't dipping my nail into the powder but was putting some hard substance on my nail. It was clear and had no color. When I asked what it was he said it was better than dip/gel and then asked me to put my hands under the UV/LED light. I was confused and told him i specifically said i did not want that and he told me that it was fine and to take my hand out? Okay. I then asked him if this was the same price as a dip manicure and he said yes. Once this substance was on my nails, he then proceeded to try to color them with the dip powder. The dip would not stick to my nail now due to what he added. We then had to do a gel manicure which required the UV/LED lamp, which again I was VERY clear from the beginning i didn't want. Another employee had to explain to me what was happening because Kim seemed very confused ... from the beginning. My nail smudged while he was painting them and when I showed him he fixed it lazily. When the nail polish hardened snd you could still see the smidge he told me there was nothing else he could do. My pedicure was mainly uneventful, except for at the end he took out the plastic cover that is used for hygiene and then asked me to place my feet back in the foot bath. When I went to pay my total was $115. I was so shocked because in the end I got a gel manicure (that I didn't even want) and a pedicure. Because they only write the prices down on the piece of paper they could not tell me what the four different charges listed on the paper were for. All they said was a $15 charge was added for a cuticle cut. I have never been charged for the cuticles they cut during a manicure. When I spoke to a female, who I think is the manager, she laughed in my face when I told her I asked Kim if what he was doing cost more than the dip powder manicure I originally went there for and he said no. Coincidentally, when I asked to speak to him he was no longer there. Safe to say I will never go back here. read more

After finally being seated by a tech, I showed him my inspo picture and he decided to take that and run with it. I was given possibly the most atrocious acrylic set I have ever seen; the acrylic was lumpy, the nails were different lengths, and the design was NOTHING like what I showed. I went here for a pedicure when I moved to Hamden and didn't really know better. I'd say this was about 8-9 months ago. Either the pedicure technician was totally sidetracked or she was clueless. She used a pumice stone on the wrong parts of my foot. (Think like having a brillo pad rubbed on the top of your hand, compare it to that) This resulted in scabs and ripped skin on the bottom of my foot. It comes w a citrus sugar scrub, followed by a mint-clay-mud mask for your legs- then some really nice tingly lotion. the foot massage was wonderful, Ill be going there again. However, I went over to the front to pay and was told it was $30 for gel toenail polish change.. when the prices displayed indicated: $17/20. My total was $82 something after taxes. It has now been 6 days and four of my nails are lifting... Just finished helping my son with bathing and getting ready for bed.. now I'm missing a nail.. My first visit to this salon was for a full set of acrylic nails and they came out decent. I thought I would give them another try so I went back for a fill, had a different nail tech do it and they came out better. My third time there was very disappointing. I waited over an hour when I was not even told a wait time. I was finally told to go sit at a nail station and someone would be right with me. I sat at the empty station and waited another 20-30 minutes. At this point I was just being moved around so it looked better for them and so they had an extra chair in their waiting room.
